  1. It will be restored-it has yet to be assigned to anyone however since we're all working on other stuff at the moment.
  2. It's for both male and female. Part of the original plan; it's mentioned on the wip page. Please note that the casting call now has a deadline.
  3. No she has not-we originally considered her but she's done VO work before on some BG mods and decided she would avoid it if possible in the future so...here we are.
  4. In a lot of cases they seem to have modelled the characters (in K2 anyway) after their VO actor/actress. Witness Mira's voice actress Emily Berry: and Mira:
  5. None yet; don't know how long it'll take to get a decent number of submissions.
  6. She's not in the game-she was found going through dialog.tlk by a few members of this board back in April and then, separately, by us about a month ago. She was to have been the introduction to the Holocron quests. Obviously without the Holocron quests there was no reason to record her.
  7. Actress Audition for Kaevee the Padawan/Thief ----------------------------------------------------------- We're looking for someone to voice Kaevee who, according to Gameplay Programmer notes, "...is a tormenting 17 year old that is seriously messed up...". There are 48 total lines to be voiced. For the audition we'd like 5 sample lines: 94074 - My laigreks{LAY-grex}, you've killed them. They're my pets...{She's mourning their loss and the PC has a chance to interject} 94082 - {Very proud here}I am a padawan. And one day... one day I will learn enough to be a Jedi. 94085 - But what should I do? {She sounds miserably lost}I just don't know what I should do. 94098 - {The first line she is searching her memory for something important}I remember now... "Respect all life, in any form." {She sounds slightly horrified}What... What have I done? I'm trying to be a Jedi, but it's so hard with everyone dead. 94112 - {Way too intense and on edge during this - she's built a crazy morale framework to justify her actions}I am not a thief! People give to the Jedi in exchange for service. They were just giving. Comments are enclosed in { }. Don't read the number preceding the line (see below for more details). Requirements: - Obviously the first requirement here is that you be female - Secondly, we ask that you submit good quality audio samples (this is sort of a vague requirement-basically if it sounds iffy to us we'll ask you to try rerecording at a higher quality) in wav format (playable by either Sound Recorder or Miles Audio Player) - Third, the lines should be in individual files with the name corresponding to the numbers that we've listed. So for example the file 94074.wav would contain "My laigreks...". In addition we ask you to archive the files (zip, 7z, or rar) and in your email mention the board you're from ("Obsidian", "Gizka", "Holowan" or "KFM" (Kotor Fan Media)) and your nickname on the board. Please do not submit from 2 separate boards-one submission is enough. If you're not registered at the boards we encourage you to do so . If you still don't feel comfortable with it just make sure we can get in touch with you easily through your email address. - Fourth, if you post a link to your file on any of the boards we will ignore it. It must be emailed to us at tslrp[ a-t ]team-gizka[d-o-t]org - Fifth and finally, you should be able to take coaching - by which we mean re-recording lines if we ask - and not get worked up over it The permanent job posting (ie one that won't get lost in posts) may be found here Deadline August 1
  8. JD had the same problem and did some testing on that; seems to happen in Firefox far more frequently than in other browsers. So if you're using Firefox, try it in IE (as painful as that may be ). Other than that just try downloading it (right click->save as).
  9. In 203TEL we have one file that changed (making getting to 100% fairly easy ). We just modified bountyhunter.dlg to include some GenoHaradan stuff.
  10. So we have a really nifty upgrade to our WIP page This should give everybody a slightly better handle on what we've done and not done.
  11. We've sorta touched on the romances before here but not as whole: there's really nothing to restore for any of the romances. Again, when cuts are made, the first thing to go is non-plot-essential stuff, which means romances.
  12. The new site is slowly being propogated. Works for me at the moment; should be visible to all within 48-72 hours. Update your bookmarks
  13. Depends; some stuff is straightforward which is usually the result of lots of stuff to work with and having it laid out fairly well in the GameplayProgrammer notes and existing objects in level (triggers and the like). Other things are "hack'n'slash" jobs, where we can't restore it exactly how it was intended to be because we'd have to add stuff which we don't have, or we'd mess something up.
  14. No snag; progress on the mod isn't a constant. There are some weeks where real life intervenes far more often than we'd like. We haven't really talked about release yet. pcgamemods.com is a definite candidate but we're undecided at the moment. We'll probably start figuring that out around beta time. There's no real progress report schedule; whenever we have progress worth reporting, we report it.
  15. We hope so. Getting this stuff set up isn't our forte. While the short name main site may not work we've got it on our new host here
  16. Um, not quite sure what you're asking; If you're asking if any characters mention the droid planet in the factory, then no.
  17. Almost there...site should be up sometime this week.
  18. Why in the world would anyone create such a nefarious plugin? Talk about wasting a site's bandwidth...get enough people using that on one site and I have no doubt you could bring a site down.
  19. After the PC version comes out we'll look into an XBox version if it seems viable.
  20. They do. However we all agreed going in that we felt uncomfortable mixing VO'd and non-VO'd lines, and decided to only restore the content that was or could be VO'd. In addition this helps us meet our deadline of releasing the mod "before we're dead."
  21. We try to stick to these requirements: 1) If the character(s) involved have a known voice (ie were voiced at any point during K1 or K2) and do not have full VO for the cut content then the content WILL NOT be restored. 2) If areas described or required within the cut content are not present then the content WILL NOT be restored. 3) If the cut content is deemed to be too incomplete or unreconcilable with the current and/or restored plot then the content WILL NOT be restored. 4) If dialogue can be edited to be (or already is) reconcilable with the current and/or restored plot then the content WILL likely be added. 5) All cut content associated with M4-78 WILL NOT be restored. EDIT: Examples: 1) Dustil - Had some content cut on Korriban but since there's no VO, he won't be restored. Not to mention the fact that you'd be forced to kill him and Carth wouldn't have anything to say about it 2) Yima - Bay Control officer on Telos had a quest where you would weed out a corrupt TSF member dipping his hands in the Czerka cookie jar. Unfortunately it requires a second set of bays. Which don't exist. 3) See #5 4) A conversation on a planet to be named later, which JD found, and might even voice 5) ...'Nuff said
