  1. Hmmm, script generator. Pretty cool. We'll see how it fares compared to Lilac Soul's.
  2. From the video here http://www.e3coverage.com/ "For the singleplayer, how many hours are we expecting in this game?" Patrick Mills: "We're actually not sure. Because we've been testing this, and we found that some people go through it very very quickly - we're looking at maybe 30-40 hrs for those guys. For those who want to spend more time, the campaign could possibly be 60 to even 100 hrs long."
  3. If you don't trust Obs, don't blindly rush out and buy the game. Common sense.
  4. You *know* we would murder you.
  5. 1) Fire Emblem 2) Fire Emblem 3) Fire Emblem 4) Fire Emblem 5) Fire Emblem 6) Fire Emblem 7) Fire Emblem Fire Emblem 9) Fire Emblem 10) Fire Emblem There are, of course, only 2 Fire Emblem games.
  6. That didn't look human.
  7. Heh. I used to be a huge JRPG gamer through the SNES/PSX era. Tired conventions and stale gameplay eventually got to me, though. Their storytelling isn't all that, though you can excuse it because gameplay is supposed to be king. The problem is when gameplay isn't king anyway. I play(ed) JRPGs for the story, pretty much, so I didn't mind the gameplay not being up to par back then. But then, there are better ways in which I can access *interactive* storytelling in gaming, or simply better mediums that actually focus on storytelling. But that's just me :/
  8. That doesn't make their stories better.
  9. The rumor system (you find rumors, spread them around and they come true!), Gambling mini games... >.> The contact system is the heart of the gameplay.... Don't think you will find much more of interest if you didn't like it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I see. I don't really have the patience anymore to go through dozens of hours of gameplay I don't find fun just to get to the story. <3 anime
  10. Oh, right. Now I remember. The mute protagonists. It's innovative because you're the character! Is there anything more to gameplay than the persuasion minigame predecessor?
  11. Fascists where? They're commies. All of them.
  12. Ah yes, and is there something unique about its storytelling, or is it the usual linear type?
  13. So how awesome *are* the story/characters? I killed the game in disgust at the simply *horrible* combat system. It's like they took the Oblivion persuasion minigame and made a game out of it. I saw some good potential from P2's story, at least. The whole investigation thingie with the Joker or whatever was interesting, at least. I don't remember P1's being intriguing at all. A bunch of kids unleash demon powers. Save the city/world/etc, yay.
  14. Persona 1/2 are PS1 games. I see you have a PC! *cough* Anyway.
  15. Yeah, the 'new' dialogue system is indeed intriguing, and seems to have been well-received at E3. I'm just interested in seeing how they'll actually pull it off.
  16. Here's the tech demo for those who didn't see it http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?type=mov&id=10757 I dunno, I was hearing lots of praise for the photorealism, but it actually just looks pretty creepy. That 'almost human' look.
  17. But that's no excuse to have crappy gameplay.
  18. Urg, I dunno. I found the Persona battle systems pretty boring and repetitive. The 'You're NEXT' death messages were cool, though.
  19. The stage show demonstration is available on Gamespot now http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/neverwinternights2/index.html Planning on releasing a beta of the toolset before game release. 60-70 terrain textures to paint maps with.
