  1. The Fiery Furnaces - Quay Cur There's just too much in their album Blueberry Boat, I think.
  2. Animal Collective - Grass So weird! So wonderful!
  3. Illustrator is no good? I suppose I must recommend Paint then. I don't know if Corel Draw is still available, but that used to be pretty good? I could recommend Aura/Mirage/TVPaint (different versions of the same program) but... I'm not going to, because that program is complete ****.
  4. Beck - Discobox I dig ****ed up production.
  5. I used to be a big fan of Guinness but I have poor self-control which has led to many a morning where I woke up in places (sometimes with people) I didn't recognize so I have given up on drinking. I do miss the Guinness though.
  6. Weezer - In The Garage *sigh* poor weezer, what have thou become since those wonderful bespectacled days of glorified nerdery?
  7. Well, making good games is, anyway.
  8. No Country For Old Men - 7/10 I would give it a higer score than that, but the ending really annoyed me. I felt like the Coen Brothers left me hanging with no good resolution. I mean, I like open to interpretation as much as the next pretentious critic-wannabe does, but this one, I just felt it went too far with it. I mean, the tension was building up great, and bang, suddenly the guy who seemed to me to be pretty much the main character is dead? From that point the movie just seemed to fall apart for me, following that up with a whole crapload of even more infuriatingly open-ended scenes. Aliens vs. Predator 2: Requiem - 6/10 I know this score is actually much too high, because honestly, it really isn't a good movie. Bland, uninteresting characters, almost no discernable plot to speak of and a desperate need for a bigger budget so they could afford a freaking spotlight. This is basically a high budget, sci-fi slasher flick. But you know what? The trailer had me expecting that anyway. What I didn't expect was that there would be a lot of these really cool touches and scenes peppered throughout. So really, I got a better movie than I expected.
  9. Hm, you guys seemed to make a big deal out of making signatures, so I had to start up photoshop to see how hard it is. Up until now I had only used Photoshop for things like colour correction. Well, for my first signature ever: , made in less than 5 minutes. Comparing this with yours, I have to say if you think sig-making is an actual SKILL, you REALLY need to up your standards.
  10. MC Honky "I've got three turntables and two microphones." E, you crack me up.
  11. If all else fails, you could always learn action-scripting and make a flash game.
  12. *coughFablecough*
  13. While I agree with your point, I personally think Legolas is the worst example because he's still a blank sheet, just one who does tricks.
  14. I think the point you are trying to make is, "the very idea is sick no matter the situation".
  15. That's sick. What's next? "Sonny boy, you go in there and push that button or you won't get any dinner tonight!"
  16. I don't think electronic voting means you don't have to show up, does it? I think we're talking voting machines at polling offices here (correct me if I'm wrong). So that concern stands whether or not it's paper or electronic.
  17. Eels - Useless Trinkets
  18. Like Twelve Monkeys?
  19. No they're not. They look like the ice-cream themed ghosts from some old Scooby Doo episode that I saw as a kid.
  20. The Terminator's paradox hurts my head. I mean, John Connor sends his own dad into the past to become his dad, right? But... his dad only becomes his dad because he sent him back into time. So... if you go back to the original timeline, eventually there will be no John Connor, because he wasn't there to send his dad back in time to become his dad and get born. Ow. Also, why doesn't Skynet just send some terminator to kill John Connor's great great granpappy or something?
  21. It was basically the same movie... again.
  22. Strong rumours since about half a year ago that Deadpool will be going solo once more. Personally, I'd enjoy another Gail Simone run of the character. Her runs in Deadpool and Agent X were the best (especially Agent X, because no one after her wrote a decent Agent X story). EDIT: http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazine/wizard/007103801.cfm New Deadpool coming. Shipping to comic shops next week, “The Deep End” is a five-part story pulling Deadpool and Wolverine into a head-on brawl, and after that story wraps, Way and artist Steve Dillon will continue the adventures of Wade Wilson in a Deadpool ongoing series debuting later this summer.
  23. Now you just gotta get your police sidekick to arrest the guy, Matlock!
  24. So far it seems like sleeping pills killed him. The funny thing is I read in an interview that playing the Joker was hard on him and required him to take sleeping pills to sleep. So, I guess, in a way, Batman killed him.
  25. Haha, so true. I always skip the first hour. See, I only read book five after I saw the movie, and honestly, I thought the movie captured the important things in the book quite well, even if a lot of things were switched around and left out (I'd wager to say that, if I were to make this movie, I would do it roughly the same way). And some of it was done much better in the movie. Personally, I think the only movie that so far wasn't better than the book was Goblet of Fire. I don't really like J.K. Rowling's writing style too much, though. If it reads like filler, is structured like filler and pays off like filler, it must be filler.
