  1. I hate when I can't decide which game from my back log to play. I have to be "feeling it" to play a game I bought months/year ago, and the ones I have aren't hitting the spot right now.
  2. Please tell me Anthem is just a working title. That's not actually the official name of the game, is it?
  3. I actually just started a replay of Rise of the Tomb Raider. Not sure what drove that mood. Which one is the first one in the reboot series? I played the first one, but the second one is sitting on my shelf unplayed. That's the one I'm probably going to get around to.
  4. Gave up on my second play through of Prey. I was getting annoyed trying to find the various staff members missing throughout the complex. That was pretty much the only thing I didn't do the first time, so there's no other point to playing more. Now I gotta figure out what I want to play from my backlog. Tomb Raider or Batman?
  5. The fact it's going to have a single-player campaign is the only reason I'm interested.
  6. I enjoyed Watch Dogs, but for whatever reason I still haven't had the urge to pick up Watch Dogs 2. I think a lot of times it comes down to games that I think I'll play multiple times. The ones that I can envision replaying a few times, I put at the top of my list of games to buy. The ones that I think I might enjoy, but that I'll only play one time through, I tend to put on the back burner. Watch Dogs 2 falls into the latter category.
  7. Well, that trailer tells me nothing except that there appears to be powered armor and there's a wall. Unclear whether the wall was commissioned by Trump and built by Mexicans or not. These trailers are less than informative. But I guess it's better than BioWare showing a bunch of cool features that they'll end up cutting in the final product.
  8. It's too bad MEA did so poorly (compared to what they were aiming for) and resulted in EA basically shelving the franchise. If they'd learned from their mistakes this time around, MEA2 could have been back at the level of the previous ME games. The "bare bones" were there in MEA. It just was so watered down and lacked polish.
  9. Trying to re-play Prey. I find it difficult to do a second play through when the quests/stories don't really diverge all that much.
  10. That was my default strategy for every encounter. Big crowds of enemies? FORCE STORM! FORCE STORM! errr.... stupid thing recharging and I'm losing health .... FORCE STORM!
  11. There was a poster who used to always write "Obistan" or something similar. I wonder if the OP went to the same school as him.
  12. For clarification, I don't necessarily care about the achievements. I was mainly just noting that, strangely, I didn't get one for completing Prey since every other video game I've played on the PS4 gives you an achievement for completing the main story. It was more of a "Hmm, that's weird ... wonder if the achievement is glitched" rather than a "OMG WTF!? WHERE IS MY TROPHY!?" type reaction.
  13. I found KOTOR's combat clunky, but that's more due to me not taking the time to actually pay attention to the various attacks/abilities. I'd just spam the same thing over and over and hope my enemy died before I did.
  14. Prey's ending is going to be divisive, no question about that - nonetheless, it makes perfect narrative sense and has been alluded to repeatedly throughout the game. Including the game hammering in the information of why is it a big deal and what makes your individual actions worthwhile. I don't really want to say a lot more, but all in all, it's difficult for me to imagine a more elegant way of completely tying the story up (seriously, if Bethesda pushes for a sequel continuing the same storyline, meaning of the ending would be lost entirely) No, I just meant I didn't get rewarded with any sort of trophy or achievement for completing the game, like you do in every other game.
  15. What, did you jump in the escape pod and leave everyone behind? No. I chose the save everyone in a shuttle approach. And from what I've seen, I saved everyone I could save and still didn't get recognition for it.
  16. Well, MEA's story was pretty poor and relied on the "open world" feel to carry it. So I guess if that's the game they're trying to compete with, Bethesda will have them beat (sandbox is something Bethesda does much better than BioWare). If this is Bethesda's attempt to match the original ME trilogy that was built more on story and characters (to whatever degree you believe they achieved this), then good luck. Bethesda's never been great at building a good story or depth in their companions.
  17. The ending of Prey I got/choose was so ... anticlimactic. I didn't even get a trophy for finishing the game!
  18. I think that's the problem. I thought DAI was disappointing because of its attempt to have both open world AND story driven, but both ended up falling short. And I think MEA is simply a very watered down version of DAI. So if DAI was a, say, 7 out of 10 for me, that would put its watered down version (MEA) as a 4 or 5 out of 10.
  19. Now that I've had time to digest my experience with ME:A, the best thing I can think of to describe how it felt to me was "watered down". Everything -- from the quests, to the story, to the characters -- seemed like watered down versions of what we got in the previous ME games. At least that's how I feel about the game and why I've had a hell of a time playing through a second time (I'm usually good for at least two play throughs of these RPGs).
  20. What was the setting for the last Far Cry game? I can't remember if I played it or not and I don't have my games in front of me to check.
  21. Yeah, the KOTOR series got me back into RPGs. Too bad Bio decided to go the way of MMO for the series instead of doing KOTOR 3.
  22. Hope so, but I wouldn't count on it. Such a gem of a game.
  23. Just for my curiosity, how are you playing the game? Cause I never had an issue finding bullets, but I played using bullets sparingly and went for the Alien upgrades. I try to sneak when I can, but I find myself shooting at a lot of things because I suck at sneaking. I haven't used the alien upgrades because I wasn't sure how turrets would react to me. They're basically my life saver on maps where I need a bit of covering fire.
  24. Have you noticed the minor flaw in the fabricator? If you have stack of fabricator produced blocks and put a stack back into the recycler, then split the block a bunch of times.. it'll recycle producing more blocks then you put in. I have not noticed that. I have noticed that I seem to have a million of those exotic boxes (which should be rare), while never having enough of the ... whichever ones help create bullets. The grey ones.
  25. More Prey. Of course I'm low on ammunition when I need it most. And of course I don't have any materials to turn them into bullets at a Fabricator booth, either. Good thing I've stockpiled a bunch of EMP grenades or I'd be dead.
