Uh, have you even READ any of the post-ROTJ books? This Luke in LOTF, the same Luke that can create artificial black holes(Black Fleet Crisis) and Force Storms(Dark Empire.), the same Luke that hide his Force presence instantly(Fallanassi ability, Dark Fleet Crisis.). Revan isn't anywhere NEAR Luke, hell DE Luke could take on Yoda and win, the same Yoda who was the most powerful Jedi in History(Until Luke, and the source for this is the Power of the Jedi Sourcebook.). The Sith are a species, though however Obsidian overpowers them, they aren't anything comparable to Palpatine. Ragnos: Only got a few planets under his reign. Sidious: An entire galaxy. Which is better? Sidious showed us what a Sith is really like, an evil being who manipulates people to further his goals. He didn't even have to wage war, he let others do it for him, and then took advantage of it. He also learned the way to, somewhat, immortal life(Switching bodies when dying and overshadowing the spirit within the live body.). Haven't seen any of the Ancient Sith do that.

Luke. He showed us that even a simple farmboy can become something great if he puts his mind and heart into it. That and his current form aswell as DE form would beat Revan.

Revan had a chance to,but he definately wasn't as cunning as Palpatine.Palpatine planned and manipulated everything during the PT,instead of just destorying the Republic army,he turned it to his cause,I'd say that's better than what Revan was originally planning.
