  2. GP: I'm having a little trouble digesting this one. It's not hard to believe Germany would ban Dead Space, as they have been fairly quick on the censorship trigger of late. However, given that Japan is the home of Resident Evil, a ban on a survival horror game would be surprising. Also, I'm not even certain that EA distributes console titles in China, due to the piracy issues there. We have a request in to EA to confirm... http://www.gamepolitics.com/2008/09/05/rep...any-china-japan http://www.destructoid.com/dead-space-rele...es-102501.phtml
  3. Good luck.
  4. Opps... I also voted for Grey DeLisle yet did not post her with the others.
  5. Have you tried a different save? I know this might take some time, but the original one could be corrupted or otherwise unplayable.
  6. NWN I has horses now, one of the premium modules added them and the latest, and maybe last, patch put the necessary files into the toolset so anyone could include them.
  7. Errr... Damn printing errors... S.T.L.A.K.E.R. Clear Sky is not in today as they thought it would be. Or, rather, it was in but they had to send those copies back because they lacked an all-important slip of paper.
  8. It limits the number of installations to three, just like Mass Effect, and has some other features that are more invasive and restrictive then the normal disc-check, serial code, or registration.

  10. Nope, I think that piracy hurts the industry and player-base as a whole - although I think that DRM is not an effective or preferable way to combat it. But anyways, the real reason I started this thread was to show that the draconian DRM used by Spore is really only going to impact those who acquire legal copies.
  11. You might try a mod that skips the opening.
  12. EULAs are a gray area and there have been court cases for both sides, but seeing as we are here I will not debate the subject. Although, one could argue that downloading a back-up copy would be legal - even if the uploading was not.
  13. No, wait, I do not believe it is illegal to send part, if not the entire thing, to a person if they can prove that they have a legitimate copy. He, or she, said nothing about the .exe, and thus contacting SecuRom would be pointless - do try to read the postings next time.
  14. S.T.A.L.K.E.R., although I hope that I'll be able to boot up the prequel tomorrow night...
  15. I agree with Samm, those items were enough to convince me that it needed to be uninstalled. Also, at least in my case, I had to manually disable and remove the update service.
  16. "Sex" with your hand while watching Palin's speech -assuming you could stand it- doesn't count....
  17. There are such studies, and a recent congressional investigation found that these programs were deliberately spreading false information within the schools. Not only has this unethical practise blurred the lines between religion and science, but there is a general consensus that these so called "sex education programs" -although they should be known as sex uneducation programs and will be for the reminder of this posting- have actually caused a rise in risky sexual practises and teen pregnancies. Think about it, if the young adults are going to have sex anyways, as numerous studies have showed that the students in the "uneducation programs" are just as likely, if not more likely, to have intercourse or another form of sexual interaction, would you rather they know about sexually transmitted diseases and birth-control, or would you prefer them to believe that condoms cause AIDs and masturbation will cause cancer? ****, these programs even support the misguided "abstinence "virginity" pledges" - things that, while marginally helpful in preventing "regular" sexual intercourse, raised the likelihood that the students would engage in unprotected anal and/or oral sex to avoid breaking the "pledge." We must top the uneducation and brainwashing of America's children! 18. And yet groups like EA seem to think that stricter scams will solve everything...
  19. It's ok, I guess, but I think I'll keep doing what I am now and use Opera, IE7, and Firefox.
  20. As I said last night, Spore has been "Cracked And Torrented." http://kotaku.com/5045120/spore-cracked-an...rrented-already http://gameviper.com/pc/spore-cracked-by-reloaded-group Now, I'm not going to try it as I'm not going to buy the game - but I did look into the matter last night and the release seems to be real...
  21. GoldenEye 2d - great game...
  22. Yeah, I'm torn between getting it and cancelling my pre-order at the moment...
