  1. Shouldn't it be a bit higher? I was at lvl 4 with full party so my exp got divided by 6 and your not I get the same xp as you do, its how xp system works on PoE thats why this is a great challenge and Im afraid game cannot be soloed on PotD difficulty
  2. I will try a solo Wizard for PotD solo and Im thinking on droping some points on MIGHT ( i mean not maxing it not reducing initial base value), after all its just some % of dmg, and getting full resolve and con so Im more tanky and I cant get interrupted. What do you guys think of this. Maybe adding some Dex so I can go 1h and shield.
  3. You should build arround the shapeshift but not just for the shapeshift if that makes some sense, because the time you will be shapeshifted is too low. I go 2h and do fine tanking on Hard. You can try early levels and if if works for yo uget the 1h shield talent.
  4. Ye I think I was about 5 too... I cleared everything up to the main city and I explored a bit further to the east. But since slaying enemies dont give xp by themselves its not a big deal.
  5. HoTs and DoTs damage seem to be per tick, hence high int results in more dmg and longer healing of these skills.
  6. And if it was like you said some random guy would come here saying : " I enjoy the combat and such but it feels a lil off that half of the rooms in every single place are empties." Does it take that much to enjoy a game how it is? Every single detail in a game is not only for you to enjoy but also a part of a whole some guys created with one pruporse in mind. I bet you dont go to the cinema and after the movie you say, yeah Interstellar is so cool but I would have enjoyed it if it hasnt so much space scenes.... OVERRATED Its good to point out the good things of a game and the bad things, the good moments and the bad ones, but this kind of critics I really find them absurd.
  7. Im clearing everything so far, anyway when they mind control you with one target, doesnt it work like Confuse? Enemies dont attack you then, I dont think they would if they control you. The idea is also to clear as much of the game as I Can, Im playing like a guy with 6 man party would so far. I want to complete the game and see it all, I solo for roleplaying issues and because I really enjoy it not to beat a mark. I bet if you solo and do a run through you can beat the game with most classes, maybe, I dunno, still dont know that much about the game. But the idea is to do what you guys do but with only one character. I mean I even discovered bugs that I could exploit, I wont use them, any of them mechanic based bugs or not.
  8. I will get as much resolve as I can afford. And I've seen already items that give resistance to certain CC. ( I have atm a HEavy ARmour whose stats are : Sturdy: +20 defense against Prone Attacks, +15 defense against push attacks)
  9. Almost back where I was, soon I will finish Act II. That bug was annoying I had to redo some quest in Defiance Bay... I dont think I would be able to advance on PotD... I will test this difficulty when I get some more progress on this character.
  10. The martial classes are going to have a harder time than the spellcasters in soloing. I'm currently on my second character which is a monk on PoTD solo. The first one was a paladin which I doubt could have cleared any further due to a lack of any AoE. I'm just hit level 7 which is a big power spike for monks. Lvl 7 with PoTD? I don think I would be able to beat the game with my Druid on PotD... FIrst stages are easy, more numbers than quality but then game will turn harder I expect, with bosses you cant fool and stuff... I think PotD really needs a party
  11. I also get also perma stunned and perma blinded if I have no caution. I dont use shield because spiritshift is more than enough and shields plus heavy armour kinda makes things so slow for a caster. Different difficulties different builds I dont think there is much point talking about it. I just post what works for me. I will try next solo run on path of the damned and compare.
  12. Yeah I suspect it might just be too little damage and that even if it works it may be rather mind numbing. The reason to go Int as dump is basically to ignore everything but melee and summons. If you are repeating same phrase over and over then Int does literally nothing for you. So you one buff and summons. Focus all equipment and talents to defense, large shield, shield talents etc. You will probably take the +10 Fort, Will buff I would think so that you can get paladin like defenses. Class deflection is same as pally/fighter. This would basically utterly depend on two things: -Can you make a chanter so tough defense wise that he can stand there long enough against anything. -Are the summons good enough. The phantom is ok in early levels. The drake may be pretty good later on. But I rather doubt they can take a dragon even if you keep resummoning. I may be wrong though. On the other hand if they draw aggro it may over time work out quite well. This is where the mind numbing would come in If you are really tough AND the summons take a lot of the damage, you might be able to peck away at things for ever. I cant promise that I wil try, but I will try to try it. Anyway I was about to complete what seemed to be Act II and now I Have to repeat main quest all over again ( from act 1) because an item bugged me. This item isDrinking Horn of Moderation and I suspect its the root of my problem that is my Int Stat keeps raising and raising and raising without end and without any bonus . THe item works so that when you are over 50% ENDURANCE you get +2 Int. I suspect when yo uget below 50% endurance and you heal back you get the initial 2 plus 2 or maybe plus 4 and so on. Pitty. I will be back when I finish Act II with news, things were promising and INT after all afected not much but the aoe and duration and never the damage or the amout of heal. If your druid works without shapeshifting it works with it xD It has no sense to say that its a negative status. It brings you tankyness enough to recover hp and let your enemies die to your spells and mele damage when they hit you. You guys seem not to find the point in shapeshifting, its not just a buff to clean people, its a way to ensure your survival and place some tempo during the fight.
  13. Int makes chants to last longer I dont think is that good idea to go with low Int imo. I have found that summ are not that strong. I will try it and compare. Anyway soloing means ur only character will always be stuck in combat and Im afraid Chant cant take as many hits as a Druid. My idea was to go Cypher solo but I dont know about it either. I will try and tell you how It looks like compare to Druid.
  14. Same problem. I bet this isnt a priority issue for them and I can understand it but I want my cloaks to be shown!
  15. Im doing the main quest now in Defiance Bay and I feel I have leveled up too much for these quests. I also feel I could be doing them in path of the damned without much trouble I really need to find an armour and a 2h that fits to start considering having a build. I may try to have a medium armour so I cast faster, after all I think Im tanky enough. Druid spells too powerfull. The spell sets of this game are amazing.
  16. Druids should never tank. They're missing 20 points of deflection before class abilities and talents, and that difference is huge, and will let even crappy enemies tear through that paltry endurance number like it was paper. In most fights after Chapter 1, if my tanks take more than a couple points of damage from MIN grazes from anything that isn't a spell, I'm profoundly disappointed in them. They are offtanks so tanking a bit are part of their role. You are doing smt wrong with them then, maybe you chose the wrong spiritshift. With his HoTs and bear form I cant think on anything more tanky than a Druid. Ofc it really needs micromanagement, and the larger the party the less time you can afford on each character separately.
  17. Go for 2h ( there is a talent that increases the accuracy of certain weapons, pick it eventually dont rush it tho) and dont go for plate armour ( fighter has bonus with them but druids dont as far as I know). Get instead medium armours such as leather arm etc. Maybe you can even have a staff, better roleplay for a druid right?! And yes focus talents on getting more number of spells per rest. Have you created it already? Maybe you would want him to be a Godlike moon race. It's a good race for a offtank supportive druid on a 6man party. But anyway this is up to preference and I always recomend roleplay over build perfection. Wildstrike talent is good as long as you are the one main tanker, which in a 6man party wont be, but It helped me on my build.
  18. Well it deppends on what you want him to be. If you play a 6man party you would want him to have a medium armour so he can cast heals and spells faster. If he is to be your main Tank, maybe you want him 1h 1 shield with draining ench on his sword and hots. I run him with a 2h, looks cooler and his role as offtank can be perform good with his HoTs and bear form. for a 6man party I would have him focushed stats on might con and maybe more dex and resolve than int. He would be the offtank healing your main tank and getting as much dps and aggro as posible. There is a Talent that improves the use of 1h and shield build I would consider it. The Wildstrike Burn damage maybe wouldnt be so necesary for 6 man so you could get the Talents that increases the number of the spells you can use per rest.
  19. Wizards seem weak and kinda useless in the early game but as game progresses they should do fine considering the spells set they have.
  20. I must add that cheesing is the only viable way of beating most enemies, but I do it not only to beat the game as a challenge that is my pruporse, but because it fits in a roleplay atmosphere. If you were surrounded by ghost or any other enemy, wouldnt you find a way of fighting the fewer foes as posible at one time?
  21. Ask specifically I will be glad to help. Strategies? As I said pull the bad guys and try to be in contact with the fewer enemies as posible using the envrioment...ROcks Trees.... In the city is easier. I use a plate armour and a 2h Sword they arent enchanted yet as I would like to. I would go for as many CC resist as posible and I want my 2h weapon to have the Draining ench ( I have a 1h weapon with this ech I use if things go bad). When I get a decent armour and 2h I will be glad to post my full build. Rotations deppends on the enemy really... Generally I start with aoe spells depending of number / resistances and then Bear form to recover hp. Then I start cleaning. Crucible of the Soul is an important skill, a bit OP for druid IMO. Fear is also a basic skill to prevent enemies from hitting me. When the enemies/enemy are fewer or only a big one I go for DoTs on that enemy and HoTs on myself, I want long combats where the enemies will get out of spells. Food is important and my build is focushed on getting a lot of Survival. I got some Stealth early on but I think its a waste remaining points should go for Athletics.
