  1. i didn't encounter this bug in previous playthrough but it appears very consistently in BOW fights post 2.0.
  2. i have never encountered that bug before but it seems it is not fixed as i systematically encounter it in BOW even after the new patch. it seems to appear more often when using charm/dominate cipher abilites. please enquire
  3. Isn’t reviving exhortation supposed to Rez the character with a set number of hit point that can be well in excess of of his normal hps? In your example, aloth for instance shall be raised with 392 hp and then lose 196 of those when the effect end, so he’ll survive if he hasn’t lost 200 hp I haven’t use this ability in game so I don’t know if my assumptions are correct
  4. fthey shall change this to generate wounds on any melee attack but the ones that spend wound.
  5. 10% to cast boiling spray at ennemy when wearer is critically hit for okura's kettle is quite clear in the description
  6. It looks like all items with on recieving crit property have been nerfed to trash by reducing proc rate to 10%!!! at least it's the case for nature's embrace / ngati girdle / okura's kettle. i think that 10% is the right proc rate for on hit property, for on crit it shall be something like 33%. Protective eothasian charm darkest before dawn ability shall be made per encounter given how badly it has been nerfed ( from -75% damage to -25%). On the other hand, i think it is important to put a cap on number of figurines that can be brought in one single fight ( cap it a 2).
  7. i also occassionally encounter the same issue
  8. Favoured and disfavoured disposition are implemented and unchanged for Poe1. You can find them on the wiki. Gold pact favour stoic and rational and despise aggressive and passionate while bleak Walkers favour aggressive and cruel and despise benevolent and honnest if I remember correctly.
  9. I must agree with you on this. while i welcome the balancing and the fact that combat will last a little bit longer with the reduced dps, i think that nerfing base damage or boosting HP would have been much preferable route than this. characters spend more than 80% of their time idle. moreover what was the point of nerfing down movement in patch one to boost it again relatively in patch 2.
  10. The only downside to this upcoming rebalancing is that it shatters my plan to do a run with a party composed only of 3 INT characters. I was planning to call them Moron 5.
  11. Thanks maxquest for summarising masterfully the various thread. For once, i welcome the new mechanics eve. With some of the side effects.
  12. Totally agree. As long as the new approach get buffed by the magnitude suggested by boeroer, I see this as an improvement in gameplay balance. Thanks a bunch aartz for arguing the point. This is very much going in the right direction.
  13. yep. but poe2 is the sequel of one the best game of all time with exceptionnal game mechanics ( even if sometimes a bit obscure without the dedication of a couple of hardcore gamers like you). POE1 is the beta of poe2, i suspect POE2 beta shall be the gamma.
  14. I wish i could disagree but it's not possible, you illustrate very clearly why the new approach makes little sense if it is intended. If it's not, then let's hope for a correction. Area of effect when expressed in puny percentage is indeed no penalty ( or bonus) when one factors in how many more ennemy one can actually catch in practice. If anything this makes me question even more the pertinence of devs focusing so much time and effort in buffing RES when PER got sneakily debased through the unwarranted change of the interrrupt mechanism and INT value gets annihilated for any kind of damage-dealing build, either willfully or by oversight.
  15. why do people keep repeating this? when deadfire were first announced, Q1 o' 2018 were the estimate from obsidian for release. well, guess what? Q1 ends march 31, 2018. games is almost always released on tuesdays, so for Gromnir a smart-money bet for deadfire release, previous to actual release announcement, woulda' been march 20, 27 or april 3, 2018. release is only unexpected early if you were expecting a delay, and a delay became increasing unlikely as we got closer to the target release threshold w/o an announcement of delay. as such, april 3 is not earlier than reasonable expectations. now perhaps you got insider info which suggests the development is in disarray and the only reason obsidian is sticking so close to Q1 release is the developer needs immediate money. we personal got no such info. perhaps you look at beta condition and wonder how a release date of april 3 is possible. *shrug* regardless, given the initial target for release and the absence o' a delay announcement, the actual release date obsidan has announced is exact what Gromnir woulda' guessed... which is the only real unexpectedness. HA! Good Fun! you make some fair points. i have no specific info, but backer beta is very underwhelming and since xmas obsidian communication has gone awol and there are no patch release. 2 month indeed look tight. i hope my fears are mistaken and proven wrong.
  16. Bonus is to area, not radius, AoE = area of effect. If AoE is 20 m^2 and we increase it by 60%, what it will become? 32 m^2. I agree that bonus to area is consistant with what is done in poe2, that's actually what made me test the formula. the point is as boeroer puts it clearly that the intellect bonus becomes way too small. With combat lasting 15 second at most, there is currently limited benefit to increase int for buffs ( buffs are either very long like some wizard spell or fairly short but spammable like displined barrage or swift strikes) and now even less for area of effect. i am not sure it is a dump stat but it got seriously nerfed and it is not a stat to max out by any means. i don't feel that intellect was op in poe1 and don't really see the rationale for the change. stat distribution are becoming very stereotyped, max might or Res , max dex...
  17. sorry to spoil the party but i don't share the general enthousiasm triggered by this earlier than expected launch. You got me worried Obsidian! After getting me thrilled and raising my expectation through great community management and active communication you released what i consider an underwhelming backer beta, with significant balance issue, a few flawed new concepts ( interruption, penetration to name a few) and broken vancian caster. A quick reactive patch got my hopes rising again only to be doused again when i find out that the main flaws were barely addressed. Feedback and communication to community have gone dark for almost a month, with absolutely no signs that the healthy pool of suggestion was even remotely considered. interest to test new builds and ideas is at a standstill! And now this. an early launch barely 2 month from now? Do you have secret workforce working night and day to deliver that feat or do you lots of cool stuff already developped and that you witheld from us in the beta? Based on what i have seen in the last month with no build release nor feedback , i have serious doubts now. Don't go "tyranny" on us again ( an amazingly innovative system and story telling spoiled by poor realisation and balancing). Don't do what larian did by realising an half backed version living up to a mere fraction of its amazing potential (where the majority of the fan base is shelving the game waiting for a enhanced edition). POE2 needs to be released as it shall be the final polished version and improvement of one of the now legendary POE1. You have the time, your credit with the community is immense. i would back anything you launch based on your spotless reputation and i think many would do the same. Do not spoil that. Please pretty please.
  18. extra ressource currently do not matter that much given that fights last 15 seconds top ( 5 rounds), so it's quite difficult to deplete ressources especially since the patch where ressource cost got reduced for the best ability and the high level one are basically useless. i like the idea of more spell with current system. i would prefer that spell are not restricted by level but tap into a single mana pool with increasing cost per spell level and some passive for caster to have a toned down version of empower available for increased ressource cost. this would restorce some flexibility to vancian casters and make a significant difference to boost single class
  19. Intellect does not work in the same way as in POE1 when it comes to area of efffect. i did a couple of test and it looks like the x% percent bonus is no longer applied to the radius of the circular area of effect like in poe1 but directly to the surface (pi * r^2). If this is intended it is a very serious nerf of intelligence as impact is reduced from x% to Sqrt( x%). no point in maxing out intelligence, for my skald with 20 intelligence ( so alledged bonus of +60% the actual bonus is only 26% in radius. pretty ridiculous. Is the change intended?
