  1. read the spell description
  2. You can just read all the endings on the wiki yeah...that sounds fun...
  3. in my party it was always GM that slid off crevices, pulled muscles, got major head trauma.... 0.0
  4. lol, might have to replay the entire ending multiple times to see what happens
  5. thanks, now im just interested to know what happens if you lie to her
  6. So just a heads up, not looking for spoilers, just nudge in the right direction please So I just prayed to Hylea in Twin Elms, after restoring her temple. I basically chose her because I was frankly going to kill the dragon anyway and the selection of gods was how we say....lacking... Anyway, she made me promise to return the souls to the hollowborn, but I think after thinking about it I am more inclined to returning them to the wheel and the natural cycle (depending if the option even exists?) Is there an option to do something other than you promised? Is there a significant penalty for going agains what you promised?
  7. press '~' key write "iroll20s" write "AddExperience number" (with number as the amount of XP you want) knock yourself out
  8. My wizard is more focused on CC than dmg. Besides i have 16 might as it is so im fine on that
  9. Damn this brutal game! I just got both the Starlit Garb and Gwisk Gilas. Problem is the starlit garb has better stats (i put +2 int on it) and looks ok. But the Gwisk Gilas has worse stats for me (+2 might instead of int) and looks way more bad ass! What's a poor mage to do?!
  10. yeah for some reason its the only quest in the game where even if your detection circle is fully red, as long as you stay in scout/hidden mode they wont detect you
  11. its already hard enough to figure out what goes on in the middle of battle, throwing in 6 more big boxes on top of everything is gonna make it even more of a mess
  12. ooh thanks for the tip, didn't know about Starlit Garb and Gwisk Gilas. I'll have to check them out btw, who is Lord Exarch Sserkal?
  13. oh, I just walked into Galawain's Maw and talked with them and got the quest, lol
  14. I chose the bear over the lioness, and here's why. There was a room not from from the front door where there was a table and one of the Maw's leaders who was sitting there pondering what to do. On that table was a book of Galawain that talked about how when an old leader was charged with being too old, the leader should go out in the woods to prove himself worthy, yada-yada-yada. So I took this lesson to heart and went back to speak to the lioness' human go-between. I picked whatever dialog options fit this philosophy, and the lioness' person had a change of heart and decided that the lioness needed to fight her own battles if she wanted to prove that she continued to be worthy of her position, and promptly left the room, leaving my part alone with the lioness. Unfortunately the lioness attacked me. I was sort of hoping that she was going to leave her lair and fight the bear, but since she attacked the party, I had to defend myself and slay her. Problem solved. But I actually wish that situation had been scripted to have her leave the lair and fight the bear challenger, so that it didn't appear that the PC had picked a side in the fight so much as I had resolved the issue that was preventing the challenge fight from occurring in the first place. Thats really cool. I don't remember having any dialogue options besides "you're right, i'll go kill the other guy" or "you're wrong[attack]" Guess I need to read the book? I didn't know there was this kind of mechanic in the game.... The PC may not exactly care about the issues in the Maw's internal struggle, I can agree with that. But since Galawain essentially charged the PC with resolving those issues as the way to earn his favor, that seems like reason enough for the PC to get in there and do it. (Plus it moves the main plot forward.) When does Galawain ever talk to regarding this quest? 0.o
  15. I guess so. Back to the original topic tho, in those quests there is definitive personality and world views to each faction, im not even talking about possible outcomes im talking about reasons for you to care/not care/hate them. The quest in Galawain's Maw has none of it
  16. @dukefx- Why is Gilded Vale going to suffer with both of them? I mean sure killing them is not gonna solve the legacy but Raedric is the one killing everyone. (important point, I haven't finished the game yet, im in act 3 so no spoilers please) As for the defiance bay factions I also disagree. The Dozen are obviously a bunch of hotheaded loud and violent group that are just mad on issues because they dont understand them. I mean seriously even in the end of act 2 when their delegate is talking to the king about why he is mad about animancy, none of his reasons have ANYTHING to do with animancy. The doemenels(sp?) are obviously mafia, so...take what you will on that And the knights are the most closely I feel the "good" guys, sure they aren't officialy sanctioned but they are the closest to a peacekeeping force there is, they try to maintain order and such.
  17. lol thats a cool idea. If I wasn't playing a good guy i might do that Here its just "I should be in charge!" "No I should!" Defiance Bay factions Raedric vs Kolsc "Gods" What makes these "better" quests? I couldn't care less about either of them. It's pretty much about rewards. With the Defiance Bay factions you have 3 very unique world views and actions from each faction. They each have very defined personalities and ways they think the world should be, so you can make a clear choice who you think is right and who you support. Same with Raedric vs Kolsc, do you agree with what Raedric is doing, killing basically everyone in his land out of some mad misguided notion of helping? Or do you think he should be stopped? While I agree you don't have that much of a motivation to support Kolsc other than to stop Raedric, that in itself is reason enough. Not sure what you mean about "Gods"
  18. So after you finish the quest Cinders of Faith or whatever its called, aren't you supposed to see the fires on the statues lit? I am in act 3 and still none of the fires are lit
  19. It depends on how you deal with the end result. With the uncle and the girl, what did you do with the uncle? And with the couple with the amulet, did you break it against his will, or convince him it was the right move? This could have big consequences on how you're actions are perceived
  20. There should be some motivation for making you care either way. Every quest has some story or reason to make you choose you personal outcome. Here its just "I should be in charge!" "No I should!" And then you pick someone to kill, without any way to figure out some alternative solution. :-/ Worst quest in the game? EDIT- also like i wrote in the OP, what is the deal with the huge beasts? Are they shape shifted druids? Because if so it is not explained at all. If they are not druids, why are they being treated as head figures in the clan?
  21. ok sure I guess. But why do you care? I see very little motivation if any at all in this quest
  22. what do you mean everything good you do loses you reputation? I'm playing an all good playthrough and i get nothing but positive rep
  23. So in the quest to choose which of the "warriors" gets to rule, who did you pick and why? I find myself feeling very "meh" about the whole thing. I see no right and wrong in any side, and no reason to support either. Especially since it seems like you're forced to kill whoever you don't support (I assume, didn't actually make a choice yet). Also, am I the only one thinking this quest feels very poorly written and delivered? I mean the people there start talking to you about issues and characters like you already know about everything. And what's the deal with the giant beasts?
  24. seems like Tanners are a bad seed in these fantasy worlds and CRPGs ;-)
  25. the patch 1.0.3 in GOG includes the hotfix
