TSL Restoration Project: The Phantom Deadline
Dashus replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
We won't be. We'll probably give about 3-6 months of bug fixing time beyond release and then call it quits. Nope. It just means we don't go onto 0.8b1 until the major is fixed. Though given we still have minor bugs left we wouldn't be going on to 0.8b1 this build anyway. -

As we've stated before, no. -

The problem has never been the speed at which our beta testers work. That's indicated by the fact that we've never had to get any additional testers on board. It's simply a matter of us finding time to work on it. -

It's not so much a break as it is an uninvited stoppage (read: schoolwork). I believe we have already answered this question in one form or another at least a dozen times: We will not be compatible with most mods. Presume that we will be incompatible with every mod until other modders have a chance to verify that they are compatible with us. -

Yeah it was neither of the above. I suspect it was "Holy crap our bandwidth is getting hammered. Pull it!" Last time we use filefactory. It'll be up on YouTube soon. -

An hour. If you break to eat to lunch ) Not quite sure what you mean. The game will still be moddable. But many mods will not be compatible with ours simply because of the shear number of files we've changed (ie it will cause either theirs, ours, or both to break). No. -

Because we're also fixing them. That count is just the overall number in the system. Hard to say. A quick perusal through http://mantis.team-gizka.org and I'm inclined to say probably over 500. At least. At least 400 of the original game scripts have been modified, though very few of what could be considered 'core' scripts have been modified (a couple include files, which means people should just reimplement any changes they've made to the includes on top of ours.) If by 'files' you mean things like dll's and the exe, then 0. We're fairly certain that would be a violation of the EULA. You have no idea Nope. Somehow managing to embed a virus in script would be quite an impressive achievment from a technical standpoint. There is a .00000(etc.)1% chance of anyone being able to get a virus in any sense of the word to work in nwscript. So no we don't. As for the installer I'm the only one who deals with it. And I had no plans on inserting a virus As we've said all along this will probably break a lot of mods. See above for the answer the 'core' scripts question. Source code = source code of scripts. Should have been more clear there. -

Did I miss Obscure Smiley Week? Again? In other news our developers section is now up at the main site. Not much there at the moment but source code will be up there before the release (and before you ask, no, you will not be able to play the mod by just compiling the source code. I can pretty much guarantee that attempting to do so will break your game horribly.) -

I can't speak for anyone else in the group but I will be moving on to NWN2 (no, there will not be a "NWN2RP" from us ) minus any updates to TSLRP that need to be done. -

We've got over 200 known issues in the tracker and are fixing them at the rate of 1-3 per day. Time is pretty much a given The real use in having custom animations available is that we're able to fix a couple bugs and implement some cut content, most notably the hanharr-mira "arm through the throat" scene on Mal V which will also now hopefully involve a wall slam as per GP notes. We're not adding any custom scenes. -

Honestly I am willing to go on record as saying "Good luck finding bugs." Because our beta testers have been just about as thorough as we could hope for. -

Staring at that now I realize that my meaning was not at all clarified. So one more try: "Either Visas or the Handmaiden can win." We have no plans for a sepeku-like thing where they off each other. -

I believe it's the other set of docking bays. I believe it's module 210. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The other docking bays were completely cut; there's no trace of them and as such we're not going to do anything with respect to them. Team Gizka and its finest. Always teasing people and never producing anything. I went to the threads and couldn't find it. When you guys feel like actually sharing let us know and we'll start caring. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you not read the post like, 2 posts down from that one? http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...c=38600&st=465# And on top of that, that's not an official update. It's a beta tester sharing a wallpaper he's constructing. -
