  1. They're called Roses of the P.M you politically incorrect heathen !
  2. Hey there fella! Canada have the best homos in North America! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know if you mean Homos as in homosexuals or food, but im sure our hommos is better ! OR ELSE !
  3. Islam can kick your Christian asses any day of the week ! We have hommos and tabula ,biatch !
  4. Good article. You've earned 6 Karimi respect points.
  5. This is stupid, not stupider than freedom fries but still bad. As for Muhammed : Christ is the son of God - Mohammed is a prophet. As a prophet he brings the message, sets guidelines, educates , etc. Mohammed is a man ,he can make mistakes but in general is meant to be seen as the rolemodel for all men in manners and worship. But Mohammed was never meant to be even near Gods level, this is further highlighted by Abu Baker (the first caliphate) when he made a speech after Mohd's death saying basically that Islam isn't about Mohd. its about God. More specificially he said something along the lines of : Mohammed is a man and he has gone, if you joined to worship God, God and Islam live on.
  6. Heres my desktop, so messy...
  7. Great game, must buy.
  8. The plot must be solid, yes. I agree with that. I just don't agree that having Revan and the Exile in it would ruin the plot. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think it would ruin the plot, im just saying it might have to work overtime to accomodate DS/LS Revan , female/male Revan.
  9. A Starwars MMORG you say... hmm, sounds familiar though. (Galaxies)
  10. I don't mind a long involved cutscene which explains what happens, and maybe through the story more can be revealed (sorta like K2 but not as slow), it may not be enough but better that than a game which constantly can't really keep the story afloat.
  11. Seems to me like the easiest way out of this is to have the K3 story after the resolution of Revan/The Exile's story. Maybe for the sake of keeping things familiar, the PC could meet Revan's son (it could be Carth/Revan or Bastilla/Revan I guess) or something similiar. Either that or find a way to accomodate all the different tastes.
  12. Im pretty sure arabic is the hardest to learn, other than the grammatical difficulties, words have "Harakat" which affects how its spoken and which letters are stressed, etc. Its also difficult to write because letters have different forms on their place in a sentence. In addition to this there is a letter that can't really be pronounced by non-arabs.
  13. Freedom of speech is a grand thing but I think this is just an attempt at angering Muslims, if you know they're senstive about their religion why piss them off ?? I think freedom of speech is just a excuse to validate insulting muslims. Seems to me that its like when someone kicks a dog to see if it gets mad. Don't insult muslims and expect them to take it as a joke, or accept it, they will get mad and they did get mad. Now, the person who asked how come Muslims don't get bent out of shape when a person makes fun of Jesus. Well, we don't like it either, some arab countries banned Passion of the Christ because it portrays Jesus. But I think the general consensus is that if you won't defend your own prophet why should Muslims?
  14. I agree with you , extremists burning embassies is wrong. Muslims should fight this battle politically, sort of like how Iran is making the holocaust cartoon thing. As for why christians don't take offense , I would say you've been somewhat numbed to the cartoons because of your society. A society which rejects religion , while muslims have lived in a society which respects Mohammed all their lives. Even in everyday life its become a bit more lax. Im not saying this is the only excuse but it contributes to it.
  15. I wasn't talking about Denmark, just freedom of speech in general. I didn't say I don't think Europeans should be secular. I'm just saying what they did was disrespectful to other cultures. As for Denmark they have the right to put those cartoons up, just as I have the right to say all Americans are 'Whatever'. Doesn't mean I should. Doesn't make it right.
  16. um........that's not hyopcrisy, that's Freedom of Speech in action <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I meant that theres hypocrisy that people asked him for an apology, and that PoC was not shown in cinemas because of the complaints. To me they can complain but not to the extent that he has to apologize for it , or to the extent that they can't show a movie.
  17. I think you're underestimating just what sort of a programming nightmare a game like that would be to work on. There is a reason why multiplayer games are generic and spartan plotwise to the point of having almost no story, whereas the plots of even singleplayer games are frequently very fixed and linear. The reason is not that the programmers are lazy and don't want to give us what we want to play. It is simply that such a game would mean that there are large sections of their work that only a portion of the audience will ever see. With the costs of making computer games today, it is just not cost-effective, let alone feasible. This sort of thing was okay for Elite during the golden age of computer games in the 80s when it was just one or two people working on a game. But look at its sequel, Frontier, which was done exclusively by David Braben - it's a huge galaxy where you can go and do absolutely anything you want. But there is no plot. Because creating an open galaxy took all the programming efforts. This was okay to let one guy work on for a long time thirty or even twenty years ago. But today computer games are written by groups of 25+ people working for a year, and that makes any game a major investment. It may change again someday and become easier to do games. The machines could become so fast, that you don't have to do code. Graphics and sounds might become so easy to work with that anyone can do it, if they have the creativity for it. But it is not so in the real world today, and gaming companies that don't accept that won't stay in business for long. Of course. All RPGs are founded on the time-honoured and highly ethical principle of grave-robbery, after all :D Seriously, the real reason is the same as given in many a D&D (or other pnp-rpg book): If you can just buy the good stuff, then what's the point of questing for it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I realize it can't all be done, and its alot of work , im saying thats what I'd like to see, even in small amounts . IE : For trade you can just have a person selling wheat and other goods as items , in different planets, and on each planet theres a different price. Its a bit simple , but its do-able. As for the stores, Im not saying EVERYTHING should be in stores, but different things should be there , or at least stuff I'd like to buy.
  18. The Muslims don't take this thing as a joke, it's a personal insult to any Muslim (I'd compare it to a person drawing stuff about your parents in the paper but it's sort of different). In Islam there are strict rules about drawing the prophet, and to draw him is blasphemous. You people in the west have been desensitized to this after years of becoming more and more secular. Also, there's ALOT of hypocrisy in the freedom of speech business : 1- Marlon Brando got lots of bs from the Jews after the Larry King interview. 2- In France.Belgium, and a group of european countries its illegal to critisize the Holocaust and doubt its authenticity in public. 3- Passion of the Christ was critisized by the Jews. 4- Banning the muslim Hijab in France, so much for freedom of expression.
  19. Would you hurt me if I said whats on my bookshelf ? Even though im not a dev .
  20. I think there should be the option to cruise around the universe, visit places after beating the game . "You saved the galaxy didn't you !?" "Yea, all in a day's work sonny" Yea, I meant some of Freelancer's elements, such as trade, improving the ships, factions. I think it would have to be of Baldurs Gate proportions. It doesn't have to be HUGE it just has to seem huge. I'd like to be able to walk around towns in Tatooine and do more than shop and kill , I'd like to feel like things change. If I come back to a bar that I haven't been to since the start of the game I'd like the bartender to ask me where i've been or why I haven't visited in a while. I agree, it would be cool to call a friend asking him to come online and help you take down Darth Nilithus before dinner.
  21. Pro Evolution Soccer Football Manager 2006 (As you can tell I love football/soccer) ITS FOOTBALL NOT SOCCER YOU MANIACS !
  22. First, Star Wars Galaxies sucks. Second, I never said make the story Multiplayer itself, I said add some sort of multiplayer. Like possibly a bonus after you beat the game once or a patch that comes later. The single player main story thing should be of course the 1st thing to be fully completed for release, and then once the Single Player game releases Obsidian could make a patch or something to add MP. It could become something like Face of Mankind but only tons better. It will be better than World of Warcraft or any other MMoRPG if a KoToR mmorpg existed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Something like Diablo 2 you mean? Where you could play the singleplayer game with a friend ?
  23. I think a bit more of a Freelancer element should be introduced to the game. So that a player is able to do more than just go around and finish the story. I would like to fly my ship around , transport illegal goods like Han , attack trade ships (DS), etc. I'd like to be able to buy some goods from the Hutts, and sell them on another planet. Overall I think there should be a bit more freedom in the game to do what you like , and have your story choices change that. IE: You must get Crystal A from a Hutt on Tatooine , if you kill him, prices for X increase on that planet. You can take the Ebon Hawk, to Corusant fill your ship with that and sell it on Tatooine. But note that killing him would decrease organized crime and theres an increase in the chances of having your cargo stolen or being attacked . I want to see stores play a greater role in the game, for most of Kotor 2 I didn't have to buy anything other than medpacs, most of the weapons and armor I found or killed someone for. As for upgrades I made most of them. I like that about Kotor 2 but I still feel a merchant should have something to offer me.
  24. Sidious I guess.
