These are strange times when Ktchong and I are backing the same candidate.

OK, seriously? How cool is this? After a Skyrim modder's dog passed away, he immortalised him in this beautiful tribute https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/91219

I think the US is long past the point where policy preference is anywhere on voters checklist. More is the pity. It's all about catchy slogans, cults of personality, and tribalism. There are some genuinely intelligent people in this race. People with calm and measured temperaments and sound economic ideas. They can be forgiven for making promises that cannot be delivered on because that is what candidates do. Unfortunately those people are not going to be in the campaign after Hew Hampshire if they even make it that far. It will be the big personalities making promises they will try to deliver no matter how unsound or ruinous the consequences of them that will make the ballot. It doesn't matter. As long as Congress is divided with each house in the control of different parties we'll be fine. Or as long as Congress is opposite the President we'll be fine. Although that is less than ideal. When one party hold all the levers of power, no matter which, God help us all.

So of the 67 "industrialized" nations the USA is the 47th best place to live. Wooo Hooo! In your face Denmark! See Greenland? You had a chance to move up a slot but you blew it! We have a great track record of welcoming indigenous people into our society. Just as these guys: https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/huge-healthcare-and-living-costs-keeps-us-as-one-of-worlds-worst-places-to-live-080009645.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAALqmPupa15vSFTpmjvh7NnXzjZ5XpZkTHt9LLCtivum7C3z26jPfSW_vEC2IRVCkRrQ0KzkZpUeVaxQXRjfWcDd5sVEQnKAGTZmFsyksTznx8p360FY5Iqu4BzxcUOZIwx7LNjep6v0eVbL4hVl7o6nHbgTFn2KHg1B4aRpyrVDa

I'll tell you who is happy with the Trump Admin, Gromnir. Warren Harding and James Buchanan. Suddenly they are looking a whole lot better. Edit: If you think Johnson was a trainwreck you should see the four fools running now. Doesn't matter. I'm done with tilting at that windmill anyway. I'm the guy drinking at the bar on the Titanic after it hit the iceberg. The end is assured and it can't be prevented. The 2020 election will be a contest of terrible candidates each destructively incompetent in their own way. The outcome of next year's election is somewhere below the winner of the next Stanley Cup and the outcome of the Murfeesboro Cornhole championship tournament on my list of things I give a s--t about.

Nothing that comes from this administration surprises me any more. Ditto for the last one and the next one. Believe nothing, expect nothing, get mad at nothing. That's the only sane thing to do.

Did you guys hear the one about the mathematician who was afraid of negative numbers? He would stop at nothing to avoid them!

Spent the long weekend fishing and swimming with the pups. All too soon it is ending and have to go back to work.

A bull was walking in his pasture one day and found a turkey trying to flap his wings and fly into the branches of a tree. "What are you doing?" the bull asked. "I want to perch in the top of that tree but I can't fly that high." The turkey replied. The bull thought for a moment and said "My dung is packed with nutrients you should try eating some" As the bull went on his way the turkey decided to give it a try. He found a huge fresh pile of bull droppings and started to peck away. After a week of this the turkey easily flew to the top of the tree and perched proudly there. And was then shot dead by a hunter. The moral of this story is "Bulls--t might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there!"

Wow Tek that is terrible. Deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Let's see, men of low character, millions of dollars, minimal oversight, nothing out of the ordinary.

Thanks. She is my girl. The only good thing to come out of my second (and last) marriage.

Big time. Pretty disgusting actually since I'm a lifetime member and have already donated a lot of money. Didn't realize I was paying for posh homes and lavish vacations for NRA bigwigs. Particularly LaPierre who has done far more harm than good for the cause. Well, they have gotten their last dime from me.

Got some terrible news. My dog Sunny Smiles has Cushings Disease. It can be managed somewhat with medication but her life expectancy is 12-14 months. She's only 8 (give or take). No one is guaranteed tomorrow as we all know. We have to enjoy the time we have.

I have one word for you CC: Paragraphs! Jeez that is a wall of text. To understand Gromnir you must play Baldur's Gate II, TOB. Just remember Gromnir was Gromnir before Gromnir was Gromnir. Hang around long enough, play that game and that will make sense. Last it's perfectly logical that hating the Democrats does not mean loving the Republicans. I've been hating them equally since 1996. Voting really has become an exercise in choosing the least appalling candidate. Unless you vote third party. It won't change anything but at least you won't feel like you need to take a shower after voting.

Or at least since the sunset of BIS

Going camping, swimming, and fishing with the pups at my place up near Indian Creek. It's gong to be a good weekend.
