The Lost Jedi

Okay Lannister, it is possible that some of these things may be happenig with you: 1. You've encountered a bug where your characters are going to become the OPPOSITE of what your alignment is. I encountered this once a short while ago, after my character was captured (I won't say by who - just in case ) and the others had to rescue him, but once they finally found him they suddenly changed into DS aligned looks. Their characters i.e thier dialog and speech were unaffected but their looks were of the DS. I tested this by cheating and turning myself DS - lo and begold they went straight to the opposite end of the scale. All I could do was say WTF??? and start my game all over again - it sucks, but you would do it eventually. 2. Maybe you did miss something in the gameplay that keeps turning them darkside - have you always acted good and king even towards your enemies in the game? Converting them all is actuall pretty easy, although it does require some patience! I'm sure there is a thread around here somewhere that shows where the best places are in the game to influence each character and what to say at the right moment, but I can't find it now. Here are some hints on converting Handmaiden and Mira (my two favourites BTW!) Handmaiden is the easiest of the lot. You can basically transform her into a Jedi by talking to her a lot on the Ebon Hawk. Ask her to train with you each time you see she has advanced in her Echani training (she needs to be at least lvl 18 to master it I think). In between - go talk to Kreia, she will discuss certain issues involving Handmaidens past, Atris and you training her as a Jedi. Pay attention and DON'T say anything that goes against you actually wanting to train her. Oh, and after you fight with Handmaiden - ask her why it's necessary to fight without clothes, once when you have none on and another when you do. Mira is a bit tougher to influence. Talking to her while she is on the ship and you all are on another planet (NOT Nar Shadaa) will help. Get her to open up about her past and her encounters with Hanharr. Also ask her why she seems restless, but don't insult Nar Shadaa - she cares for it. The best way to convert her is to take her with you when you first go to Dxun - obviously this means going to Nar Shadaa first after you finally depart Telos. Make sure she stays with you at all times while you are on Dxun. (BTW, when you first get to Nar Shadaa, Atton and Bao-Dur can be greatly influenced here too!) After you finish on Dxun and you got the line: 'Maybe someday I'll let you.' (or something like that) take her back to Nar Shadaa - you should have recieved enough clues in the dialog to help convert her to a Jedi. Anyway enough from me - hope that helps.

www.pcgamemods.com is one of the best places I've found for mods for plenty of our favouriste games. If any of the pro-modders are reading this, how about making a mod that allows the PC to choose a power like Force Crush, even if he is a Light Side character; or Force Enlightenment if he is darkside. Instead of having to play for 20 hours before they become available to you or something you can choose them to begin with. (w00t) (Drools with anticipation) I know I'm supposed to play through each time and make different choices etc, but I'm tired of that now and want to try something a little more exotic. I've played through with all the LS character choices and a DS character, but even still it's become a littel repetative now. I like the idea of being a good guy but being able to dish out some Old Testament vengeance! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! Sorry i know that sounded totally childish.

Actually, the best way to win the race on Nar Shadaa is to race BEFORE you destroy that stupid droid! Make sure you don't do TOO well because he keeps beating you by about one second (stupid thing). Any way after you have a reasonably easy time to beat - scrap him, then race again and do your best this time. Bingo! 500 in the bag!

The swoop racing wasn't that hard, the only problems I encountered was a bug. Whenever I fininshed a race, it would come up with something like: "nasty spill you had out there" or something. Finally on one of my replays I manged to finish all of them. Each one only gives you 500 credits for winning though, after that i only played them for something to do. BTW, my time was 39:19 for Telos!

On the subject of GOTO. I also believed him to be nothing more than a droid sent to keep an eye on me while the real GOTO hid somewhere. But something in this vivid imagination of mine, looked at it from another point of view. GOTO was the No.1 power munger right? ANYONE with that much power and money is going to have people wanting to put a thermal detonator in his underwear , so that's why he kept his location secret. Now here's something. Didn't Luxa, that hot red-headed babe from Telos station say that Goto "is cold and all numbers" - it's a bit of a far stretch but bear with me. When you first arrived on Nar Shadaa and the cutscene showing the Bounty Hunters in a meeting showed, you also saw the floating droid carrying the image of Goto. I wondered if it wasn't all just for show; the real GOTO IS the droid GO-TO. Masquerading as a messenger droid for the "real GOTO" was probably the best way he could hide himself. And personally I think it was. The best place to hide a letter is on the mantlepiece - as the saying goes, GOTO was right in front of the bounty hunters all the time, but they would never have suspected it! Just a thought.

This one and also when you take control of B4-D4 and tell the Czerka astromech droid to open fire on everyone. I thought I'd never stop laughing. (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

Ah yes! The romance between the General and her Scoundral is just brilliant! After seeing those I was inspired to play as a female character in the game, I had quite a few laughs doing it too!

I think it would be great to have the Exile and Reven appear in KOTOR 3...and be able to play as either one of them each with a slightly different storyline than the other. Of course, you should be able to customise each one at the start of the game to look like the way you think they should look. Their paths cross at various points in the game, just so you get the feeling of them being their own character and not some sort of existence trapped aboard the Ebon Hawk!

I'm sure I saw a thread like this somewhere but I can't find it now. Anyway, I have both the Episode 1 & 6 soundtracks for Star Wars. If i ever get tired of the soundtracks for my Star Wars games (which is like 85% of the time " ) playing these songs on iTunes or whatever is kinda cool. Playing "Duel of the Fates" when you come across a Dark Jedi in Jedi Academy or eitherr of the KOTOR games is REALLY cool. Just a pity the battles don't last as long as the music. Anyway just my 2c worth.

I wonder if anyone out there would make a mod/cheat that could give you a few thousand components or chemicals. trying to collect the damn things so you can blow them all on one measly upgrade doesn't feel all that satisfying. <_<

Aimo, your pictures are really amazing! I think I'm also one of many who've bookmarked Galactic Theatre in their Favorites. :D I know you must get flooded with requests for drawings, but one which I imagine would go down well for everyone is a picture of either Reven/The Exile (male or female; shouldn't matter anyway) crossing sabers with their LS or DS selves. (w00t) (w00t) The image of my own LS Exile fighting my DS Exile is kinda cool, but maybe that's just me. " Anyway, keep up the good work!

Okay, here's the story: While playing KOTOR 2 last weekend on my new PC, my graphics card, a GeForce 4800 FX model, decides it's finally had enough (it is over a year old) and dies. I get a new card put in, a GeForce 5200 FX with 128MB, plus some more RAM, giving me a total of over 1G in RAM. Love it! However, when I play KOTOR 2, or any of my games now, I notice that there is a slight 'lagging' in gameplay. I always play on a 1024X768 setting, which is best for my computer, but now in order to get anywhere near what it was playing like, I have to play at 800 X 600 <_< which - in absolute truth - SUCKS! I have checked all settings and tweaked what I can, but to no avail. Any ideas, or any explanations as to why this stupid things gotten SLOWER instead of FASTER?????
