  1. Also, the quintessential factor exacerbating these 'worldy destructive' tendancies, is the Starforge. The Starforge is almost like a living being - feeding and hungering for Dark Side energies. Malak, of course, was not mentally of sufficent strengh to resist the corrupting effects of the Starforge. And the more Dark Side energy the Starforge consumes, the more it needs, thus requiring greater & greater wanton destruction in order to satisfy its insatiable appetite. This explains why Malak became increasingly evil and destructive, bordering insanity. But now that it's established that Malak (and not Saul), was the chief instigator for the bombardment of Telos & Taris, the question still remains concerning Dantooine...for if Malak was aware of it before, why was no action taken until Saul Karath's? And at that rate, why wasn't Dantooine common knowledge for Saul in the first place?
  2. Yeah, but just like Taris, that was probably Malak's idea as well. During the Leviathan interrogation (in reference to the Telos bombing), Saul explained to Carth something along the lines that 'the Sith would not accept me until I turn my back on the Republic' - hence Telos merely being an example Saul's loyalty carrying out his orders. Also, during the post-revelation on the Ebon Hawk (when Carth blamed Revan for the destruction of Telos), Canderous said (paraphrased): 'We all know Malak gave the order to destroy your world, Carth. You can't blame Revan for that' Your thoughts?
  3. Give me hoods and I'll wait for KotOR III :D
  4. The only good wookie is a dead wookie. <_<
  5. Interesting points Salsa. I'm thinking that your theory is right. Malak probably couldn't be bothered to 'inform' Saul on the situation, and Admiral Karath thus tried to look smart in front on Malak by (i) finding out the location for himself; (ii) destroying the enclave. But does this mean that it was Saul directly who gave the order to bombard Dantooine, and not Malak? Stange, as Malak did seem to have a thing for bombing planets...
  6. Atton will be using anarmed combat for sure...he's a very 'hands-on' type of guy. "
  7. Indeed. I've always wanted to Sith slap some Selkath cheek flaps...
  8. Hydrogen, You should talk to Candy on the Starforge.
  9. Why did the Sith wait so long then, if they knew about it from day 1 ?
  10. I'd settle for a $50 rebate... "
  11. As I was holding off levels at lvl 2 on K1, I was toting around with Zalbaar's Bowcaster until the distance was closed down...after which I'd whip out my trustly Prototype Vibroblade. Ah...Taris - good times, good times. *sigh* Since you already start off as a Jedi in K2, there's no point to holding off levels so it will be: vibroblade--->vibrosword ---->lighsaber.
  12. Here's something that puzzles me : Why was it necessary for Sarul Karath to 'figure out' the Jedi Enclave location and why did it take the Sith so long to locate Dantooine? Wouldn't Malak have trained there when he was a Jedi? Surely they could have just asked him...
  13. And option 'blank' is running away with it...
  14. Dude, where's my lightsaber? ^_^
  15. Not only was Akari-sei's 400th post absolutley legend (in weekend programmer #5), but his overall participation has been amazing! (w00t) This one's for you Akari : - Thanks again for taking the time to answer our questions and working hard on those weekends to bring us, quite possibly the BEST game we'll see in a very long time.
  16. That's Dame Judi Dench to you, thank you very much. " Oh, and you're right...it does indeed sound like her.
  17. Canderous isn't just "some slacker"! <_<
  18. Speculative Theory: Candyman made a pledge to Revan at the end of K1 - paraphrased: "No matter how this plays out, I'm your man til the end, Revan" He also said something along the lines of uniting the Mandalorian clans, perhaps under the Sith or Republic. Now, if one aspect of the story revolves around locating Revan, AND Candyman took the mantle of Mandalore, then that's a damn good reason to temporaliy join up with the PC to find Revan. (The same could possibly apply to HK-47 should he be a party NPC) What do you guys & gals think?
  19. You two do realize that by posting in this thread you're in fact contradicting...*looks at the irony of my post* D'oh!
  20. Guardian/Sith Lord with Mandalore at my side.
  21. Check out the AIMs in the media section on the new website kotor2.com. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) Gold! (It's Mandalore!!!! (w00t) ....without a red helmet?! )
  22. OK, I'm all confused... Can someone link some screenies as to who exactly are these people: Visas Marr, handmaien and disciple? Also, where did you get these names (mainly Visas Marr), in the first place?
  23. Akari, In K1, when you interacted with a non-party NPC, the PC always initiated the dialogue, regardless of whether you clicked using a party NPC or not. Since its been stated that in K2 we will have to to split the party in two teams at certain times, how will this character interaction work in the party which does NOT have the PC? Also, who will attain any subsequent force alignment points acquired during the dialogue - the PC regardless or the actual party NPC used? Thanks.
  24. Hey Akari, Can you reveal any d20 rules (bonuses, special powers, immunites, BaB, AC, etc.), pertaining to the various prestige classes?
