  1. I always figured if i had to go I'd drink myself out.
  2. Heck even I don't agree with the LP and Gary Johnson on everything. But I will say this, after voting for him I won't have any problems with the guy in the mirror.
  3. No, it's not fraud. Donations to any group (other than non-profit) can be used at the discretion of the group. They can use that money to support candidates, get Debbie Wasserman-Schultz a perm, whatever. Now as for the other corruption Clinton is engaged in, that is a different story.
  4. It becomes the government's job when the politician breaks the law, like Hilzilla. But the press is certainly not doing their jobs either, unless you accept that their job is to be Democrat party operatives, in which case they're doing great. Well that's just it. Sabotaging candidates is not illegal for the DNC. The only ones they actually answer to are the members of the democrat party itself. Technically they do not even need to have primary elections. They can have a closed door meeting and just walk out on that stage and say "Wrath of Dagon" is our nominee. So what they are doing is certainly dishonest and abusive of the trust of Democrat voters and certainly a violation of their own rules. But none of it is criminal.
  5. When our own government refuses to keep our politicians honest, we have to outsource it to the Russians. Foreigners - doing the jobs Americans won't do. Well that's actually the media's job. Not the government. You do NOT want the government getting involved in elections. But when the media is a willing participant in the conspiracy THEN we outsource to the Russians!
  6. I wish I could say I was shocked to read the details: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3708394/Two-men-armed-knives-people-hostage-French-church.html If they tried that at the First Baptist Church in Covington TN they would have been shot a dozen times over before passing the first pew.
  7. Which was which again?
  8. Bruce, I like you. But there is thing thing you do that just annoys the absolute HELL out of me. And you just did it now. It's the notion you put forward that if someone is taking a position contrary to yours then either 1) They don't understand the facts, concept, what you are saying. 2) They are reacting from emotion, bias, lack of intellectual sophistication, etc. I realize you are a man than enjoys a good debate and believe me so do I. But a good debate does not follow when your opening statement is a polite admonition that the opposing viewpoint is rooted in stupidity. Even in the rare occasions that it actually is. As far as the illegality of the media acting in concert with the DNC to destroy a candidate... it's not illegal. It is dishonest. The NPR came close when they ran a story that Bernie Sanders had dual citizenship with Israel ( a country he had never even visited at that time). And by the way, nothing Wikileaks has released has been denied. As Namutree pointed out. Had the DNC just fulfilled it's function and not taken a hand there would have been nothing to release.
  9. I have a good suggestion: Stop doing shady crap you want to keep secret so that wikileaks becomes pointless. So you happy that Wikileaks becomes the selective arbiter of personal and confidential emails, Diplomatic cables and anything else relevant to the USA that the rest of the world is not suppose to see? For me the real issue is the hacking and the external foreign powers trying to get involved in the US elections....surly this is much more of concern than the support members of the DNC had for Hilary Clinton? It doesn't bother you at all that this has exposed a genuine corruption at the very heart of one of only two principle parties in the US? It doesn't bother you to learn they are deliberately subverting one of the most important institutions of Republican or Parliamentary Democracy: free and fair elections. And worst that they are colluding with major media outlets to do it?
  10. Working from home today. I'm preparing my part of a Power Point presentation for the TN House Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee when they get back to work next month. It's pretty boring stuff. Just a regression analysis on riverbank erosion post-reinforcement with the change in river current patterns. And they DO change. A lot. Something I never realized or realized was important.
  11. I've made plain my disdain for the Democrat Party and what they stand for. But what is happening to it now is truly heartbreaking. With the exception of the 1960's (not a good time for the US in general) the Democratic Party was the champion of the Jacksonian Democracy philosophy. Some President's less so (Carter & Obama) some more so (Clinton & Johnson). But it is far, far removed from that now. And that is a terrible thing.
  12. There is usually drama but this year is unusual.
  13. I was just watching MSNBC. They are so in the tank for the DNC and Hillary is is nearly sickening. This whole e-mail thing is all the Russian's fault. None of this would have happened if not for the Russians. Actually even if the Russians were behind the leaks none of this would have happened if the whole damned lot of them were not as crooked as a dogs hind leg. Had there been no corruption, no collusion, no attempts to lie or sabotage there would have been nothing to leak.
  14. Well, I can think of few better equipped to survive the Trumpocalypse to the Clintopocalypse than me. I have enough arable land to support myself by farming. It has a natural water source on it and a larger one nearby for irrigation, electricity production, and drinking. I have the knowledge and raw materials to produce whiskey for trade, more than enough firearms and ammunition for defense, and the know how to use natural defenses and uncontrolled access to the largest wildlife management area on the middle Mississippi. So two those two world destroyers I say "bring it on!" But in all seriousness you are of course correct, In November either Clinton or Trump will become President and four years from now if the country is a different place it will only be so by a matter of small degree. As you pointed out earlier, with the exception of Supreme Court appointments who becomes President is not really the earth shattering decision we make it out to be.
  15. Bruce I'm curious. Is there any level of corruption or dishonesty on the part of Hillary Clinton or her team that would lead you to believe that maybe what everyone is saying about her might be correct?
  16. “When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness, and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!” "I once got so drunk I woke up in a bathtub next to a girl I had Microeconomics with. She looked so beautiful with her smeared makeup and the smell of vodka and pineapple was pleasant. I have never felt such love for anyone since." -KP I don't like quotes because the ones I usually post are obscene. Well mine was from Don Quixote. It seemed appropriate since it matched what you said and you made reference to it.
  17. Whats wrong with Donna Brazile? She has an illustrious and proud history of political service, she worked for the Al Gore campaign in 2000..she is very professional and will be an asset to the DNC https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donna_Brazile The DNC was colluding with CNN to LIE about Sanders and now the new head of the DNC is from CNN? Optics Bruce. Optics.
  18. “When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness, and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!”
  19. So lets see. CNN, MSNBC, the Clinton Campaign and the DNC are colluding to spread false information about Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump. It's bad enough that the head of the DNC resigns in disgrace (for what that's worth) and she will be replaced with Donna Brazile, a political analyst from CNN. OK, that will just fix everything I'm sure! Zor is right, this is beyond absurd. Like he said if you wrote a novel with this plot-line the publisher would laugh you out of his office!
  20. I believe Hillary & the DNC figure the Sanders supporters will end up checking her name on election day no matter how poorly they are treated. After all, where are they going to go? To Trump? It's actually pretty woolly thinking. They probably won't go to Trump but they may cast protest votes or worse for the Dems, stay home all together. The Democrat Party needs to realize something. A Trump presidency is not the worst possible outcome of this election for them. A Trump Presidency AND a Republican Congress is a real possibility if they continue to deliberately marginalize those who might have supported them. As it is the damage may e done. Wasserman-Shutz's scalp may not be enough to mollify them after seeing there was real collusion between the media, the DNC, and the Clinton campaign to sabotage their guy. And they may not even have her scalp if she goes from the DNC chair to a job in the Clinton Admin or a Committee chair in Congress is she is reelected and the House changes hands. The old Potomac Two Step.... on and on it goes.
  21. Johnson ad for the Bernie Sanders voters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DZiw3dDT_g
  22. Nothing wrong with that either.
  23. Like I said, a vote for Johnson is not wasted if it gains the LP 5% of the popular vote. Getting ballot access in all 50 states is difficult. It requires money and manpower. Not having to to that in 2020 will save both with the additional benefits of federal election assistance. Here is the truth of it and there is no getting around it. Unless you live in Florida, Ohio, Colorado, Missouri, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, or Arizona this election is already over for you. It would take a near miracle for something to turn one of the other 42 states. I live in Tennessee and I can tell you for a fact Hillary will win in just five counties. She has no shot in hell anywhere else. So if you live in one of the other 42 and dislike both candidates please feel free to vote for Gary Johnson, or Jill Stein, or even Hurlshot. If you live in one of the "swing" states that might go either way then the whole "throwing your vote away" thing is something to consider. For me it wouldn't make a difference because I don't want either of these dirtbags going to the White house with my name behind them. But that's me. If you live in California vote how you wish. It's already over. Really a vote for Trump there is a wasted vote as is a vote for Hillary in Utah. But a vote for Johnson might change the dynamic of 2020.
  24. Wow this is a little intrusive. Hillary Clinton demanded that her VP candidates turn over every password to every social media account owned by the candidates and their families. Very Orwellian from a woman who seems like a cast member from a tyrannical Orwellian dystopia movie. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/tim-kaine-vp-ticktock-226069
  25. Wait, what? POTUS isn't allowed to endorse or campaign for precious Senate seats when one candidate received a whopping 22% more votes than the other? Is this like them unwritten baseball rules? No it's exercising discretion to avoid furthering the notion that the outcome of democrat primaries are pre-ordained. That is kind of a thing right now thanks to Wiki-Leaks, CNN, & Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. Right now the democrat party is going out of it's way to piss off a third of it's constituency when it needs every last one of them engaged. Had I been one of the President's advisers I'd have suggested he stay out of it and let things take their course.
