Its debatable. Everybody likes different effects. Heres a good reference. http://www.gamebanshee.com/starwarskotorii...pgradeguide.php

Another suggestion would be using good energy shields. You don't have to waste a turn to power them up btw. ^_- Pause the game, cancel combat, go into your inventory and select the energy shield you have equiped in the Inventory Screen not the Equipment Screen, click the "Use Item" button at the bottom and go back to fighting. You can do this over and over to soak the damage and you don't have to waste turns getting pounded trying to keep powering up the shields.

A few questions concerning DS playthrough.
cerealkiller replied to cerealkiller's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Then lets examine what exactly is required for them to reach mastery... I'm refering to the only party members i bother converting to jedi, Handmadien and Mira. Visas is already jedi/sith of course. And of course my exile has already reached mastery before leaving Telos. I'm past level 18 by the time i finish Nar Shaddaa so turning Handmadien to jedi just requires a small conversation. By that time i already have 100% influence with her. And i haven't leveled her up at all so she gets force powers from level 6 forward. Handmadien jedi + exile LS mastery + 100% influence = LS mastery for Handmadien. correct? Mira i can convert to jedi and reach 100% influence just from dialogue before leaving Nar Shaddaa. And i haven't leveled her up at all either so she gets force powers starting from level 6. And yes i do defeat Hanharr, six Kath Hounds and two Ubese bounty hunters in Visquis's Lair with her at level 6. Mira jedi + exile LS mastery + 100% influence = LS mastery for Mira. correct? Visas is easy of course. Another 100% influence with just dialogue. My point is, all thats required for a party member to reach mastery is that the exile has mastery, that the party member is a jedi and that the exile has 100% influence with them. So how is that not "doable what so ever" before i leave Narr Shaddar?? -

Not enough content?? Playing LS i can have them all 100% influenced and jedies before leaving Nar Shaddaa. My first planet btw. Seems to me its this buggy-ass game. I feel like i'm beta testing kotorII half the time rather then playing it. <_< -
A few questions concerning DS playthrough.
cerealkiller replied to cerealkiller's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
So i guess no one else is having problems with party members getting the mastery bonus playing LS exile??? I'm playing though again at the moment as LS, will be playing Jedi Sentinel/Jedi Weapon Master class. So i'll see soon if its still bugged once i convert some party members. -
A few questions concerning DS playthrough.
cerealkiller replied to cerealkiller's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
IIRC, you can only get your NPC's to LS or DS mastery if your class is a Jedi Master or Sith Lord. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Negitive. When i played through this time as DS exile i was Jedi Sentinel/Sith Marauder and they got mastery just fine. All Lord or Master does is make it easier to change party members alignments. -
Sacrificing Visas, Turning Mira To A Jedi
cerealkiller replied to darthjardon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not sure why so many people have trouble with her, i always make her a jedi before leaving the planet. Right when she joins the party. For those that are fed up check here. It has the complete dialogue you have with her. -
^what he said^ Urquhart also mentioned their desire to do a Knights of the Old Republic 3 should LucasArts desire it in the future.

Well as you've probably noticed, theres a lot of cut content and bugs throughout just the single player campaign. If they didn't have to time to complete the single player game as it was supposed to be then you could probably understand how trying to add the multiplayer would just make things worse and probably more incomplete.

Intergalatic Reunification bonus mission
cerealkiller replied to 14884_1556103668's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If you let Kreia lead the party instead of the exile and you kill them you won't get the DS point for some reason. Donno if that applies to other party members. -
Just finished playing through as a darkside exile. I hadn't played since the game first came out so some of this i didn't remember. 1. When i was on Onderon i sided with Vaklu completely. Colonel Tobin gets trashed by the beast used to break through the shield in the Palace but unlike the LS playthrough Kreia doesn't bother with him so i assumed he died there. But of course he shows up on the Ravager and the dialog is the EXACT SAME as if i played LS and sided with the Queen. "Have you come to... kill me? The final insult... stripping Onderon, my soldiers, my home from me... only to have me die here." Of course i did none of that since i allied with him and Vaklu. Was this just a oversight by the game creators perhaps? 2. When i return to Telos again in order to get to the Ravager, even though i completely sided with Czerka prior in the game, if i talk to the Ithorian Chodo Habat he talks as if i sided with him and ran Czerka off. And of course when i ask Kreia about Telos at the end of the game she confirms that Czerka controls the planet. So again, is this a bug or just another oversight? 3. Not being nitpicky here but i was wondering how does Kreia and the Handmaiden escape Dantooine to get to the Telos Academy? I noticed Atton was beat up when i got back to the ship of course but am i suppoed to assume that they went all the way there and back on the Ebon Hawk before i could jog back from the Ruins?!? 4. In my first playthrough as a LS exile, i would hit LS mastery and have 100% influence with the jedies in my party, Handmadien, Mira and Visas. But they wouldn't have the lightside mastery bonus. Visas i could understand since she is supposed to be a Sith so LS mastery would be the opposite for her maybe?!? But the other two also come up short of their mastery. The bar is just barely below where it should be for mastery for LS. And i know exactly how much influence i have with them cause i installed the Remote Influence mod where Remote will tell you what influence you have with party members. But when i played through as a DS exile, I got DS mastery and 100% influence with the same three party members and they hit mastery and got their bonus just fine. And i know for sure they didn't get the bonus for LS cause i stripped them of their equipment when i leveled them up and doublechecked the stats just to see if the mastery stat was just hidden for some reason. So is this a bug or what? 5. Playing the DS exile, after Kreia kicks your butt on Dantooine and leaves your party, instead of it being Darth Traya standing there in the loading screen (the one with New Game, Load Game, Movies..etc..) its the exile. Is that due to you being DS or is it cause its my second playthrough? 6. Last question for now. Playing DS exile, when i arrive at the Dantooine Ruins, (all the masters are dead of course) what the heck happens with Kreia there??? I read through the dialog again afterward but its just cryptic as f***! I kinda sorta not really get the general idea sorta but perhaps some of the gurus here might be able to clear up that completely vague dialog exchange. Thanks for the replies in advance. If your not sure or don't know what your talking about btw then don't try to answer. <_< Edit: 7. Another question, at the end of the game when your asking Darth Traya about the future of your allies, if your DS and have Hanharr instead of Mira in your party, she never mentions him. Is this a bug perhaps?

Strangely a lot of my favorite quotes are from Dantooine. When you figure out the salvager is trying to sell you a fake holocron... "blah blah etc... you can't blame me..blah blah" exile: "Actually I *can* blame you. Violently." or the four salvagers just before you go into the enclave ruins... exile: "You've tremendously overestimated your pathetic abilities." The idiot mercenary that calls you a mudlicker... exile: "You want to fight *me?* You're as dumb as you look." mercenary: "blah blah etc fart slobber blah blah" exile: Force Persuade - "Let's have some fun. Hand me your gun."

Is it worth using various fire arms in KotOR II?
cerealkiller replied to a topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You play the Exile using strictly firearms? Odd choise i suppose. Firearms: I think a couple of Micro-Pulse Blasters fully upgraded would be the best guns i can think of, I could be wrong of course. Feats: Two Weapon Fighting Feat of course. Master Rapid Shot Feat has no hit penalties, combine that with Master Speed and you get a couple extra hits per round. Donno what the total would be. Master Power Blast Feat might also be good if you want, i believe it has a -3 to hit but a +12 if you do. Again don't quote me, out of the top of my head. Improved Close Combat Feat Precise Shot V Feat I don't believe a Master gets enough feats for it to be worthwhile. No comment on Obi-Wan. Liked the underwear mods you did btw. -
Whats the worst dark side act you did?
cerealkiller replied to jennahaze's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well theres a lot of sad DS options in the games but some are amusing too. Kill the Rodian standing guard outside the Exchange on Telos, leave and come back and kill his replacement, leave and come back and kill..etc... the exiles comments cracked me up. Visas is just too cool to let die, i don't do it. And i hate going with General Vaklu on Onderon. Queen Talia is the hottest non-playable character in the game. Being able to say stuff to Kreia like: "I will not allow my life to be tied to some half-dead delusional old woman." Odd that you don't lose influence with her for saying stuff like that. Or another favorite, when your on Korriban and you're going in the Sith Academy, Hanharr says something about smelling danger or whatver. You can lose influence with him by saying "Get in there you big furry oaf. I don't care what you smell." -

Can i kill Atton somehow??
cerealkiller replied to cerealkiller's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I like Kreia's character for some reason. Afterall she's supposed to be your mentor so she's justified in her lectures. She may be gnarled and grizzled but at least she has some wisdom to her speeches. Unlike Bastila who just repeated 'jedi teaching' and 'jedi training' and 'darkside' every other word. If i took a drink everytime she said one of those i'd be passed out on my keyboard before reaching Dantooine. PS: Atton must die! -
'Breaking' your party members for influence??
cerealkiller replied to cerealkiller's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Walker_Bogen I haven't played the XBOX verison but i don't believe they're very different from the pc. The influence system seems to only be there to be able to pass 'influence checks' in the dialog with party members. Or in other cases to open up more backstory with them and be able to make jedis out of certain members. But say the exile had LS mastery and takes a DS point, a NPC with 100% positive influence will also take the hit with their LS level. And yes that effects them weather they're in the party at the time or not i believe but i haven't checked that. Darth333 Thanks for the link. Another bug patch to add to the ones i got from the team-gizka site. I just wish the readme file told exactly what dialog it corrects instead of being general. Some of them i believe i know what they correct but a couple i'm not sure. a_influence_inc.ncs & a_influence_dec.ncs & Atton.dlg: all three are required to correct the 'change your regret over the deaths at Malachor from a Dark Side shift to a Light Side shift.' I believe thats correct. a_givecells.ncs & lasavvou.dlg: explains itself. lootra.dlg: explains itself, i always thought it was odd that the increase was only 1 lousy point. sakarie.dlg: i have no idea what this corrects. saquesh.dlg: i have no idea what this corrects. t3m4.dlg: explains itself. visasmarr.dlg: no idea what 'grammatical error' its refering to but i suppose its no big deal. Link to the patches readme file here. -
Can i kill Atton somehow??
cerealkiller replied to cerealkiller's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Believe it or not, i have killed him there a couple of times. The twins will only heal themselves twice each, i got each of their health down really low and ran Atton in the middle of them and let them hack away till his health was almost gone then dropped a Thermal Detonator on all three of us. Couldn't get the desired result. Tried it twice. Game over once, game continues once. -

Ok, I give up... how do I get the prototype shield
cerealkiller replied to Gorth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
^what he/she said^ If your going to work for Czerka, Lorso will give you 'Ithorian Credentials' for when you're supposed to go get the Information Droid for them. -
I'll probably get flamed here by some Atton fan club but i don't mind really. I could go into some long drawn-out post describing all my reasons..etc... but it all get sumed up to i just don't like him... period. And i never make him a jedi. I didn't care for Carth eather and i had the pleasure of murdering him in kotor, i should get the same option here. The method of my madness: If i'm playing a DS evil angry war-scarred sith in the making filled to the brim with malice, i just don't see how i would tolerate his snide lil comments about this and that without the occasional force choke to put him to sleep for a couple of hours. Or i could look at it like, he was a sith and became weak so he abandoned the war effort. DS exile would have no love for him there. Or since he's supposable some jedi killing expert then he could be a risk to myself. Therefore i order HK47 to throw him out the airlock. but i drift... The point of this post was... Is there some path in the game somewhere where he could get killed? I haven't seen one but i've only played DS exile once so i could have missed something.

'Breaking' your party members for influence??
cerealkiller replied to cerealkiller's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I managed to get everyone (accept canderous & kreia) to light side mastery. Its not too hard with most accept with HK47. I would suggest do Nar Shaddaa right after Telos so that you have Dantooine and Onderon / Dxun to gain influence with HK47 and GOTO. With GOTO i ate a couple DS points i think but he wasn't too hard. Got a lot from conversations. For HK i just get rid of other party members and murder a unimportent innocent and take the DS point. As long as you don't go nuts you can get your mastery back pretty easy. Just a example, the old mechanic on Dantooine. Talk to him with a lightsaber in your hand with just HK47 in your party, he'll freak out and says he's gonna tell on you or whatever and you can murder him much to HK's glee. Just make sure you don't do anything that earns you double DS points cause its not worth it to earn it back. If I use the afore-mentioned 'negative influence' technique, will this drive him to the light, of do I have to gain full (90-ish) influence and DSPs, then regain my LSPs to get him there? I believe you can advance the backstorys and earn whatever forcepoints or stat bonuses that you party will give you using the 'negative influence' trick but their alignment will not match yours like it does with positive influence. I haven't tested this personally btw, i think i read it somewhere in the forums. In my opinion DS exile is harder to play. If you want a ship full of DS mastery party members you're going to have to eat a lot a LS points. I just don't see any other way around it if you want their alignment to match. just my 2cents -
'Breaking' your party members for influence??
cerealkiller replied to cerealkiller's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Thanks for clearing that up Darth. I grabbed the remote influence mod where Bao-Dur's remote would tell me my standings with party members for reference. I'm not signed up with the lucasforums so i can't see the post you linked to but i'm assuming you're refering to the Complete Influence Guide by Chris Hendrickson. Its a Excel Worksheet file i believe. Unless its a completely different guild alltogether? In that case i'll signup to check it out.
