  1. Sometimes life is more fun than people want to admit.
  2. I make the Internet smart, not the other way around.
  3. Vocation/vacation.
  4. My hobby is wasting my life in front of a computer.
  5. There are bass tabs too, you know, and pianists, well they read notation. It's simply a case of the guitar being the perfect instrument for a fairly good way to transcribe the sounds it makes.

This Malkin business is a reminiscence of what was happening with Soviet players in the late 80s/early 90s (think Mogilny etc). I'm sure there'll be a bit of controversy, but hopefully it'll blow over. The scary thing is that a guy like Mogilny fled from a government and regime that no longer exists, whereas Malkin might be playing with the mafia here, and mafia people tend to have long memories. A bit scary, as GoA said.
  7. What's the fuss about them losing a pre-season friendly? Nobody gives a squat about results in that kinda match; what you're looking for is overall performance, the ability to gain match fitness, and the chance to see a number of players in action (usually there are also tons of substitut
  8. It reminded me of that scene in Hot Shots when Topper sings "Only You", and a few flashes of things they've gone through together (all parodies of other movies) are shown. The one I'm thinking of is the Superman bit where a dove lands on his hand and it's all romantic, but it just won't come off and he shakes his arm and everything. Hilarious.
  9. I put drugs in my drinks for the ultimate wack combo.
  10. Guitar junkie 1: "Hey, Johnny, whaddaya got?" Guitar junkie 2: "Um, let's see, 'Guinnevere' by CSN, 'Tears in Heaven' and 'Don't Think Twice, It's All Right', Dylan song, really good stuff." Guitar junkie 1: "Dude, that's awesome stuff, can I try that Dylan song." Guitar junkie 2: "Not until I see what you got. That's the rules, homey." Guitar junkie 1: "Oh, sure, sorry. Of course, dude. I got 'Blackbird', 'Old King' by Neil Young, 'Spanish Caravan' and, er... 'Smoke on the Water'" Guitar junkie 2: "'Smoke on the Water'? What kinda crap are you trying to pull on me driving for two hours looking for cops in the mirror and I come down here and you bring 'Smoke on the ******* Water'??? Jesus, I thought you were pro man, **** this. I'm out.
  11. True enough, didn't even think of that (and to think I own a bunch of those, heh...), but it's still silly and stupid since guitar tabs made by you or me are interpretations and as such shouldn't be subject to legal action.
  12. The baffling thing is that they actually consider this harmful rather than a gift from above to help them spread their music. How the hell could guitar tabulature on the Internet hurt a record company or artist? Are they just being [pimples on the rear end of f
  13. I thought they were given one shotgun, one shot and got put on a secluded island.
  14. I think he had a tendency to say that about songs a couple of years after their release. "Cry Baby Cry" also springs to mind. Actually I too like "And Your Bird Can Sing"; I think it's one of their very finest songs. The Anthology version is even better than the one on Revolver because all that (probably weed-influenced) giggling just makes you so happy inside.
  15. Actually that's the second image that shows up if you search for 'revolver' on Google Images.
  16. Thanks, it actually helps.
  17. No, I don't, but I sort of imagine that I both drink and pee more than I used to which I've taken as a bad indication. Maybe I'm just getting old...
  18. Well, I did a blood test about six months ago which looked fine in every respect, but is there any chance that I just "lucked out" on e.g. blood sugar? Or is the fact that you have to do it on an empty stomach supposed to eliminate such potential misrepresentations of the blood values? Oh well, I guess I'm just making too much of everything right now.

My most vivid memory of Desjardins was that hat trick in game 2 of the 1993 SCF. I was 13 years old and watched it in the middle of the night with my two Kings-loving friends. They were obviously gutted and I remember feeling a bit sorry for Gretzky.
  20. I forgot one hobby, but that's because it's more like a lifestyle. It's dressing up as Batman and going to bars with extraordinarily questionable clientele and trying to chat the bartender up with sleazy one-liners. Sometimes I switch from Batman to Spider-Man just for the heck of it, but then of course I can't see anything since the Spider-Man outfit doesn't have any holes for my eyes. So that kinda sucks. I usually switch back the night after. Sometimes I rescue people.
  21. Can I develop diabetes without having anything hereditary in my genes to do so? I'm starting to get just a wee bit worried that I may have or may get diabetes even though no relative of mine has it. I'm a hypochondriac since only recently, so I suppose that's one of the main reasons why I worry. When I try to be rational I figure it's nothing, but you never know.
  22. My hobby is watching and impersonating the Fast Show. Other than that, I also enjoy watching and impersonating other stuff.
  23. "Thinks positive, it's gonna start soon"
  24. I'm gonna get me one of those. Imagine pulling up by the night-club in that!
