Yes, I think saying Keaton was the only good Batman is indirectly calling Bale out, when in fact Bale did a very good job with the character.

I picked up Civ4 Warlords yesterday. Unfortunately I've got some studying to do, so I don't have the time to play a whole lot. I've been playing GTA: San Andreas loads lately, however. I have also been thinking of some Europa Universalis II, but I think I'll wait for the third game in the series instead.

The timing sure could have been better. He's been building on his team over the summer and suddenly someone else (apparently Martin, though) is going to take over. I can't see how this helps the Panthers short-term, and even from a long-term perspective this should have happened in June.

Actually I did mean Michael Johnson. He was the star on 200m and 400m some ten years ago. Never lost and set a crazy world record on 200m at 19.32s if my memory serves me correctly.

Not entirely true. A lot of athletes lose focus, determination and inspiration when they become virtually unbeatable. That's when they switch to something else for a new challenge that doesn't involve sure-fire victories. Note that I'm not saying you're entirely wrong either (Michael Johnson springs to mind), but too much success has halted the progress and will to win for many athletes in many sports.

Yeah, I too reckon that shouldn't be possible. I don't see Edmonton finishing behind all of those teams in the same season, but as Alan says it'll be up to the D how we fare. We've sorted goaltending and have a very deep group of forwards, but Lowe is playing it cool with the defense. He'll upgrade when the right man becomes available, but hopefully the players we have on defense will have coped until then, because even if all those guys turn out the way we hope, that defense won't take us very far.
