  1. Obsidian hasn't announced that's what they are working on (it's just rumored) so they will not mention specifics about KOTOR2 until it's officially announced.
  2. I came here to hear what Fergie and the rest have to say and because Interplay's forums are pretty much a graveyard these days. A large portion that entire fan community was just about Black Isle.
  3. What about the ability to delete your own posts? There doesn't seem to be a way that I have found so far. If someone hasn't responded yet you should be able to delete your post if you so desire.
  4. Fokker (from Meet the Parents with Ben Stiller)
  5. I would say it would be up to Obsidian's publisher rather than they themselves. God knows TOEE should have had a beta test. And now they are doing a beta best, for their patches.
  6. I'd agree. No multiplayer. We don't need another NWN OC. I only have an XBox so I wouldn't be able to try out Lunar.
  7. http://www.edbis.com Read the reviews written by Hades One. Hades One = Visceris
  8. I couldn't connect to the site until well into Saturday afternoon so my number is comparatively high although my first post was Sunday.
  9. The shooter mini game just seemed contrived and didn't fit the rest of the game very well. You go from using D20 stats and rules, as in the rest of the game, to using the player's reaction time. You also can't save the game while you are forced there so if you die at that point you may lose alot. They should have at least saved a specific autosave point before that began.
  10. It would have been nice if you could have kept on playing the game after winning. Like you can in Morrowind for instance.
  11. The actual links would be http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums http://forums.interplay.com And suck they do.
  12. If you become a game programmer, you should have a degree like CS or EE beneath you or at least enough programming expereince. Focus on graphics and similar courses in university. Maybe try to get familiar with DirectX, C++, etc.
  13. QA's necessary. Otherwise, game won't sell for long. TOEE did have three weeks of nothing but testing (which isn't long enough) so it still had QA. I'm sure they tested before then but that was when they became feature complete. They wanted another month but Atari said no.
  14. Maybe they don't need be. What's the storage space on a DVD? At least 4.8 GBs and probably more? How big do you really want your games to be. At any rate, on the XBox once you take the DVD out of the drive the game ends so all XBox games need to fix on one DVD. 3D games also need less space and discs than 2D games as well. Compare Fallout Tactics against Deus Ex 1 for instance. 3 CDs versus 1 CD.
  15. So am I. On MobyGames (http://www.mobygames.com/game/credits/p,3/gameId,8635) shows. BIS employees are credited here: Special Design and Testing Thanks Chris Avellone, Damien Foletto, J.E. Sawyer And here: Contributing Designers Aaron Brown, Chad Nicholas, Jason G. Suinn That's interesting that you and SP are credited.
  16. Knowing Interplay, they would do a Fallout 3 on the consoles and change everything about it. Sort of like Ultima X has no relationship at all to the previous games in the series and is a slap in the face to the loyal fan of the single player series.
  17. And if it's real time, I was an auto pause functionality so that I can at least simulate turn based even though it never really would be. The tactical options, as an example, of being able to delay your actions or ready an action when something happens (like a spell being cast) just don''t exist in RT or aren't done well. Will be picking up Silent Storm most likely though.
  18. At what point were Baldur's Gate or Lionheart co-developed by Black Isle Studios? Your claim is about as baseless as saying that Black Isle Studios had a hand in developing FOBOS. Period. Damien Foletto, J.E. Sawyer and Chris Avellone are all credited as Designers assisting with Lionheart. My guess is that they provided some technical assistance like the implementation of SPECIAL. BIS was also of course the publisher which means that in addition to what Visceris said they also managed getting the voice overs, music, testing and other aspects. I think Feargus had a post over at Interplay's forums awhile back at what the breakdown is between developer and publisher. Not to slight that BioWare did most of the work, the publisher is very involved as well. It'd be more baseless to say that Black Isle had a hand in developing FOBOS because Black Isle wasn't even remotely involved, development or producing, with that one. They claimed that they contacted BIS when they were developing the game but several former people from BIS said they had no hand in the game and weren't contacted (it was most likely just management).
  19. I would prefer no prestige classes. They are a bad idea and many are unbalanced. I think the Jedi Sentinel in KOTOR1 though was a modified version of the Jedi Investigator prestige class.
  20. Hopefully, Feargus does comment on what happened at Black Isle shortly before he left. But Jefferson being cancelled was because Interplay didn't want to pay for the license fees. Of course that didn't stop them from buying Exalted license so that can make bad console games a few weeks later.
