  1. Fraps and Photoshop, the file sizes are still pretty massive for anybody not on a strong connection so I end up having to crop/cut out frames etc to make it more reasonable for webpages. I also started putting them in spoilers once I realized what the code was. Also: 2 files failed to validate, but I'm pretty sure I know exactly what they were. They most likely were the .exe and pillars.py files because I have the unity console mod on hand. Running the game after validating and reacquiring the files (reloading the save before the events in here unfolded) yields the same outcome, The Floating Hangman still makes it's appearance on the streets of Queen's Berth. So the question now is what is the mod changing, is it even able to affect the game in all of the ways I've been reporting? No mod and the same problem happens...also I'll say now that I haven't had it installed the entire time. Things I've reported earlier were either with no mod, a save game where I used the mod to allow me to properly respec and then saved over it and then removed the mod, or both a save game where the mod was installed and left the mod itself installed as well.
  2. Yes, I completed Eulogy for the Dead where I talked to Yseyr, but there was no mention of Rivan, I also at the time pickpocketed the Engoliero do Espirs (the only mention of Rivan is when you examine the item in the stash) from Yseyr before leaving. This was early in my playthrough. I should stress that I didn't bother clicking the above two dialogue choices marked in red above, clicked the third option, then went to talk to Yseyr again (whereby the quest updated) the 2 marked options in red shouldn't even be there until I've done this. I'm returning to Furrante as I type this. (Which I would have done sooner had I not had the Floating Hangman pay me a visit in Queen's Berth, so I sailed around until the event triggered when I was actually in my ship on the sea.....)
  3. This doesn't look like minimum to me. Obviously bugs exist anywhere. The question is whether or not crowdfunding lends itself to laziness/sloppiness or exacerbates it. The game is estimated to have cost around $25 million. In all honesty I haven't noticed any more or less bugs in this game than in several other non-crowdfunded games. But I guess it's expected that people will hyperbolize about such things on the net. You could see it that way, except for all of the bugs I've been reporting. Or perhaps I'm just that good at finding bugs? I'm not looking for them particularly hard. It just baffles me how I'm finding all of these almost a year after the game released when they seem so obvious and stand out. It's not like I've even played this game multiple times. This is the first time.
  4. This doesn't look like minimum to me. Obviously bugs exist anywhere. The question is whether or not crowdfunding lends itself to laziness/sloppiness or exacerbates it. Also, you being from Japan, I have high respect for products that come from there, mainly due to their quality, or if there's ever a lack thereof, the profuse public apologies that ensue. If this game came out of your country in this state would it be acceptable? 400% of what is actually their minimum, I obviously don't know what they spent that money on, how large or small their team is, but 4.4m is not a small chunk of change to receive in advance.
  5. What could have changed? Or do you mean to say it has always been like this? I've only played NWN2 before this series.
  6. Do crowdfunded games yield sloppy programming due to the fact that money had changed hands before any game has materialized? What incentive is there for developers to provide a quality product when they have been paid in advance? I often wonder if this has negatively affected this game, as I've been finding an exceedingly high amount of bugs with this game during my first time playing.
  7. What's wrong with this game, seriously? I swear, I can't even make this stuff up. Great way to murder the immersion. I sailed from Dunnage to Fort Deadlight and then Neketaka and this happened. Pretty sure the ocean isnt in the middle of Queen's Berth.
  8. I talked to Yseyr the Berathian a while back, but absolutely nothing was said about Lucia Rivan and yet these options opened up to me in conversation with Furrante. I was expecting to have to go back and talk to Yseyr to have these available to me, as would make sense, but they're there anyway. This seems to be a common problem; that is, dialogue options showing up giving my character options they shouldn't know anything about yet. Also of note is a seemingly endless loop you can do for principi reputation, obsidian can find this themselves if they ever get around to fixing this. I didn't have to dig deep to find these errors and a lot of these issues make me wonder if this was playtested at all.
  9. https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/2 You may need an edited file to make it work
  10. It seems too common of a theme to be unintentional at this point. It's absurd that we have to speculate and ponder game descriptions like this.
  11. My geomancer was confused, so I used it to cast lockdown on my pet "Skar", then I cast spells through Skar which should have done nothing to him but instead he was damaged anyway. More description lies. Edit: By the way, skar is knocked out and Lockdown is still in effect. Nice.
  12. It seems like more work to have to go back and do things twice instead of the right way the first time. Most vague descriptions are lacking number values, which is universal and not limited by language so much. I can understand keeping some things vague is perhaps a way to prevent rewriting things if game changes are made but Is there no way to have descriptions tie into and reflect the actual mechanical values or would the current way they have things imply they're stuck manually typing the descriptions (thus the vagueness) like cavemen? That seems like really bad implementation or does the game engine just suck?
  13. I agree, but the picture was more along the lines of an example that obsidian didn't have to be lazy with their descriptions if they didn't want to.
  14. I was never okay with cryptic descriptions in either game and yes, thelee, that's why I quoted him. Also: Huh...imagine that
  15. Why am I able to fulfill the upgrades through spellcasts then? because that's how many soulbound weapons work? this is how it sometimes worked in PoE1, too. Weren't you the one suggesting I read descriptions like a lawyer?
  16. Why am I able to fulfill the upgrades through spellcasts then? Also, every enchant affecting action speed (that I have obtained in game so far) does absolutely nothing for spells. Both Flurry and Eager Lover do nothing.
  17. Nothing to repair, it just kicks me to the main menu and then I reload my quick save.
  18. Before anybody says it only works when you use it in melee, what's the point of binding this to a certain class then? I have it bound to Wizard. It also doesn't specify melee. it simply says "+2% Action Speed on scoring Hit until end of combat. (Stacks up to 10 times)" Where is my action speed bonus? Not only do spells have ridiculous casting times but casters barely get anything to improve action speed??????? I surely hope this is a bug. Or if it's activating (with spells), shouldn't I see some type of buff icon on my character?
  19. Happens consistently with dialogue encounters in Neketaka when you try to quickload. Specifying what I mean just in case: The encounters listed here for example...
  20. So, I left the godlike alone, didn't even start this quest, thus I don't have it in my log....so why exactly am I seeing even more stray dialogue like this? Giacolo is a part of that quest, that of which I don't have and as far as my character goes, has never heard that name before, why exactly would I be looking for someone I don't yet know of? I just happened to randomly run into this person, not actually remembering who "Giacolo" is (from the bugged quest above), I had to yet again do another google search to remember, only to ultimately realize that this is more out-of-the-blue context-less dialogue from this same quest of which I don't even have active.
  21. I did some sneaky sneaks to get that...and trap experience x3 which wasn't exactly easy without disturbing any of them
  22. I was trying to get that cloak, I'm guessing the named naga drops it?
  23. I somehow got the enemy to attack their allies. Guess obsidian can't stop me with their confusion nerf after all.
  24. Guess I answered my own question. Quietest gate ever.
