I think you guys are referring to the fight with Thaos and two giants (and the result)? I'm in the fight, can't defeat the giants at level 9. I'm not a good player. Any tips? Does the HealParty cheat work mid-fight? Is it possible to avoid the fight in the dialogues? By surrendering, admitting guilt?

I got it! Thanks to all! There was a link lower right in the Gorge, leads to Elmshore, then Twin Elms. Does the spider pit in the Gorge have a useful reward?

Yes, I returned to Lady Webb, Also revisited Thornwood and other sites I cleared in that area. Twin E still greyed out.

Had a heck of a time upgrading to 2.0--had to download and install the whole game all over again. My mistake? I was unable to go from defiance to twin elms (after Thoas' attack) before or after 2.0. Did I forget to do something?

I found Raedric and the drake in Od nua fairly easy (easy difficulty) at level 4--put 2 mages in the rear and have them fire missiles, fireballs. Lure the enemy into doorways. But I'm stuck in that dungeon--I have the blood and sapphire seals but can't find the third one? Frustrated. Help!

Been busy! My turning points were finding the mother, then Eder; found the door to the stronghold just right of Hollowstone building. Have terminated Raedric, and the drake, etc.. in Caed Nua. I have the blood and sapphire seals: where is the third? A note mentions a book on level 4? Moving on!

OK, thank you Nakia: I have Eder and Watcher's quest which sent me to Eau Odra (sp) where I cannot get into the Barbican, no travel icon. Underground passage? Also I'm still stuck at level 3.

I found the key, opened Giacco's cell (sounds like a character from Dante). The room next to the temple is I think the one I want, but requires mechanic 5, I have only 3. Yes I had the dream in the inn, but opened no new quests. Eder won't talk to me. I cleaned out the ruined temple dungeon; journal says find Wirtan. Where? I guess I'm not much into story/ roles. Is there a walkthrough for the game? Glad you feel good!

I've cleaned out most of the dungeon floor, but I see another area which I can't enter because not enough Mechanics. How would I recognize the throne room? Someone above has a graph of his difficulty; he did not reach the castle tll level 6. I'm stuck on three. I kill dozens of priests and it does not grant me one xp. Frustrating.

Climbed the vines--I had fought my way up there already--killed all the priests because they had enemy circles but could not open many doors because not enough Mechanics. After killed Osya there was a rusty key but I seem to have lost it. Alternatively, while cooperating with Osya, she told me to kill a priest (Nedham?); since all were dead (?) I went back to her but there was no conversation choice other than Goodbye. So, I'm stuck. Can't advance on the world map either. Kolsc? Eothan? Beasts? Never met any of them.

I've gone through most of the castle and no sign of Raedric. I killed Osya by accident after I grabbed one of the books. I should have agreed to help her? Kolsc? I see a lever just below the temple which I cannot pull?

Eder would not join me, just said Nice Day. End Dialogue. I recruited a (beginning) tank from the inn. Traditional tactics: lure opponents to a doorway where you can handle them one at a time. I cannot find Reik in his castle, but I guess that question should be in the Spoiler section.

Ok I have the patches--don't know how far back I should go? Yes I have been rushing through--did not realize I could hire companions at the inn. Again, what does approved posts mean? Thanks again guys!

Started on Nomal, moved down to lowest difficulty. Have 16 armor on Paladin, level 3. Food helps a little, potions not. Can't get ther character to drink anything while he's fighting; he gets whacked harder. I have one wizard companion--don't know how to get more? I asked where to get the 1.06 patch on another thread (can't find on steam) but lost the thread. Is there a simple link? Thanks to all! P. S. What does it mean to say I need two approved posts?

Game play for a beginner: The health bar means nothing; One whack by an opponent and the character is unconscious or dead even if there's lots of health, as the endurance immediately goes to zero. Strange process. Counterintuitive. How do I build up or protect endurance? Eating the food items does little. Frustrating that whacking down opponents grants no XP. No reward, doggie is not loyal to owner/game.

Where can I get 1.06? I could not find it on Steam, recent updates--I bought it through GOG. Is there a quick link here? Sounds like it creates more problems?

Apologies for this basic question: but, where is the level-up button on the Character page? Also I notice some discepancies between the controls in the manual and those in the game. (no R for Rest)
