Pink Floyd - Run Like Hell (Live) February 12, 1980: Does anybody here like my pig? He'll be glad about that, because he's not a very secure pig. A pig that's not very secure. This next song is for the piggy who's not very secure, and for all his fellow paranoids in the audience tonight, it's called 'Run Like Hell.' Home! Home! February 13, 1980: You like my pig? He's not a very good pig, but he's a BIG pig! We're gonna play a tune for you now that I'd like to dedicate to all the paranoids in the audience, of which I'm sure there are many - let's hear it for all the paranoids! It's called 'Run Like ****!' Home piggy, home! February 13, 1981: Thank you very much. Are you having a good time? Do you like our pig? Yeah, we like him. Go away pig, we've seen enough of you. We're gonna play a song soon, for all the clappers in the audience. Now you can all have a jolly good clap, to this one. It's a little dance tune and it's called 'Run Like Hell.' June 16, 1981: Thank you all very much. This next song's for all the whistlers in the audience. Are there any whistlers in the audience tonight? Let's all have a ****ing good whistle! (Whistles, blows his nose...) Christ, I must learn to do that, it sounds such fun. This is called 'Run Like Hell.' I'd like to see you all getting your hands together and having a good time. Mmmm, disco! Get down! June 17, 1981: Thank you, welcome! Are you gonna have a good time? Does anyone here like pigs? This one is for all you WEAK people in the audience! Is there anyone here who's weak? This is for you; it's called 'Run Like Hell.' Let's all have a clap!* * Recording I'm actually listening to. lol Roger's antics are so awesome on these bootlegs. Too bad one can't write down the frickin's squawks and screams he lets out. Hard to believe guy wasn't on drugs even though it's true and here's the ****ing pig

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird (Live*) *the definitive 14 minutes version
  4. But then again, the dubbed anime gets played on multiple networks, online, and on DVDs, where people are going to likely see at least a whole episode. Compare that to people hearing a snippet of someones voice on a commercial... As far as big names doing video games, I would argue those are as scarce as the big names dubbing anime. If you take out the GTA series and Miyazaki films, both sides get very short very fast. Back on topic, our VO actors are awesome. If Tiffany Grant is on the list you're so dead.
  5. Cowboy Bebop has awesome dub and... and uuuhhhhh well, I hope you hired CB's cast!

Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond part I-V RIP Rick :'(
  7. Um, I actually consider solipsism to be more coherent, consistent and logically sound than belief in god. They both actually suffer similar problems in terms of proof/disproof, but solipsism has the benefit of being built from the ground up more like a scientific theory (but not quite), than some arbitrary religious dogma that so often contradicts itself. To clarify: God is as plausible as solipsism. But solipsism is far more plausible than any specific religion (e.g. Christianity, Islam). You can see counterarguments to your points on wikipedia's article for solipsism if you're interested. Actually, **** this, G
  8. yeah, absolute shocker Rick's performances were absolutely phenomenal and now that he's gone there's no way superior version to this version of Echoes will ever appear because the core and heart of Floyd sound, the deeply interwoven textures and chord structures born out of interplay between David's guitar and Rick's keyboard is now only half AOL: Pink Floyd virtuoso dies he always the most likable one out of them, the George Harrison of PF so to speak

Pink Floyd - The Great Gig in the Sky "And I am not frightened of dying. Any time will do. I don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?" "There's no reason for it
  10. In spirit of previous threats dedicated to Syd Barrett This means immortal, legendary line-up that scored Meddle, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall is gone forever. Wright was always the most underrated band member (compared to glorification Gilmour, Waters and Barrett gets) but whose influence on their music (and thus on music of gigantically humongous number of other bands) was absolutely essential. Especially Dark Side of the Moon showcased his brilliance and I guess I spent what remains of the day listening to The Great Gig in the Sky and Us&Them Click No chance of reunion tour after this... :'(

  24. Ah, I didn't know about the reality-spanning implications of that. While interesting as a thought experiment, it's just another cosmogony... everyone has their own I guess. What is exactly predicted to happen? I don't follow. Good point. We can always use more quality sci-fi. Carry on with the pop science! As a side note, I didn't mean for it to come across as criticism... but it never fails to amaze me how journalists always manage to focus on tangential issues and blow them out of proportion, in order to draw attention. They gotta eat too, I suppose. Did you see this post? Personally I read it in our Tiede-lehti (simply "Science-magazine") some months ago, but I couldn't find it again. Anyway, of course everyone in the field assumes it to be false and tries to disprove it (if they haven't already. ) with varying success. But it is still daunting and shameful fact, because according to their formulations and laws (that in current light are exactly right) we being Boltzmann's brains floating in vacuum is infinitely more likely than we and universe really existing
  25. Then there's mathematician David Berlinski's good analysis regarding the fact just how unprecise modern science comes closer we get to "mind"
