  1. the question whether steam and GoG savegames are compatible hasn't been answered so far, does someone know?
  2. does anyone know whether savegames from the GoG version are compatible with the Steam version? if the patch is released tomorrow and the GoG patch would take until next week, i would probably just buy the Steam version for the patch and continue my playthrough with that
  3. well if the GoG patch really takes 4-5 days longer than the regular (steam) patch then that's the last time i have bought anything from GoG i guess
  4. wait, no "we are aware of this issue and it will be adressed in the upcoming patch" from any of the devs? i'm disappointed
  5. Hey, since afaik there weren't any day 1 patch notes available, i just wanted to request actual patch notes for the upcoming 1.03 patch when it is released, so that it is immediately obvious which of the known bugs are fixed and which ones still have to be actively sidestepped while playing. Thanks!
  6. ehh yeah, my bad as well, the resulting damage will either be x1.4 or x1.44, depending on whether the bonuses stack additively or multiplicatively
  7. this is wrong, the x1.2 damage of soul whip is inherent to that talent and has nothing to do with draining whip. choosing only biting whip will result in x2.4 damage, draining whip has no effect on the damage at all
  8. Some communication from the devs regarding the current status certainly wouldn't hurt. Noone is asking for an exact release date, but some information on which of the issues have been fixed by now and which are still causing headaches would go a long way. It was to be expected that a game of this size and complexity would not be bug-free at release, but the amount of severe show-stoppers like the raedic's hold crash, the cipher focus bug with +focus items, the save/load stat increase, the vanishing ranger pets and the double-click equip bug is quite troubling. Even more troubling is the slow pace at which solving these problems seems to be going... one of the perks of moving away from the sluggish monolith of the classic developer/publisher model was to be increased flexibility and agility for the dev team - the ability to react quickly to arising issues and provide solutions in an unbureaucratic and timely manner (the steam framwork should also help with this..). While many other independant developers hold true to this promise, obsidian's slow pace and withdrawn demeanor is more reminiscent of the uncaring attitude of EA, Ubisoft and the likes. Quite sad, really.
  9. could a moderator or dev acknowledge that this bug has been noted and will be resolved in the upcoming patch (or not) in contrast to the minor effects of the double-click-equip bug this one is an actual gamestopper, since any affected cipher character becomes essentially unplayable...
