If you have gotten the dialogue you mention, put her in your party and take her to NAr Shadaa landing pad to the same spot where you got the dialogue with Kreia about all the life and misery on NAr Shadaa.

Twice in a day! Start by talikng to the bartender. Then go talk to the guy in the room directly across, standing in fornt of the stage (forgot his name). He will direct you to Nikko who should tell you to investigate the murder scene.

i did that but was left with no clues apart from the spy who was with him at the time but wont confess? who do i give the open vista too? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you haven't met Dhagon gent yet, your business is not finished. Talk to Nikko at the Cantina. You should get prompt to go investigate the site of the murder in the garbage pile. Make sure to examine the droid parts there.\\ You should give your open visa to whoever you want. DS should give it to Sakarie to get one of the best crystals in the game. LS can give to anyone else but I suggest the guy at the entrance of Iziz merchant quarter, he will give 2000coins, XP and can be force persuaded to 3000 with no DS points. You will get a 2nd Visa later.

Light Side or Dark Side; and why?
mr_raider replied to JohnZ117's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
While I agree with your assessment of the first two classes, I disagree with the third. The jedi master I feel is better than the sith lord: The jedi master's power "inspire followers" is better than crush opposition since it increases your damage and AB by 5, while crush opposition lowers the opponents stats, but allows a save. An consular/master gets +6 to wisdom as a mastery bonus, while a consular/sith lord gets +100 FP. The +6 to wis adds +3 to your DC's, and is worth an extra 90 FPs by level 30. Since your personal crystal also boosts wisdom (LS), you can start wisdom at 14, and get it to 30+ by end game with items, and never put a point in it. Instead, you can raise charisma at level up, giving you a discount on DS powers. Even 20 cha is good enough, as it will give you a -5 discount to every shot of force lightning. Finally, I agree that Sith MArauder wins over Weapon MAster, especially for a dex build. You can however make a LS Sith MArauder, and get master fury and force enlightenment. Interestingly, a DS guardian/Sith MAurauder makes a really good blaster wielding jedi, since the damage from mastery, increased combat damage I-III and fury all add to ranged weapon damage, while the LS power, increased melee damage, does not. -
If you hit dxun first, you'll get your LS components in a Cannok.

Use Weapon master or sith marauder as your prestige class, base class is irrelevant. Generally 2 sabres (long/short) will give optimal damage output. Dueling is fine but will give less damage. Use Critical strike or power attack, and the imrpoved beam gem lens. For critical strike use the Shien form, for power attack use the Ataru form. Start either dex or str at 14, and the other at 10. Str builds will do more damage, but dex builds get hit a lot less often. Raise con to 18 to get the best implants. Remember DS players will get 3 free increases to con, while LS players get 1. After that put all increases in either dex or str.

You need to gain sufficient influence with him, or loose sufficient influence, to be able to start the right dialogs. For a LSer, just be nice to him and have in your party when you help people. For a DSer, abuse him as much as possible and kill innocent people.

No. It's just a keen crystal. -

Question on Changing Walk Speed

You can turn off auto run. -
There are no robes with a defense bonus of 5.

BAo-Dur can't take the Heavy armor feat, and his dex sucks. Why he can't wear robes I'll never figure out. My compromise is to level him up any way to 19 (I need those skills damn it!), give him master dueling, flurry, medium armor with an energy resistance overlay, and force powers not restricted by armor (stun droid, heal, energy resistance). I never use him in any of the solo missions where you don't get the exile. Way too fragile.
-
Hogwash. You can combine any base class with any prestige class you like and get a serviceable build. Personnally, I never found much use for the Jedi Master/Sith Lord classes for my pure casters, and I never use guardian for my fighters.
-
What determines whether you get force crush or enlightenment? You alignment at Dantooine, or how many masters you killed?
-
You can't "learn" the Echani fighting style. If you have handmaiden in your party, she will teach you a defensive feat, but that's it. Jedi get pretty good unarmed damage anyway, so I doubt the echani could teach you anything.
-
So it is possible to have LS alignment and get the opposing power? Cool. I can have my cake and eat it too.
-
Do you get force crush or enlightenment on Dantooine? Or both? I'm intrigued, because the Sith Lord/Jedi Master classes suck, I'm thinking going straight consular is the way to go for neutral characters

Best buff power.
mr_raider replied to OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)'s topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Fury and wookie rage are broken. They don't give an extra attack. -
What prestige class do you get if you're neutral? My understanding was the game forces a prestige class on you by the time you do your last planet, if you didn't take one at level 15?

Optimal stats for new characters?
mr_raider replied to Talon Hawke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
In K1, charisma and wis were virtually interchangeable. I think they just wanted to make them seem somewhat different in K2, hence the modified application. -
10% from Inner strength, 10% from improved toughness
-
The question is not whether it is worthless or not, but rather whether it works at all? If the damage reduction is applied behind the scenes and doesn't show in the log, I'm happpy. For energy resistance for example, the log clearly states that there is an energy immunity effect reducing damage. I've also heard that marauder/weaponmaster damage reduction feats don't work either. I'll have to do more tests.

Optimal stats for new characters?
mr_raider replied to Talon Hawke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Kotor 1 was gimped, because you only got half your int modifier as skill points. There was no point in having an intelligence of 12 or 16, 10 or 14 were the only useful values. -
Optimal stats for new characters?

Does charisma help you gain influence on NPCs? I have never seen any evidence of that. It does apply a bonus to your companions' to hit rating however. -
Optimal stats for new characters?
mr_raider replied to Talon Hawke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That's a pretty decent spread for a sentinel. I tend to favor all strength or all dex (14/10 or 10/14), depending on whether I go for a finesse build or not. In kotor 2, your starting stats a re virtually irrelevant, other than con and intelligence. You have to decide where to put your increases depending on whether you want to be a caster or a fighter.
