  1. That's pretty much how it goes.
  2. I played a little with SadExchange and Gfted, but they both left. *shakes fist* My 41 demon hunter's jumped from 1100 to 1800 dps with a rare bow that dropped for my wizard, though, so taht feels a lot better than auctioning new gear.
  3. How do I preorder this magnificent item?
  4. Pretty cool looking, which player is it? n7player. There's a 7 day fully-fledged demo, then it costs... less than three bucks. I'm happy with it. It's pretty good at finding album art (automatically, or manually where it searches google/bing/etc), and lets you mass edit tags to get rid of duplicates and whatnot. It took me a few hours since my music all had contradictory tags, but now everything is great.
  5. My 49 wizard, despite having over 2k DPS, has a really tough time soloing end of Act 3 Nightmare. Obviously, given that the level cap is 60, you gain new skills/runes more slowly beyond 30, and you get a paltry <5 bonus to your attributes each level, I think after 35 or so levelling hardly matters, except to meet the item use requirements. To make your character competitive in hell and inferno, it seems it's all about the drops you find. ....or more accurately, the auction house. I don't remember in D2 that my character was stuck at too weak to survive, until I turned to trading to get me some leg-up items; now, I have to AH and get me a few items to provide that boost,, so I can get to the next act and enjoy the drops. Maybe it's because I'm mostly playing with 2 or 3 people, though - I used to do a lot of public game 8-player runs.
  6. Retagging a few dozen albums with all correct names and art for a nifty Android music player that has a visual cloud navigation system. And no, that's nto my music.
  7. Yeah, fantasy or modern items, are we talking about? I'll assume fantasy and PM you, for now.
  8. TLJ is fantastic, and Dreamfall is good. The latter may be disappointing in comparison but those two are among the best adventure games I've played that are released this century (wait, when was BG&E?). They're both worth... whatever the price tag is, especially if it's below $20. I'm not sure what was so different about those two games, being a relatively ignorant person in the genre - they're both typical go around, talk to people, gather clues, push the right buttons whatever they look like, progress in the story - but with a great story, some nice wit, and beautiful environments.
  9. Back after a 6 day trip, so can get back to it for a bit. Gifted seems to be in the 50's, I'm eager to get into Hell and start seeing some serious drops.
  10. Haven't seen any uniques or sets at level 44, Nightmare act 3 - but no biggie, feel like I have pretty decent gear at the moment. 1200DPS and 40%MF. Zoltan Kulle was a breeze.
  11. Yeah, I don't think boss runs will be as useful this time - and that's great. It's more enjoyable this way, especially since the bosses in D3 aren't that great anyway. I feel like Belial in particular was very humdrum, and nothing approaches Andariel or Baal.
  12. D2 LOD was an excellent expansion pack, and Act 5 was significnatly more fun than all the other acts. It will be nice to see what they do. I agree there are annoying things like arena bosses, the idiotic story trying to be cool all the time, etc., but in the end nothing beats 4 dudes in nightmare / etc dealing with 3 mobs at once with everything exploding and you trying to stay alive.
  13. I have a Galaxy SII and it's excellent - hard to find bad things about it (OK, well, GPS). iPhones are OK but they're expensive and boring. I'd say wait for S3 if you can, otherwise, S2 is still good - not sure about the Nexus, probably not too different.
  14. Building is not so hard if you have basic computer knowledge, and especially since you'll have another computer to go online and look for tips. The only potential confusion comes from how you deal with CPU/heatsink and, of course, later when you think you've plugged everything in but it invariably doesn't turn on (tip: usually, you forgot a couple of plugs or something hasn't clicked into the motherboard properly). With a 1k pound budget you could do very well, I think.
  15. Yes. Level 40 and 4-player'ing Act 2 NM, getting a bit frustrated now since my dude has 900 DPS, enough, but only 250 vit and 3000 health. There are bosses where I literally step on their fiery emissions and die. Of course, my wizard really shouldn't be this far.
  16. I missed it, but god, should have bet a million dollars on Robben ****ing up a penalty. It's probably the one guaranteed thing in this universe.
  17. You should, yes, but I only just have 400. My gear is rather poor, so I'm trying to load up on MF as much as possible.
  18. Solo Normal is easy pretty much up to Diablo; things are different after that, because Bliz design mob difficulty to account for grinds and reruns, and also for synergies between different characters. My 34 wizard is now in Act 1 nightmare but clearly not ready for it.
  19. Dibs on his DLCs, man!
  20. When they did the whole UNCLE DECKAAAAAAAAAARD thing I knew something I've always known, deep in my heart: Blizzard cannot into stories, skip everything and go explode some dudes.
  21. Added you Lab, I can go along with my Lv1 Monk if you want.
  22. I'll be doing some 'work' at home the next 7 hours or so, so hit me up here if you want to play!
  23. Make sure you go to the options and select Americas servers so we can all play together. Any version of the game can play on any of the US/EU/Asia servers, but your characters on each server is separate. As my Wizard goes up in level I'll start the Monk too, so that whether high or low level I can play with you guys.
  24. Lv23 Wiz and skills are currently excellent, a lot of different options.
  25. You did? I'm still stuck.
