  1. Borissimo mentioned increased hand size for Ezren's Evoker role a couple of times in his reply. The document does not list any hand size powers for Evoker though. I checked his roles in-game and indeed, max hand size is 8 for both. In the physical game, the Evoker role has a power to allow a max hand size of 9. Hopefully this is a bug, and not a change in the digital version. Also, Longshot11 makes an interesting comment: "your analysis lacks the perspective of what's to come in future Adventure Decks". Those playing the game here for the first time technically wouldn't know what's coming next. Just as those who played the physical game as it was being released wouldn't know. Not saying meta-advise isn't helpful and it's hard not to let meta-gaming affect your decisions when you already know what's coming. However it is pretty interesting to see what people think without any knowledge of what's to come.
  2. Should I be able to use Burglar to add a die when encountering Poison Trap? PT is a henchman of type 'barrier', so I would have thought so. But I ran into a case where I happened to have Burglar in my hand and ran into the Trap but couldn't use him.
  3. Oh my....you are right. I just checked the rules and every character at an open location can make a check to close it. So it doesn't really matter!
  4. Once you tap 'close this location' to temporarily close a location, is there a way to choose who makes the check if there are multiple characters at the location? You can select a character at the screen that shows all the locations, but once you select one I don't see a way to choose the character to make the check. A few times now I've forgotten to pick a character and go right to closing, and realize it's not the hero I want to be making the check. I figured there would be a way to choose someone else, same way you can choose who makes a check with banes that require multiple checks, but I don't see it.
  5. I noticed that too. But previously I couldn't play Quest mode at all, it would just hang while loading. After I installed the patch that mode works, so it does appear to be a valid patch. Not sure why the updates aren't listed on the Play store page.
  6. I've played through RotR and currently playing Skulls and Shackles and I just noticed tonight that I was able to use those spells off-turn!
  7. Even being experienced with the game I find 6 characters to be a bit unwieldy. There is a lot more management required, both during a game and between scenarios. Not that it's overly complicated, I just find a smaller party more fun. I agree with getting a melee or arcane caster to compliment Merisiel and Kyra. Valeros would be a good choice for a strength melee type and I think Seoni would work better in a smaller team. Ezren is cool too, but I find myself missing the blessings (he has 0, and this can never be raised).
  8. Because of this, Valeros will now forever sound like Arnold in my head.
  9. I'll add that some of my favorite cards are those that let you look at cards in a location deck. Items like Spyglass and spells like Augury were mainstays in our duo run through the physical game (Seoni and Kyra). They can really help with planning your moves, and allow for more favorable skill to bane match-ups. It's also fun when you get lucky enough to divine the location of the villain without having to encounter it!
  10. If you buy the bundle, you get everything available except cards that can only be found in the special treasure chests. Think of it as the equivalent of buying everything available for the physical version of the game. The treasure chests contain extra cards that are digital only. They were not part of the physical version of RotR. It gives those of us who have played through the tabletop game some new cards to unlock and find (and hopefully, with a blessing to the RNG gods, acquire!), as well as giving bundle owners something fun to spend gold on. This is my understanding at least, I'm sure someone will chime in if I'm mistaken.
  11. I remember when the physical game first came out there were discussions about this 'strategy' of just letting time run out while farming for good items. Of course then you may as well just put all the best cards right into your deck and not play at all. In the end it's your game though, so do what you want. In co-ops you are only cheating yourself out of fun (unless you are playing Ghost Stories, then it's ok to cheat because I see no other way of getting a win in that game!) With extra difficultly levels in the digital version of Pathfinder a bit of grinding is a good thing since you'll need the cards, but moving forward to gain skills and feats will also be important. I find it to be a nice balance.
  12. If it works like the physical game, then you'd only be able to choose from basic cards, not any card in your vault. So you wouldn't be able to add something like Father Zantos to your deck. I imagine the digital version must work the same? Since you can customize your starting deck with basic cards when starting a new character anyway, it's not really worth the effort.
