The build works fine with one saber or two, but then I would skip using the keen crystal. Just use your two highest damage crystals available. You will still crit on 13-20, 12-20 with Ataru form. Con 18 isn't that hard to get. Start at 14. You can get +1 from HK-47, and +2 from Hanharr (DS only). So at worst you need to put three points in it. At the very least, get it to 16 for the better implants. You won't be able to use the D-packages.

What order do you like to go...
mr_raider replied to cretialuv7's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Nar Shadaa allows you to pick up Hanharr/Mira and HK quickly. There are several influence oppurtunities for Hanharr and HK-47 on Dxun and Dantooine which are critical to unlocking their rewards, so that order has some advantages. -
I go to Nar Shadaa first, do the Vogga's hoard quest to get my final component and build the LS. I then go to Dantooine to the cave only to get the crystal and back to Nar Shadaa.

Force jump will give you a sneak attack bonus as you noted but it is not as useful as in K1. You fight indoors most of the time so rarely get the chance to force jump an enemy in clear sight. You can't use any active combat feats during a force jump (notably power attack or critical strike). Plus the guardian base class has nothing over the other two since all classes get the same BAB progression. For a sneak attack build I suggest consular/watchman or consular/assassin. Go dex or str based as you like. Start wis and cha at 14 and leave them there, and keep the other stats at 14 or less. Put your subsequent increases to get con to 18 and the rest in your combat stat. Feats: master TWF, master crtical strike, master toughness Optional: stealth run Your strategy is to stun your enemies with force powers and then sneak attack them. With master speed, you'll be hitting 4 times a round, adding in 4d6 to 8d6 sneak attack damage. Also use two blades and configure your sabers to be keen, so you'll crit range becomes 11-20. Combined with the SHien Lighstabre form you'll raise your crit multiplier to 3x. Let's recap: 4 attacks/round, stunned enemy so add sneak damage to each attack, crit on 11-20, triple damage. By the end of the game you'll hit for 400 damage a round. Screw force jump. Note: you can switch crtical strike for power attack, you'll do more consistent, you will crit less often, but your crits will be monstrous (4x).

I was referring to Dantooine. I'll have to try the setting change.

What problems were you having with dual core? So far I'm OK. BTW, this game is so ATI unfriendly, it lags on friggin' x1900xt!

TSF Bounty: Escaped Criminals
mr_raider replied to JohnZ117's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I've never gotten it to work. DS or LS. I just lie to Grenn about having killed them to close the quest and get the 200 creds. -
You are missing one part. The lens. You must have already gotten the part that Visas has. The final part will keep on spawning at one several preset points, until you get your lightsaber. It will not spawn on Telos. Every planet has some preset spawn points: on Korriban, it's Ludo Kresh's coffin in the tomb in the SHyrack cave. On Dantooine, it will be in Jorran's inventory. On Dxun, you'll find it in a Cannok. On Nar Shadaa there are several points but the easiest is Vogga's vault. Just do the dancing girl/juma juice quest. You can do it as soon as you get to Nar Shadaa, without even fighting anyone. It is normal to be around level 13-14 until you get your LS, since it happens on the first planet you visit after Telos.

You will find out, soon enogh, that he doesn't even have a backside

Actually, the crystal looks the same. The description changes from "faintly" to "radiates a blinding white light" or some such.

Force points won't regenerate
mr_raider replied to Craigboy2's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If you have an item that grants regen, you'll gain your FP back. At a very slow rate. -
http://www.starwarsknights.com/influence4.php Remember to ask Handmaiden about how she anticipates your movements. If you want to be neutral, go all out DS until you get 75% DS and then ask Kreia for your prestige class, then switch to LS acts. Mind you, if you play a consular, you are almost better off as a consular since Jedi Master and Sith Lord are pretty crappy.

Bad writing.

Insanity is a will save. It sticks a lot more often than wave or stasis. Insanity becomes area effect at level 9, stasis at 15. IMHO, insanity wins hands down. For LS consulars, I don't even bother with wave and stasis anymore. I give them insanity and lightning. Considering my charisma is usually close to 20, the cost in FPs is acceptable.

pc oh by the way are you alerted when you have achieved dark side mastery or given a message that you have? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. You will see a little message on the character screen that you have a mastery bonus. Although it will only show the mastery bonus of your prestige class (+50 fp in this case for sith lord), you will actually have both mastery bonuses in effect.

help with character agressiveness
mr_raider replied to the.raven's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That is the only time in the game where that problem becomes annoying, the Telos base fight. I set them on aggressive or jedi support. My solution is to enable auto-pause after each round. Manually cycle through each party member and if they target a person away from the current melee group, disgengae manually (f button) and re-assign a target. repeat after each round. Tedious, but this is the only time you need to do it. For the rest of the game, I leave them on stationnary and kill everything myself. -
How do you turn Bao Dur into jedi?
mr_raider replied to gamr37's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You need to gain enough influence with him or loose enough influence with him. Gaining influence is usually LS and loosing is usually DS. http://www.starwarsknights.com/influence.php -
Need advise on characher building
mr_raider replied to meomao's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I was considering the consular/weapon master too! It's a very intriguing path... In case I make this choice, what stat setup would you advise me and where would you put the 5 bonus point that you take form levelling up? Bye, Federico. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Str build: str: 14 dex: 10 con: 15 int: 14 wis: 14 cha: 10 If you want con 18 implants, raise con twice. If you want con 16 implants, leave it as is. Put the other increases in str. You will get 7 increases if you make it to level 28. dex build: just swap str and dex, and take finesse lightsaber at level 12. This assumes a LS path. A DS path will give additional bonuses to con and strength, allowing you a lower starting con. Also, study the following influence guides, to help you get the desired boosts in attributes: http://www.starwarsknights.com/influence.php -
Need advise on characher building
mr_raider replied to meomao's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I suggest consular as your starting class. You will get more FPs, better DCs on your powers, and boost to wisdom from mastery, which complements your WM very nicely. Sentinel is fine too. I would simply put wis at 14 and cha at 10. Why? In K2, cha does not add to your mana pool. 12 charisma will buy you a measly -1 discount on DS powers, so forget about it. For a LS character, you will be able to get 1 free increase to con, and 2 increases to wisdom from your party members. Feats: max out TWF fighting ASAP. For combat feats, I suggest critical strike or power attack. Both have their advanatages and disadvanatges, but both will really pump up your damage output by end game. While K1 favored the double bladed sabre, K2 clearly favors the dual (long/short) sabre combo. This is because you have more crystals that you can use to upgrade your stats. Also, if you use power attack or critical strike, you will benefit from the added critical threat range of the 2 sword setup. You should at all times have a keen crystal upgrade of some kind on each sabre. Once you get the Shien and Ataru sabre forms, you will be unstoppable. Other feats: master toughness, master jedi defense Skills; Persuade: most important, get it to 20 at least Repair: get it to 20. This is needed to maximize item breakdown efficiency and to repair T3. If you start as a sentinal, take class skill repair at level 3. Computer: raise it to 10 apporximately. You need 15 to repair T3 and can get it there from item boosts Demolitions: 2 points at creation. That's enough to recover all the mines on Peragus Security: 1 point at creation, you'll handle 90% of the locks with that Stealth: only for assassins and watchmen, forget about it treat injury: leftovers go here awareness: leftovers go here, 5 is good, 10 is plenty Powers: get energy resitance and stun droid early, then focus on healing, speed and valor lines. Stasis and force push won't start hitting until you are around level 15 due to low DCs (unless you are a consular). Get affect mind for more dialogue options, but skip dominate mind since it's mostly DS. By the end of the game, get the armor line and if you have any leftovers, go with battle meditation or maybe force lightning. Items: for a str build, don't worry about getting hit. You will get hit, so live with it. Wear the jedi armors with energy absorption underlays. By the end game, you can absorb close to 75% of the damage you take, just from items. If think the jedi armors look girlie, play a girl! -
Once you clear Onderon, you will return to Dxun, your party will be re-formed as one and all equipment will be available again.

The same thing happens when you leave the tomb in Korriban.

Light Side or Dark Side; and why?
mr_raider replied to JohnZ117's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Interesting from an RP point of view, practically useless since you get more than enough FP to cast opposing alignment powers. -
Doesn't that get tedious? I just use Achilles' auto-balance mod. Raises the difficulty of the game, and bumps up XP so hit level 35. Good enough for me.

No specific builds. Just some general advice. Fighter: Start with whatever base class you want. Really, anything is good. I prefer consular, most will say sentinel. Take Sith Maurauder or Weapon MAster as your prestige class. Start with resonably high mental attributes (i.e. wisdom 12 or 14) and leave them there. Raise your physical attrbutes from there onwards, con and either dex or str. If you focus on dex, take the finesse lightsaber feat around level 12. Get the TWF line of feats ASAP, then max out a style of fighting. I prefer Power Attack or critical strike, but flurry is OK too. Take the toughness feats after that. Caster: Start with consular as a class. Take anything as a prestige class. Really anything is good. There is nothing inherently better about Jedi MAster/Sith Lord that makes them better casters. I prefer Sith Assassin or Watchman actually. Start wisdom and charisma at 14, and keep raising one of them. I suggest cha for LS and wis for DS. You may wnat to throw some points in con to get it to 16 or 18 for the better implants. Fighting style: single or double, it doesn't matter. Flurry or critical strikes would be my choices for combat feats. After that get toughness, and the Jedi defense feats.
