I'm enjoying it. But... I've tried to play about a dozen times tonight, and I have to say that the system needs work. Random D/C's, falling through the map, waiting 10 minutes for anyone one else to join in a public game.

I'm enjoying multiplayer but the connection issues make leveling unpleasant.

I wish mine were a book reading generation.

Doing Jacob's loyalty mission. In a setting where black characters are rare and sexual assault is rare, I do wish they had done something other than make Jacob's father a mass rapist. I like it a lot too, unfortunately Samara's recruitment is one of my least favourite ones (I'm not sure why, I think I always do it at the stage where the core recruitment/loyalty treadmill starts getting a bit stale), which tends to ruin the whole thing for me. Yeah, the middle of the game is slow going. I like try to mix up missions I like with missions I'm not that fond of. Plus, I have all the DLC (I think) which means I can do Liar of the Shadow Broker, Firewalker, or Overlord if I want a break from the loyalty missions. I head to Illium as so as it's available, so Samara comes early for me.

ME 2. Just finished Samara's loyalty mission. No combat, but lots of pathos. You seduce a woman, her mother rushes in to kill her, and when she's dead admits that she was the smartest and bravest of her daughters, but it doesn't feel hamfisted or cheap. When I think about all the ways this could have gone wrong, I'm impressed.

I'd bet money on you having to download it.

I ordered the Collector's Edition (and Best Buy already charged me for it, which actually makes me more worried about not getting it) so I hope he's still included. Edit: It's still included. On the bottom left.

I haven't played either of those games. Okay guys, this might be a spoiler or it might be a fake, but this is supposedly a .

I still love you BioWare, but... The intro to ME3 is a six sentence long scroll. Yes, they should have said 'advanced organic civilizations,' they've already established that the Reapers don't go after all organic life.
-
Organic civilization isn't a specific group of species but any advanced organic life forms. In the time of the Protheans, they were organic civilization. In the time of the games, humanity, asari, turian, korgan, and such are organic civilization. If Shepard failed and the Reapers win, there are likely other organisms living at a pre-industrial level that will become space faring and discover the Citadel in the next 50,000 years. To use a metaphor, imagine an alien race comes to earth and wipes out all existing civilization, sending humanity back to the stone age but somehow leaving all the natural resource intact. When I say 'human civilization will rebuild itself' I'm not saying that China, Russia, and India will reappear, I'm saying that some form of civilization will arise over time.

They don't harvest non-advanced organic life. Ape chilling on the savanna? Ignored. Heck, humans in 1940 were probably not advanced enough to get harvested.

I love how no one wants numbers until they see a claim they dislike. But they don't just want numbers, because numbers are meaningless, they want it 'backed-up.' CDC: Half of Americans will suffer from mental health woes. Mental Disorders in the USA Nearly 20% of Americans Experiences Mental Illness in 2009 Epidemiology of Mental Illness Mental Illnesses: Facts and Numbers WebMD. Are there countries that were left out of the WHO report? Yes. But mental illness is high in the USA (unless the CDC, NIHM, and WHO are all talking out their butt) and there's no evidence that it's higher in other countries. 'Maybe it's higher in Uganda' isn't much of an argument. Can YOU provide evidence that other countries have higher rates of mental illness? Okay, but what about countries that provide free, or inexpensive, health services? Using your logic, they'd have the highest rate of reported mentally ill people. -
I didn't play it until 2001.

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition from Best Buy to be shipped to my house. As it's Best Buy, there's a one in four chance they send me the regular edition and a one in six chance they send me the regular edition while charging me for the collector's edition.

I think it suffered from being in development for too long. How many of those more entertaining dungeon crawlers were made previous to Diablo 2? If I had to cast my mind back to those heady days of 2001, I'd say that several of the things I liked about Diablo 2 were visual. The horror aesthetic and then the desert and jungle levels looked novel to me. I also liked the random levels, monsters, and loot. I could play with my friends via hooking up our computers, which was something I'd only done in FPS previously

I looked at the IMDB for Mass Effect 3. Almost every character that you'd expect to show up, does show up. Here is a minor spoiler:

I've avoided as much news as I could for ME 3, but couldn't resist trying the demo. Kinda wish I'd held off as it wasn't that impressive. I'm sure that the actual game will be better though. #WTFAndersonsRun

Mass Effect 2. I'm not fond of Thane, but his recruitment mission is very well done.

How can a game that looks that far behind have working cloaks while BioWare still can't manage it?
