Where will #3 take place?Darth_Schmarth replied to Jarlaxle 56's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion I think K3 will take place in a sleazy Coruscant cantina, where you can walk around and play mini-games. Once you've won 10000 credits on pazaak, Niklos from Taris will walk in and be the end boss. If you beat him in a game of pazaak (Republic rules), he dies and reveals with his dying words that you are in fact Darth Malak. Upon this horrifying realisation you decide to go and look for Revan and the Exile in what is a nice set-up for "Knights of the Old Republic IV: A New Dope".

If Revan were to be the PC he should have been so already in KotOR2. I say give us a new shot at actually being a normal Jedi (or Sith!).

KotOR 1 with Sith Lords goodies???Darth_Schmarth replied to Arnkell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion Now that is one of the GREAT mods out there. A shame I'm not really into BG anymore, since that mod makes the BG1 part of the saga so much more replayable.

Which brings me to one of the worst examples: Revan in the cave on Korriban in KotOR2! Why on the face of God's Great Earth does he suddenly wield dual sabers?

Start as LS and fall to the DSDarth_Schmarth replied to Cassidy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion I did on my first playthrough of K1. The cool thing was that it wasn't even intentional from the start. I started off as a reward-hungry scoundrel who got his act together when taught by the Jedi. But when he found out that he was Revan, lost Bastila and wound up at Korriban, things went all wrong and he went darker than night... That was memorable!

I missed the good old KotOR planet-hopping cutscenes. It felt so empty each time you went to a new planet and no meanwhile-on-the-bridge-of-an-evil-Sith-ship cutscene appeared.

Damn... I thought it had some real potential. Would've bought a PS3 just for that game.

	You sharp! Obsidian clumsy. "

Bugged - Team Combat ModesDarth_Schmarth replied to Sinbreaker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion What I hate about combat is that it doesn't really matter what you tell your friends to do, since they'll start doing whatever they want past the first round of combat anyway, it seems... I hate that you can't switch scripts off a la BG, since it really screws up your tactics often enough.

I thought they were making Pacman Dreams? Is that out already?

Kotor 3: Ideas and SuggestionsDarth_Schmarth replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion This is my main gripe with this system. Another problem is that if you bring e.g. both Atton and Handmaiden to a situation where you'd normally gain influence with them, you won't gain with any of them. What's that all about?

Across the Stars Character AssociationsDarth_Schmarth replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion Well, that's close enough... :D

Which wasn't exactly obvious, what with its moderate connection to the original topic and all. You will pardon my misinterpretation. <_<

KotOR 1 with Sith Lords goodies???Darth_Schmarth replied to Arnkell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion I asked a similar question the other day and somebody indeed said something about LA going through the roof on stuff like that. A shame.

Across the Stars Character AssociationsDarth_Schmarth replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion I definitely associate to Anakin and Padm

You seem to know what you're talking about... Heard of a little thing called sarcasm? It's a form of joking. I like this game, unlike you it would appear, but I don't see any harm in joking about obvious or less obvious shortcomings. You will pardon my dry response. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Had nothing to do with you or your post. So obviously your feeling guilty about something. Had it been a response to you, well it would have your previous post quoted in it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Since your post wasn't directed at anyone or anything in particular, I assumed it was a response to the last post preceeding it. Considering... other posts in the past, my assumption was reinforced to certainty. You will again pardon my dry response. <_<

destabilize republic by going against GOTO?Darth_Schmarth replied to darth plumpie's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion As if being smarter than the Exile would count as a respectable merit...

Two first shops that give color crystals?Darth_Schmarth replied to Arnkell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion Every time I've played the Telos bro has had a crystal with the colour of my chosen class. When I was a Guardian he had a blue crystal etc.

There is a console on the wall in the same room as the actual proton missile.

I think it's the lazy writers trying to capture the essence of Jedi vagueness with dire consequences.
-
I don't like that it's so easy to learn two-weapon fighting. It's just as easy as dueling, which makes no sense whatsoever. In the six movies we see one double-bladed saber, and that was wielded by a freakin' stunt man. Then for some reason that I have yet to figure out (fanboi appeasement on Georgie's behalf?), Anakin (and apparently Obi-Wan) believes that he'll have a bigger chance of beating Dooku with two sabers (which ultimately proves false). So why this dual saber and saber staff fetish? It was even worse in Jedi Academy and ruined half of that game.
-
Yep. And take a vague Jedi explanation and make it even vaguer and you have a Kreia explanation.
-
So uh, why was KOTOR2 rushed?Darth_Schmarth replied to -Zin-'s topic in Star Wars: General Discussion I also think they're slightly more complacent towards bug-testing for PC (not saying they'd ever admit to such a statement), since that can be amended much easier afterwards (not that they do it).
