  1. I still don't think those skills are worth it. Kith might be your majority of enemies but...they are easiest one to kill. Most troublesome mobs are not kith, perma stun mobs are not kith etc. Take a look at stats of enemies here: http://orcz.com/Category:Pillars_of_Eternity_Cyclopedia_Bestiary_Entries Most have much higher fortitude than deflection. I ask why? Why is this stat so high.... In my barb retalitation solo run I never had problem with kith. Perma stun/range/magic mobs are problems even for retalitation barb.....
  2. You can still get the quest with her in the party. Just talk to the ambassador again after getting her personal quest. I meant not to take het to party to get Solo achievement bonus. I assumed he is doing solo run....don't know why :/
  3. Awesome! That what I planned to do with my Barb since I just got Animancer Boots . But I am glad you did it first, I can get feedback Link is broken by the way. Tell me more about race/talents and gear to maxed to get maximum damage to Adra Dragon. Cheers mate!
  4. You get Sanguine Armor in defiance bay, not in Twin Elms, and it is NOT from Pallengina's quest....lol... You don't have to do Pallengina's quest for it. Just after meeting her in Defiance Bay and doing quest for this merchant guy (where you bring stuff to some guy) talk to her again after you deal with merchant (she is standing outside buidling) and she will tell that HER AMBASSODOR need help with some stuff. DON'T TAKE HER TO PARTY and just go to Republics Ambassy and talk to Ambassador and you have a quest when you have to go to one of Defiance Bay bridges (sorry for lack of names but I play on Polish version and I don't have time to look for english now) and you kill bunch of guys on it (cutscene will trigger so you will know when) and you loot their bodies and you have Sanguine Armor. You can get Sanguine Armor really easy by using Jolting Touch scroll if you are barb and have OSA- you will probably one-shot whole group with it. Just use some summon to make them pack together close to each other. And Hiro's Cape is just a matter of luck. Stupid becasue I have RNG :/ Cheers.
  5. Just for your information I am currently running two chars through solo PotD. One Fire God Like barb and one Moon Like. Fire God Like is after 2 Act so I can speak more for him. Build: You want to have highest Might, INT and CON. You Can lower DEX as much as you want, it does not matter at all. You can also lower Perception as much as you want to put those points into Resolve to get bonuses to Will and Concentration. Reflex is not so important. Fire-God Like vs Moon God Like problem: with Fire-God like you have to play really smart to lvl 5. Lack of heal is HUGE problem. And it is sometimes frustrating. You have to abuse every bottleneck and items. Fire-God like for good fun I reccommend for solo POTD. However if you are going for triple Crown I suggest Moon Like. His heal is OP. It will carry you till you get first retalitaion item and OSA. Skills: - Frenzy - Defiance - Stalwart Defiance - Blooded - Weapon and Shield talent - Scion of Flame (Fire God Like) - One Stand Alone (get it on lvl 5 ASAP) - Brute Force - Wild Sprint - Vulnerable Attack (5 DR applies to Battle-Forge and Carnage) - Weapon Focus: any (Accuracy is important) Optional: - Threatining Pressence (super synergy with Brute Force and Carnage) - Thick-Skinned (super synergy with Battle-Forged) - Dual Style (for faster attack) - Any Deflection skills GEAR: - Sura Shield - Sanguine Armor (stack with shield) - Hiro's Cape (only if you can get it, stack with shield, not with armor) - Ring with Second Chance (synergy with Battle-Forge and Fire-God Like) - Ring of Deflection - Blunting Belt - Whatever gloves you feel best. - MOST BROKEN: Animancer Boots: granting Jolting Touch spell 3x per rest!!!!!! NOTE: This spell is only spell in-game that is counter as melee. So it get bonuses FROM EVERY BARBARIAN SKILL!! (Carnage, blooded, OSA etc). You can cast this spell INSTANT from boots (takes longer from scrolls) and OHK big groups of enemies. I personally used it on like 10 Druid Ogres in some cave and scored even 168 damage!! I just anihilated them. - Every summon figure you can get. You will need it for Thaos fight. - Weapon of your choice, however you need Draining. So I personally recommend weapon focus: Ruffian. Which gives us Clubs, Silettos and Sabers. In each category you can find Draining weapons and it covers Smash, Pierce and Slash damages. My favourite weapon group so far for Barb. And Blesca's Labor imo best weapon in game for solo since it is Superb, has great accuracy bonuses, Draining and more accuracy and damage when enemy is flanked (summons!). Tips: craft/buy/find as much Jolting Touch scrolls as you can early on. Craft heal potions a lot. DO NOT ENGAGE PERMA STUN MOBS WITHOUT EITHER: a) bottle neck so ony one hit you in melee and kill all his friends behind him b) Wild Spring talent so you can rush in the middle of them to insta-gib them with retalitation/Jolting Touch. Now retalitaion item: your build shines full when you get first retalitaion item. I got Sanguine Armor first and I can tell you how to do it easly: you need at least one summon and at least 2-3 Jolting Touch Scrolls. When you are on bridge (quest with Sanguine Armor), use summon to distract enemies, turn on Defiance (or not, it cost time) and use Wild Spring to get to group of enemies and cast Jolting Touch ON LEAST ARMORED TARGET so you have biggest chances to hit them. You should kill them instantly with it and you have armor. Question: Fire God Like vs Moon God Like- it is simple. Fire= more fun, more Bererker like (droping below 50% means ARMAGGEDON! risky) Moon= more OP tank, but does not feel like barbarian at all :/. When you are below 50% Endurance most enemies usually are already dead if you have two retalitaion items. Howeer once burn damage hits- they just vaporize. 2x Retalitaion damge plus burn gives about (in some fights= 150 total damage per sec per hit. Abuse bottles necks! Problem is with chain paralyze/stun enemies. As Moon you have chance to out heal damage if you are not in melee range. As a Fire-God like you will MUCH MORE rely on potions, magical items with heal and Defiance. If you can get Hiro's Cape and Sura Shield, you can probably use better armor since Cape and Shield should stack retalitation. So you can get something better. For last boss you can you this tactic: it works as long as you have summon and lot of potions and Draining weapon with shield. Retalitaion won't help that much but it is always additional damage. ABUSE FALNKING BONUSES and trap to insta kill Thaos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GkU_V3gKVM&feature=youtu.be If you have any questions- let me know . Cheers!
  6. Why exploit bugs? It isnt fun way to play at all. Well, it isn't fun for YOU, it is fun for me. I am power-builder and I ennjoy getting most OP builds in RPGs because that is fun for me. So Far Fire-God/Moon-God like Barbarians are most fun for me in PoE . I love those builds for solo. For party also
  7. That is intersting. So If I get Hiro's Cape and Shield I can pass on Sanguine Armor and equip even better plate for more defense... Hmmm! I like :D So Cape do not stack with amor, but does with shield. So does Cape stack with shield? My Fire-God like is happy
  8. Check my post in this thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/74862-bug-barbarian-blooded-skill-does-not-work/ For me Blooded activates at the beginning of fight instead of 50% Endurace. Which is just UI bug becasue it actives below 50% (you can hear your bard shout when it does). Seems like Blooded works (I have it in active effects) however information shown to player when it triggers and how much damage it provides seems to be bugged.
  9. I tested it and it seems to work, but UI is broken. I tested it in camp. I gave my self god-mode using IE mod (for testint) and doing damage to calisha (she is immortal somehow so perfect) and at the beginning of fight Blooded triggers (on full health, just beginning of fight) and in active effect showing 1.25 bonus damage. However my damage was about 7-12. Then I let my character drop to below 50% Endurance and I gave him God-Mod again. This locks him in his current HP so now I was testing damage with perma-blooded effect. In Active effect Blooded was still there, however now it was showing 1.45 damage bonus! So below 50% it triggered 0.2 damage bonus in Active Effects. My melee damage on Calisha went up to about 9-15. So from this testing it seems to work just fine, however whole UI proccess when it triggers and how it is shown in Active Effects seems to be bugged.
  10. So I ran few tests with my barbaian with two following weapon having Vliant Enchant: Valiant: +10 Accuracy and x1.2 Damage when below 50% Endurance Weapons tested: Ritezzi's Thorn and Shame or Glory My bard droped below 50% and it did not trigger. In Active Effects I had no "Valiant" triggered. For example Blooded triggers just fine below 50% and I can see in Active Effects "Blooded", same is with other weapon enchants. Can anyone test if it is only me or you have it too. It is easy to test. So far...so bugged... :/

  12. Uh. So far It goes quite well with Fire God Like. I had to play super safe up to 5 lvl (when you get OSA). After that and decent heal items (potions) and gear you can go and clear some packs of mobs. Getting below 50% of HP is pain without retalition. But with OSA it starts finally to do really nice damage! You need draining weapon 95% of time, no doubt. And Bumbing Condition as high as you can with enchants/food/items is essencial. Defiance is insane. Once you are about 75% Endurance, you hit it and your Endurance jump mostly (depends from mob arounds) from 70% to 50/60, mobs drop you again below 50, defiance heal you back to 60. Enough to kill some packs. Still Fire-God Like is not good for triple Crown. Moon God- Like is just too good early on before retaliation shield. Once you get retaliation shield though enemies die mostly before you get to 50%, and if you go below 50% they just vaporize. And one of most important thing is to craft as many (and buy) scrolls of Jolting Touch as you can. If you think that fight didn't go all way you wanted- just nuke them with this spell. You can OHK 7 ogre druids wtith it. Insane. If you wanna go Triple Crown- I suggest Moon God Like. However if you wanna go just solo PotD- Fire God Like is a lot more powerfull and fun and nuke things like an evil boss :D. Can't wait for Sanguine Armor for 2x retalition plus Battleforged...insane...and lets add to it Animancer Boots (3x Jolting touch/rest)- SUPER MEGA INSANE!!
  13. For lower difficluties it may work. But truth is retaliate and Fire-God Like burn is the heaven of barbarian. You can try to do it with monk but you won't have even half effectiveness of barbarian. I am now soloing PotD with Fire-God Like barbarian and it is not so easy OP. You are not moon-like so you have to play game smart to get your hands on retaliation shield and also gear up as fast as you can. I am yet to judge if I would have more success later game with Moon God-Like Either way- if you wanna retaliation build- only barb.
  14. Download IE mod. Press tilde in-game and write "rest"- done, you rest like in normal game. I play like that and I do not seeing it as cheating. Current supplies system is not "hard" part of game. It is FRUSTRAITING part of game. It does not prevent me to finishing dungeon or map. It just makes me run back to buy supplies. It is not challange mechanic, it is fking frustrating and makes me mad. However, good that IE mod is there. Now I feel much more like playing BG and IWD games. Rest is rest. You lie and rest. Simple. And there is no winter or rain in POE....
  15. I dislike and do not agree with Resolve and Perception giving Deflection bonuses. Yet I disagree even more with Perception and Resolve giving minuses to Deflection when below 10. What I mean is: there are some defense stats like Fortitude, Will etc. that are strictly "mind/personal" depend. What I mean is I understand how high resolve can make person more strong willed and understand how good perception can rise ones reflex (you see more, you react faster, you are less to be supprised) or interrupt abilities (you see where to strike). However, Deflection is stat that is primary physical stat. PHYSICAL. That means that in no way high perception or resolve can make your skin thicker, your bones hareder and your shield move faster (that be Dexterity much MORE) or your wound threshold higher. Deflection should be stat ONLY depending on gear, like armor, like shield, like magical barriers/items. Deflection is SO important stat in game that I feel is too important. Also I do not understand why Deflection is affected BY TWO separate stats that have nothing in common (perception and resolve are totaly different traits) while Damage or Reflex or Healing are affected by only one stat. I dislike Deflection mechanic and its stats affection. That is all. I love rest stat distribution. Cheers.
  16. It does matter when you min/max or abuse some game mechanics. Like for example Fire/Moon God-Like Barbrians are broken as fk. But for MOST classes race does not matter that much. However for example if you take Auma with race trait +1 to weapon sets, but another one to have 4 weapon sets, choose Cipher, equip 4x Blunderbusses with Quick Swap talent you are able to generate crazy Focus and finish battles in couple of Mind Blades spam. But those are min/max things, good for solo PotD or just fun from enjoying broken stuff ). But for regular (even PotD) gameplay with full party- race do not matter at all. Unless you are barbarian man.....barbarian....
  17. So, can we unlock by using some console command rare/unique enchantments for weapons/armors? Like Draining, Retalitation, Second Chance, Shield Bash, Overbearing, Predatory etc. Pillars of Eternity Wiki even has ingredients needed for all those echantments, so it has to be somewhere in game... http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Crafting Obsidian: can you please tell us why did you cut off those enchantments from Enchant screen?? I am forced in meta to use weapons I don't like just for right enchants, and I'd love to enchant weapons I like to use instead.
  18. Yeah, someone already got TCS with one, I'd say now's the time to exploit this before OSA or Carnage gets fixed. Also, Human is really good with this build idea too, because the proc has a duration and doesn't instantly expire when healed back over 50%. But that TCS was with Moon God-Like I think. I wanna test if 2x faster AOE killing can compensate for lack of healing. Although barb self heal is also insane and fights with Fire-God Like can end fast enough so your self heal is still on. So far I can see that Moon-God Like is much better in early game, before you can get retaliate shield or armor. Fire-God-Like strugle early on. However, after first retaliation item and then good gear I can already see that it will equal and my theory is it will go on advantage for Fire in mid-end game, once you have decent shield, Sanguine, good rings and potions. But I will just abuse Jolting Touch (scrolls and animants boots) in fights where I don't feel like they end up fast enough . Thaos will be pain but I belive in my Jolting Touches
  19. I started my solo PotD run with Fire-God Like Barb so I will test those things, like weapon swap etc.
  20. Congrats, give me some tips please: 1. Wouldn't Fire God-Like be better choice? The Way burn damage scale with all barb abilities, you basicly have one more retaliate 53 burn damage to all enemies around. I know moon-like has healing but it is the qustion between: kill faster than die or heal faster than die. Opinion? 2. Did you use Draining Weapon or tried Dual Draining Weapon? (do they stack or work independly?) 3. What other items do you recommend and gear? 4. Did you use summons? 5. How did you manage to deal with Chain stuns/paralyze/disables for example? 6. How was dragon solo fight 7. What weapons you were using and reccommend most? I am prepering myself for another PotD solo with Bard and can't decide between Moon-God-Like and Fire-God-Like. I love the idea of even faster AOE killing with Burn damage with Retalition :D. However I don't know how MUST is healing later in game or in 12-15 Endless Paths. So, any help from you is greatly appreciated! Congrats once more :D I think that basically once you have OSA, just plain retaliate is more than sufficient to decimate anything in melee, and so the three free self heals at that point leave less to RNGesus/Luck. Granted, hitting 50% and everything spontaneously combusting does make the fights shorter, which does have defensive value in and of itself (especially on your health pool). The Moon variant uses a weapon that heals you when you do melee damage (which retaliate counts as) so it's more defensive but still very devastating. If Draining weapon enchant counts with retaliate- does it also work with Battleforged? Imagin how much HP you can get back with that retaliation plus burn damage :D. The thing is, every time it'd heal you back you'd lose Battleforged. Your health would yoyo and you'd only proc the fire damage when you're getting hit hard enough or frequently enough for the buffed health you're getting back from the draining retaliation to not be good enough to prevent your health from dipping that low. Basically, if you're Fire Godlike, you eschew the Draining Weapon altogether IMO. Which is fine, just use the Jolting Touch Stiletto instead. :D Well but you do not have to run Drainin weapons all the time. Thing is- you watch you Endurance. Once it is below 50% you are ready to switch weapons. So you use Jolting Touch Stiletto with retaliation shield plus Sanguine Armor, and if you Endurance fall below 80% or so you switch to dual Draining weapons (or draining/shield) and let burn plus retaliation heal you on packs of mobs. Hmmm...gonna try Fire God-Like Will see if he can manage to solo PotD and if he is really walking nuke :D

  22. 1. I assumed that you were not under 50% Endurance a lot. That is why I asked about Fire God-Like since it seems like he would be more so extra 53 burn damage around plus retalition would kill 2x faster than your retaliation build. This could synergize with lack of self-heal since you basicly deal 2x more retaliation damage. Also Fire-God Like is 4 DR under 50%, not 2 . With full plate it gives you 20 DR under 50%. That could be enough to survive enough to anihilate mobs around. Also you could use one Second Chance item just in case so you get back up and retaliate + burn again to finish pack of mobs. But that is just theory. 2. Why maces are rapiers only? Battles axes, silettos and sabers are also very good weapons. Or it was just a matter of right enchants? 3. Wouldn't items that boost healing work also very good for Moon God-Like and Barb self-heal? Two items of 1.1 healing is 20% more healing, which can be significant. 6. So you didn't solo all bosses? Did you solo sky dragon? And why do you think you can't solo Adra if you manged to kill Thaos? Also- did you finish all levels of Endless Path with this build? And wy dual wield over 2H weapon when you dont use shield? There is a lot great 2H weapons and there are Estocs also which are big rapiers on steroids. ALSO PLEASE POST YOUR STATS :D And talents you were getting on what level/order. Thanks for all tips and answers! Gonna experiment with Fire God-Like and see how far it can get. I can always try to spam potions .
