  1. Yep, good luck crazy.joe lets hope Obsidian can get through to LA over this... it really isn't helping them to have such a hard line Publisher I've not given up hope, but I'm certainly disheartened
  2. Me too nightcleaver, but for months now every time I pop onto the board to take a look, all I hear is the wind whistling through the trees, and see the occassional tumble weed blowing past And to anyone who's jumping up and down with excitement over NWN2 and other Obsidian up and coming products, don't say you've not been warned, rent or borrow before you buy. And before any other clever little souls point me towards LucasArts, you have to remember that Obsidian got themselves into this mess by allowing LucasArts to dictate to them so much that they can't even support their own product. After all, there is a second patch (it was confirmed what, a month ago plus now by one of the Assistant producers on here) that does include better music and video, they just can't release it... now where's the business sense in that? I'm sure I'll borrow NWN2 from a friend or colleague, the same as I've been borrowed other LucasArt recent games after I bought this terribly supported game, and to think, it had such promise... Oh, and a warning to the unaware, especially in the USA. Avoid Boiling Point, at least for the time being, and watch the forum for the game, there are major issues with that too
  3. It's an OK game. I'll admit I didn't suffer very many game killing bugs. (I also did a bit of code editing to get round the Telos Fuel mission bug) but there are enough minor bugs to cause a lot of irritation. I received a questionaire a few days ago asking me about my opinions on KOTOR2 and I answered them honestly. I enjoyed playing the game, but thought that the tech support for it was terrible and that it would affect my future purchases (namely if they do KOTOR3, yes it was mentioned in the questionaire) There are enough bugs in the game to question paying more than about
  4. Not for some time that I'm aware of. It's now been pending for a while, so it looks like the restoration project still needs to go ahead Oh, and as I promised, I've not bothered to buy Lego Starwars, Starwars Battlefront or Republic Commando (And for god sake lets hope the movie Episode 3 has no more stupid characters in it, or I'll skip that too) I borrow the games where I can (RC only took 3 evenings to complete) and to be quite honest, I'd recommend you do the same where possible Thanks Lucasarts, you've really excelled this time, truely, you have... And as for Obsidian, I'll be VERY cautious before I pay out for NeverWinterNights 2, I will definately be checking the forums and reviews before I pay a penny
  5. Thankyou for that useless piece of guesswork, I'm sure your sources are totally reliable <_< I'll simply wait and see
  6. As good a method of thinking as any, and if we do only get one patch, then quite frankly, as much as it pains me to say, I'd rather wait another month and get what I want rather than a half baked patch now with no follow up Although KOTOR Did get 3 patches at least with Bioware...
  7. I noticed, especially near the end, that the game appears to have been "rushed", as if to finish it off. Leaving Telos Station near the end of the game will shock you when you notice that nearly every room is either locked or is completely empty!!! The excuse is that there's an evacuation, but hell, they took the tables, chairs, the lot!!! The quality is only about the same as the first game too, and in places does seem to be slightly worse, and I'm using a XFX Geforce 6 6800 Ultra with the latest drivers The game was fun, I enjoyed it, but I'm not that happy about the state the game was realeased in, as I've said before I await the patch, that will be the decider for me
  8. You'll find it at C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\Override Assuming that you installed to the default folder Hope this helps DarkPaladin (PS I completed the game, and it did register that the quest had been solved (w00t)
  9. I just wanted to say thankyou to you stoffe -mkb- for the below solution to the Telos Fuel Quest problem. I have to admit I thought it would be pretty daunting, but downloaded the packages from Bioware and had solved it in about 10 minutes (Including install time! ) So thankyou, very, very much... I have now solved the Fuel for Telos mission
  10. Just out of interest, but has anyone played the XBOX version of the game? (I've not) How much different is it to the PC version? Was wondering if some of the bugs are in the console version too? As for the comments made about Lucasarts "not caring" about the PC version of the game, I think you'll find that they do. If they truely didn't care, they wouldn't even bother in the first place. Consoles are all well and good, but I'd never buy one, the specs are always WAY behind that of PC's, they always will be! XBOX 2 will be behind the times when it's released... do you think it'll have a 6800 Ultra 256 graphics card with a 6600 SLI'd to it, along with 2 Gig+ of DDR2 533 speed memory? Uummm.. no, I doubt it somehow considering they cost around
  11. And software companies complain about the increase in piracy... they're digging there own grave with every game they abandon. I have to admit, I DID buy the game, but if I'm not happy with the support, I shan't bother in the future, and I imagine I'm far from the only person who feels this way, but hey, that's up to Lucasarts and Obsidian Lets hope the title of this thread isn't the case...
  12. On Citadel Station, there are quite a lot of "Quest" bugs:- The TSF Reception Droid has not recognised that the Ebon Hawk Stolen! quest has been completed ages ago I am still able to ask Chodo Habat about "A man named Batono" even after that quest has been completed I can still ask Moza about the "Modified Blaster" even after that quest has been completed I am still able to ask for a plant specimen even after I have completed the quest "legally" On Nar Shaddaa:- On the Yacht Upon reaching level 15, I noticed that I only had 1 skill point to level up with, when I checked and all my stats had reverted to 8!!! I had to quit out of the game completely, and reload a previous saved game to finally stop the problem, as simply loading my last save was still duplicating the problem After completing the "Improve your weakest skill" task by Kreia, my weakest and strongest skills did NOT improve like the game claimed they would, in fact, none of my stats did!
  13. Hi everyone, this is my first post Forgive me if I repeat anything (I've seen some of these bugs reported already) just reporting my own problems so far P4 3400 XFX 6800 Ultra 256 2 Gig 400 speed RAM Windows XP Home - SP2 NVIDIA Forceware Drivers 71.84 I've stopped playing for a while, hoping that the patch comes out relatively soon, but so far I'm quite disapointed with the amount of bugs I've found, and I've only just left for the surface of Telos!!! I too have found that Swoop Racing receives the wrong "You crashed" comments no matter what your time is, plus my bike appears well above the Swoop track and so miss all the speed boosts. I found that if I pres the space bar BEFORE I excellerate, I can get past this, but the delay this causes makes it very hard to come first place When aliens talk, I've found that some conversations finish too soon, where as others go on forever and I have to click to get the text to advance (Especially droids) Some of the quest conversation entries are not clearing once they've been asked, which is annoying to say the least. For example the modified Blaster quest is sorted, yet I'm STILL able to ask everyone about it over and over again!! Starting up in Windowed Mode seems pretty poor Watching the cut scene's leaving the Station and flying down to Telos, there are 3 Cut scenes, leaving the station, then flying through the atmosphere, then being shot down, each with a Black Screen in between them that lasts 4 or 5 seconds each, I'd have expected it to be much more streamlined Have also seen where my main character simply stands there and lets people attack him while he does nothing, so means I have to keep giving orders and micromanage the characters during combat I'm sure there are more, but these are the one's that come to mind
