The reason why your character is locked is because the console is active, but the console is invisible in this game... (don't ask why...) You then just type the cheat, press enter and you should see it take effect if you typed it in properly.

I think buying a newer vid card would be best, as the GF2 Mx400 is pretty ancient now...

Download and install the supported drivers for your vid card, those are the Forceware 66.93 drivers. Get them here. And no, a wireless keyboard doesn't matter...

I've been able to solve the freezing during loading by switching off movies...... It sucks but at least I can play the game now...

Try switching off movies in swconfig.exe, it worked for me...

KotOR2 works perfectly with my SB PCI128, as always... Even though it's 5 years old I never had the need to upgrade it so why now?
