  1. Ability to drop items Reworked encumbrance with option to switch off for people who prefer unrealistic-but-no-managing unlimited inventory Random encounters! Are there any? I'm early in the game. I hope they are there in some form as getting the same encounters on every playthrough will be dull. Individual sneak mode Ability to 'wait' Ability to talk to the 'kickstarter' type characters rather than just view their backgrounds but have no other interaction with them
  2. This should surely be easy to add? Like resting but without the....rest
  3. Agreed. I just mentioned on another thread it is annoying for RP reasons to have non-sneaky characters forced to sneak, if your rogue is looking for a trap or hidden item. I would greatly appreciate it if they changed this.
  4. You disagree because it's wrong, or because you love banana's? I'd seriously like to hear some counter-crits here as the OP has pointed out some factual issues. I don't see a single factual issue - sorry! Always have to sneak into combat? No. I base whether I do or not on my character, e.g. my Paladin does not sneak anywhere unless someone in the party is searching for traps etc. (although I'm annoyed the Paladin has to also enter sneak mode to achieve this). Monks having to get hit to use their powers is not 'stupid beyond belief'. It's interesting and a good idea. Almost every fight your rogue/wizard/etc gets dropped? Then your tactics are all over the place. Keep them at the back and if anyone engages them get all your party to focus on that one guy until the squishy guy is freed up. Real-time pause combat. I have played D:OS and I prefer the PoE system. I found the lack of Pause in D:OS just plain weird. I am an infinity engine gamer. Pause is my friend. I'm surprised the OP backed the game if he didn't want to see a game with this combat system, since it was always clearly stated from what I can gather. Spells are not terrible. They are working fine for me. If you need more buffs and find yourself resting too often just drop the difficulty. I'm playing on Hard and finding it challenging but had no need to rest outside of the normal day/night cycle yet, although I am early in the game since I replayed the first bit about 6 times to test out different characters. So yeah sorry LeBurns I see zero factual issues and 100% the OP's opinions. [edit] and as someone else has said, set up your auto-pause options for when enemies are sighted. Hey presto no more scouting for enemies unless it fits your RP. [edit 2] a potion of endurance recovery saved my character's life in the middle of a fight, so I wouldn't agree that potions are useless.
  5. I find not being able to 'drop' things quite annoying, I have to say.
  6. Disagree on almost every point - I guess this game isn't for you. Move on. [edit] with thanks from me for kickstarting it...
  7. That's a weird design decision. I can talk to uninteresting townspeople but not to the interesting chars unless they are part of a quest.
  8. Named characters that I see give me the option to reach out for their soul, or 'step back', when I click on them. Am I completely unable to speak to these characters?? Or do I need to activate some sort of speech control that I can't see. Thanks for any replies on this!
  9. I've decided to manually enforce my enbumbrance, using the stash for gems, herbs etc but not weapons and armour. All that's missing is the ability to overload oneself and suffer in-game penalties from carrying too much. That would be nice for us immersives who like work. (yes, we really do).
  10. Some people, including myself, play CRPGs to be immersed in an alternate reality fantasy setting. Having immediate access to 50 suits of armour, somehow feels wrong. I can see both sides of the argument, which is why I think an optional setting should be available. I see there is a 'don't restrict stash' option. What does that do? Is this what I'm looking for !?
  11. In my opinion there is exactly the right amount of voice acting in this game. Although I currently miss some of the hilarious lines from e.g. BG1, I haven't met most of the companions yet....
  12. Post got 0 views so don't know if it got seen - anyone have any info on why it (the character movement) was done like this and whether there are plans to improve?
  13. Encumbrance needs to be in, but with an option to switch it off so it plays as now
  14. I love this game, I've given it 10 on metacritic to silence the haters, so don't lynch me, BUT but I (semi-)HATE that the characters all run in exact unison. In fact I (semi-)hate that they run by default, full stop! This breaks my immersion. Wah, wah. One of the reasons I went off D:OS was because it felt totally 'unreal' especially mid-game onwards. Yes, maybe I am looking for 'Fantasy Simulator 2015' but still, some individuality in the character movement would be extremely nice to see, if that is ever possible... ALSO - I'm not playing Trial of Iron but I'm still giving up each time I die. I can't bring myself to carry on if I die. Arghh! Think I'll just stick to Hard/Trial of Iron from now on, and get my money's worth!
