  1. Harshness = http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3154870
  2. " I felt like I earned these levels " Earned two levels by being in some easy tourney and dealing with pignastics? Hmm..
  3. That doesn't like TNO at all to me. Sorry, Dags. As for the tutorial. It was good for what it was. What i find funny is that it was pretty much set up exactly like NWN1 in order to test various aspects of the skills needed for the game?> btw, Where's Sand to whine about the fact you gain two levels during the turtorial/prologue? R00fles!
  4. "A Dragon Age thread not started by Volourn?" NWN2 NWN2 NWN2 NWN2 NWN2 As for role-playing, did people read the same article as I? It was quite clear that the different backgrounds pretty much mean that the beginning of the game will be vastly different for each one. And, BIO has said that backgrounds will effect some things later on. And, Grom wins as well. Most of that stuff has been discussed ad nauseum on the BIO baords. The graphics look good. Not great. Just good.
  5. Funny, and sad at the same time. What's worse is that he knew he got it wrong even before she said so. OW!
  6. "finding an artifact level magic item in a barrel, or decent magic on a rat certainly qualifies as such." Then it's a good thing that enver happened in NWN1. "
  7. Didn't notice since I created a dwarf (of course).
  8. "How do you think story is poor? Care to suggest further?" Unlike the OP, I wouldn't say the story is poor. However, it is not great. Solid is the term I'd use. It's basically the same set up as 99% of RPGs. Kinda reminds me of all three NWN campaigns. The story itself is not what makes the camapign fun to me. The characters, character creation/customization, and exploration is.
  9. While NWN2 is far from perfect; it's also far from being ruined. Some things are better, some things are worse. *shrugs*
  10. Meh. What a silly thing to complain about.
  11. Of course it's a slam dunk. It's a sequel to a million+ seller. It's a good game. Of course, some are vastly overrating it and others are vastly underrated.
  12. LOL Where all the people who whined about the 'ph@tlewt' in NWN1? LOL
  13. Mkreku, look at first post in thread.
  14. Don't agree with everything; but pretty good overall. 100% right about the camera controls, however. Annoying beyond heck.
  15. Spotted my first bug; but it's rather minor. My character has a +7 to hit; but the character sheet only showed +5. No real biggy as he is still getting it and NWN1 had similar buggies.
  16. The game marches on....... The main joinables gain a 1.25 out of 2 so far... Camera control seems to be getting better as well. NWN2's combat is pretty much NWN1 combat; but with 3.5 rules and a SP party. LO @ Obsidian 4 'puppet control' The, exploring, character interaction, and character system is what makes the game fun. The story isn't that impressive (thus far). Chapter 1 is pretty free.....
  17. My impressions still stand from page 7. I'm into the main game, and shoud be starting a SPOILER filled thread discussing my thoughts for those who care later on.
  18. That's what Bethesdeans deserve!!!!
  19. Well. All I can say is that NWN2 is very, very stable. At least for me. I won't be complaining about bugs either for the most part. I have yet to catch any as of yet. Got other things to complain about; but NOT this.
  20. Patch took longer to install than the game. LOL
  21. As long as you inform the readers if you played the patched or unpatched version, either way should be fine, imo.
  22. Just finished the prologue, and started the first chapter. Quick NON SPOILING stuff: Character control is same as NWN1 just with the option to control the npc henchmen as your own personal slaves in battle. Interface is solid. Some improvements like the different battle commands like PA sticking (which we already knew about prerelease) are coo. I don't care much for the 'quickspell' junk. Quick slots are neat. For some reason it seems you cna't combine weapon + shield in a quick slot ala NWN. Kinda dissapointing, imo. Unless I'm missing how to do iut. The mini map is right on. The prologue basically does what the NWN OC one did - introduce you to the game, and controls which is a-ok. The npcs in the prologue are a tad more interesting than the NWN1 OC. Best part of the prologue is it instantly shows that dialogue skills do show up though I'm not sure if it really helped. Graphics are good to very good. However, camera control, and the overview make sit really annoying to get a good look at everything. Camera control is really poor thus far, imo. Hopefully, I'll get used to that. Music, and voice overs are solid. Stability is VERY good. No apparant bugs or anything of that nature. Load times are fast. Sometimes so fast, I cna't even read the load screen tips. Heh. One plea to Obsidian devs though: In the next patch can you please have it that when you overwrite a save you *don't* have to rewrite the save name file. If possible, it would be appreciated... at least by me. I'm playing my usual dwarven fighter/cleric of Berronar. The ubering of the Earth domain is nice as I can got the toughness feat as a bonus. YAY! I'm level 2 fighter/level 1 cleric. LG, and male. So far, I'm really liking the game. My BIGGEST beef which is dampering my enjoyment are the anal camera controls, Otherwise, it pretty much rocks. And, oh, this is definitely a sequel to NWN1. LONG LIVE NWN SERIES! DEATH TO ALL OTHER SERIES ESPICIALLY BG AND KOTOR!!!!!!
  23. Character creation is good. My biggest beef is that the dwarven beard absolutely suck. Only one was ok enough to even use. The others.. were.. ugh. Everything else was basically like NWN1 but with more stuff to choose overall as any good sequel should have. No stability problems. The stupid patch took as long to download as the game took to install. LOL Got the pathetic regualr edition because LE wasn't in, and I wanted the game NOW!!!!
