Sorry is this a townhouse you bought? Are you renovating to sell it and where is it located ? It's in a Memphis suburb called Bartlett. It's a decent working class neighborhood with good schools. This place needs a lot of work. I spent 13 hours there yesterday cutting up and hauling out the old carpet, padding, and tack strips. Then I scraped and cleaned the substrate floor. I was going to prep the walls for painting today but I was so sore when the alarm clock went off I just turned the damned thing off! I am planning on selling it but the market is down right now so I may rent it for a year or two.

Well, look which one got nominated. Of course there is nothing illogical about using the dingbat fringe of the movement as a measure of the whole movement. Just ask the Democrats: http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/07/photos-soviet-flags-fly-proudly-dnc-convention-march-philly/

I closed on the townhouse yesterday. I have all my tools loaded in the truck. As soon as the pups finish their breakfast and I finish this cup of coffee we're going to work.

Well said Sir! The US Constitution is very clear on what the responsibilities of the Federal government are and which branch is supposed to execute each. It specifically remands all other functions of government to the State governments. Beginning with FDR, (well really with Wilson but FDR hit the gas) the Federal government began usurping power from the state houses. It has been progressing slowly since. Now under Obama the Executive Branch is usurping power from the Legislature. We haven't had a "Palpatine" moment but one wonders if it is becoming inevitable.

Republican or Parliamentary Democracy: the worst form of government... except for all the others.

Yes (although I'm sure I've missed a few county or city level elections along the way) Yes, for both myself and Don Garlits when I worked on his campaign in 1994. Yes, see above Yes, most recently last week.

OK, Trump's wall probably isn't going to happen. And if it does he can't force Mexico to pay for it. He cannot re-negotiate NAFTA (unless he incentives Canada & Mexico in which case he's be in a weaker bargaining position not stronger) and he can't abrogate the agreement without the approval of the Senate which he won't get. That means the American Taxpayer will pay for the wall which means Congress will have to approve of it. That ain't gonna happen either. The US President is not a dictator (yet). He/She can't just do whatever the f--k they want. Although Obama has done more to damage that than any President since FDR. At least the Supreme Court has hauled him up short a few times for it. Not enough but better than not at all.

Where are you going? If it's the Bahama's Atlantis on Grand Bahama is a must see.

I'd be OK with some tax increases if they went to deficit reduction. But you know she's going to spend it all and then some, and leave us in a worse financial situation then even now. Are these apparent tax increases legitimate...its the first time I have heard about it but my knowledge of the American tax system and perceived changes to it is lacking But you will also end up paying extra money under Trump, for example how is the Trump Wall going to be funded? The President submits a budget and the Congress approves it. Or doesn't. That is how it is supposed to work. During the Obama years it hasn't and has been allowed to not work for no good reason I know of. Those tax increases could easily become a reality. The one thing that both sides agree on is companies leaving the US is a bad thing. But Hillary's response is to increase taxes on companies. The reason they leave is it is too expensive to operate in the US. How will making it even more expensive to operate in the US help with that? Short answer is it won't. But she won't lose a wink of sleep if Mr. Blue Collar American loses his job. She figures he's not voting for her anyway so f--k him.

Looks like a Hillary victory will be f-----g expensive! That cap in itemized deductions would hit me. http://www.atr.org/full-list-hillary-s-planned-tax-hikes

Yeah, it's best not to become too close with any character in A Song of Ice and Fire or the show. Some of the characters alive in the show are dead in the books and vice versa. The story of each is beginning to diverge pretty widely.

The irony of this is too much. The Democrats are accusing the Russians of interfering with a US election for revealing that the Democrats were interfering with a US Election. Did we wake up in the Twilight Zone or what?

Gary Johnson is now at 13% in two if the five major polls and appears to be a 3% favorite over Trump with active duty military: http://thehill.com/policy/defense/288546-poll-libertarian-johnson-beating-trump-clinton-among-active-duty-troops

I don't vote, in this or any other election, because I cant be arsed. Our current political arena is a dumpster fire between two candidate that are ill qualified for the position of POTUS. Imo.

Another good one. This one and the Hillary one were just released yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3CiPKueqo8

This one is a bit more traditional (meaning not as good) but still pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnwBkdFQcW8

I try not to share much political stuff on my Facebook page, but this one made the list. Needs to be a national TV spot, for sure. I don't know who they've hired to produce these ads but they are doing an excellent job. They are simple, understated, and devastatingly effective. The last five have been just outstanding.

Congrat's Hillary. This is a big moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFwdvMQHmOI

Great Campaign Ad! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jyk2cID9bSI

This is good. A Trump super pac is running an ad with video of Hillary Clinton is speaking in India to Indian workers lauding their work in outsourced American jobs. She received millions of dollars in donations from Indian Companies who were getting outsourced work. She is trying to get the ad pulled because "the donations came in a year 'after' the speech". And we have descended further into parody. http://nypost.com/2016/07/27/clinton-campaigns-move-to-force-trump-super-pac-ad-off-tv/

I've had an interest in getting into home distilling, I can't believe that is still illegal.

If anyone really wants to damage the USA they don't need to interfere with this election. Damage is nearly assured not matter the outcome. The only way that will be avoided is if Congress (at least half of it) is firmly in the control of the opposite party of the winner. Then we can weather four years of impotent drama by President whoever and unf--k things in 2020.

Behold the consequences of 3 decades spent telling the voters that they can't trust media organizations! (And, you know, the internet killing the economic viability of local investigative reporting.) If all fairness the media organizations have largely killed their own credibility. As an example just contrast the tone of CNNs coverage of both Conventions.

We have now achieved singularity, where the Onion has merged with reality.. God forbid!
