I think it sucks. My parents just bought a new computer and I was at their house helping them set it up. That security prompt comes up any time any type of change happens on the machine. Any time you install new software it prompts you to accept or deny. This computer came bundle in a package with a printer. Problem is the software for it is for Win98SE, 2000, ME and XP and not Vista. It would not install because Vista would not allow it so I had to go and use the default printer setting that came with Vista. There were some start up programs my mom wanted me to remove, she considered them annoying, but there is no Run feature to get you to MSCONFIG.
XP works just fine by me.
