  1. Whoo fertility festival. :D
  2. The lyrics are not as angry and aggressive as they seem. Quite often they're just bad poetry. Kamelot - Karma
  3. First, I have to take a 45 minute train ride, then a 15 minute bus-ride. Getting up at 6 am. So yeah, biking that to and fro every day is not something I'd dig. Our busses are darned clean though. The schedules are just ****ed up.
  4. Hah. I wish I had that luxury but I have to get to school and I cannot afford to travel there any other way (dutch college students can get a special student card that allows free travel on busses and trains).
  5. What really grinds my gears is that whenever I'm waiting for a bus, they generally keep me waiting for something like 20-30 minutes, then when the first one arrives, there's always two or three others right behind it going the same way.
  6. Within Temptation - Dark Wings I like their older stuff better than their newer. They're still good, but every album I worry more that they are going to go on sounding more like Evanescence.
  7. I watched The Mist. 9/10 I was pretty angry at this film for it's ending for at least a couple of hours, then I realized how strong the ending was because it gave me the strongest emotional reaction to a film that I've ever had (and it was for content, not quality). I don't know if I could do that to a character that I had been with throughout writing the story. Not a 10/10 because I thought there was some untapped potential, but still an EXCELLENT flick. And I say that word with "Bill and Ted" type enthusiasm.
  8. Pooha. A good joke is a good joke, and a bad joke is a bad joke.
  9. Pavement - Crooked Rain Crooked Rain (album) I don't really see what the big deal is. Pavement sounds to me a bit like Weezer for indie people. I guess it's good, but it's not as exceptional as I was told.
  10. R.E.M. - Let Me In Sounds like post-grunge by way of R.E.M....
  11. A tracklist consisting of Alice in Chains' Dirt album and Jar Of Flies EP randomized into what would have been a pretty cool deluxe-sized album (or double album, maybe?)
  12. Eels Electro Shock Blues Show. Probably one of the best shows ever recorded. I wish I could've been there.
  13. It's because those games had to rely on style and gameplay. A lot of modern games are basically good graphics only.
  14. Or Pooky. Or the scale that Garfield ways himself with.
  15. There is no such thing as the Gameboy DS. You have the Nintendo Gameboy and the Nintendo DS. Nintendo has made it clear time and again that these are two seperate product lines (making the descision of Gameboy Advance games being playable on the Nintendo DS a bit bizarre). Oddly enough, I do not consider myself a Nintendo fanboy, yet I voted for three Nintendo consoles. The NES (that thing has taken up more hours of my life than just about anything else), the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo Wii (because I enjoy new ways to play games).
  16. Some horrible pop-punk band I heard a while ago on the radio sang "When did Motley Crue become classic rock?" Wilco - Summer Teeth
  17. http://garfieldminusgarfield.tumblr.com/ Is the best comic ever. Case in point:
  18. This is true, but often we only get the American coverage in broad lines. The media never really go in depth (occasionally a newspaper will, but not often), so often Europeans that do not regularely traverse the internet for additional coverage will really only have some idea of what's going on. Which is kind of sad, I think.
  19. Useful post, then, Walsingham. Something I'm noticing about the current US Presidential Elections is that nearly all the media attention right now is Hillary vs. Obama. It's like nobody even cares who the Republicans put forth. I'm not even sure who won the Republican preliminaries (it was McCain right?).
  20. In their defense, Bush did win the election meaning that a small majority DID vote for him, and it's easy to view a country as their majority. However, NOT in their defense, I have to say most of these people are idiots (I should know, I used to be one of them). I know people who blame America for everything. Some guy I know is constantly fronting a theory that states Americans created the AIDS virus in the 1950's.
  21. Architecture In Helsinki - Debbie I like this band. They're funny. They sound like if a former Elvis cover band consisting out of Muppets decided to start writing their own songs instead.
  22. You know... honestly, I would rather look at that picture than the half naked man in your avatar. I mean, no offense but I consider males to be pretty ugly by default (says a lot about my self-confidence).
