  1. Not the ONLY remedy. An injunction from a Court will work as well putting a temporary and maybe even permanent stop to shenanigans. As long as a party with standing brings a petition.A state AG can do that. Also correct me if I'm wrong but Trump was speaking of mobilizing the NG. Only a governor of a state can do that correct?
  2. Every bear knows Russians don't taste good.
  3. Gun sales surge 80% in May, says research You guys want a stock tip? Sturm Ruger. The most popular gun maker in the USA. Durable high quality firearms at moderate prices. I own several. they are good. Barack Obama MADE that company. They boomed during his 8 years despite never really doing anything on gun control other than threaten. In fact if I were a stock holder and became President I might try that s--t myself! If he is a RGR share holder I take back everything I ever said about him. He IS a mastermind. Anyway RGR got price bumps after 9-11, the Baltimore riots, COVID-19, and this current nonsense. Think about it, either Biden wins or Trump wins in November. Both are incompetent buffoons what will drift from crisis to crisis. Biden might even put gun control back on the menu. Either way RGR is a good bet.
  4. It's been done before. Heck George Washington raised an army and invaded western Pennsylvania during the so-called whiskey rebellion. Which, ironically enough was over taxes and came just 14 years after he led the Continental Army in a war against the British that was started by taxes. It was also done by James Buchanan when US Marines rooted John Brown and his abolitionists out of the Federal Armory at Harper's Ferry. Lincoln used the Army a little heavy handedly in the North during the Civil War, something he is still castigated for today as much as then. After the war and because of that Posse Comitatus was passed to put a stop to using the military as police. But it still happens. America's first "mass school shooting" was Army National Guard gunning down unarmed protesters at Kent State University in 1970. During Hurricane Katrina in LA & MS the regular Army was deployed for "relief assistance" which including looting control along with evacuation and aid. While I was in the service the Marines at Camp Pendleton were deployed to help with wildfire control. Although I knew some guys that did that and they said they spend most of their time cutting and digging firebreaks. So that Rubicon was been crossed multiple times. But what Trump is suggesting, using the military as police is technically illegal. Unless he finds a way to call this an insurrection. Which brings up this: Trump says he'll designate antifa a terror organization, blames group for violence at George Floyd protests But really he's just talking out of his rear. He can't do most of the things he promises to do and will find out after he said it. Much to his disappointment.
  5. And just think, a month ago the US Government confirmed UFOs are real and no one even gave a s--t.
  6. @Gromnir interesting perspective. IMO another way to help "fix" policing is to minimize the level to which LE needs to interact with the public by decriminalizing victimless "crimes" like simple drug possession, marijuana for example. It reduces their work load and lowers the tension between the police and people who otherwise would never come in contact with them.
  7. Gun stocks soar as riots, looting erupt across America Sounds about right. Hey even I bought one. First gun I've bought in years. Not much use in a riot... but lots of fun the shoot
  8. Ant then THIS bulls--t happened: https://www.bet.com/news/national/2020/05/31/police-taser-morehouse-spelman-couple-update.html Talk about not learning any lessons. Then again maybe it really is just in the scorpions nature to sting.
  9. It is impressive. Especially when you use real black powder and not the synthetic stuff. It is a big boom, big cloud of smoke and a scary amount of damage with the right load.
  10. In my case it wasn't a X vs O comparison since beyond the salary I was allotted for my time, my work also increased revenue and value of a company I owned a 1/7th share of. So in that case you might say I was being paid twice
  11. Derek Chauvin transported to maximum-security prison I'd be curious to know what is in this guy's head. With one cruel, meaningless, and stupid action he took a mans life, his wife has left him, he is likely going to spend the rest of his years in prison, and he is singularly responsible for riots that have left 16 people dead, countless injured, thousands of people financially ruined, and millions of dollars of property destroyed. To say nothing of the complete undermining of the "rule of law" and the loss of respect for the police as an institution. That was all you Derek.
  12. Going back to work today for the first time in near three months. I heard they rearranged the office. This ought to be interesting
  13. When I was running my own business working 80-100 hours a week was common. Nowadays I work 40 and that is all. But, I'm earning a fraction of the money now compared to then. The more you put in the more you get out generally speaking.
  14. It does not and I am not. I just figured I'd poke the troll and see if I could get a reaction. I can't speak for your Uncle but I know protesters are not coming out to a place where houses are miles apart and everyone is armed to the teeth.
  15. O.J. SIMPSON SAYS MURDERERS NEED TO BE PUT IN JAIL
  16. I'm not rich but if you and your racist friends want to come out to my place you are welcome to do so. But if you want to break or burn something I'll show you the value a dollar in dimes.
  17. They are actually illegal here believe it or not.
  18. I got a new toy delivered yesterday: https://americanguncraft.com/product/diablo-break-open-blued-finish-12-gauge-pistol-rosewood-grip/ It's a 12 gauge double barrel pistol. Total length 10". You might be wondering how is that legal? You can't have firearms shipped to your home. And there are laws on shotgun length. Well, it's a muzzleloader black powder weapon. It's not subject to most firearms restrictions. I spent most of the day experimenting with different powder and shot loads. I must say I had a hell of a good time doing it. They recommend a max load of 42gr and 1 oz of shot/projectile. But I found it's sweet spot is 100gr of Hastings Triple 7 powder and 1.2 oz of #4 steel buckshot. With a paper overshot patch you get a really good spread. I set 10 Coors Light cans in a row. Two barrels took every one of them down. The most devastating load though was five dimes in each barrel. $1 destroyed a $6 sheet of 3/4" plywood. I have two blackpowder firearms already. One is almost 200 years old and will, obviously, never be fires. The other I build from a kit. And while it does work fine it's more of a decoration than anything else. But this bad boy is too much fun not to shoot.
  19. Isn't it amazing how cops are Billy Badass when they have a man helpless and handcuffed on the ground. But when there is a riot, homes and businesses being burned and people being beaten near to death they are nowhere to be found. The biggest bullies are cowards at heart.
  20. Hell will freeze solid before i ever live inside a city limit again. If those stupid "protesters" tried that s--t out here none of them would ever be seen again.
  21. Did you know the longest HR ever hit at Rogers Center was 540' by Jose Cansceco in the '89 ALCS. It was called the Skydome back then. The cool part is, if he had popped the ball straight up from home place just as far it would not have hit the ceiling, falling 21' short.
  22. So here is an interesting little nugget. Derek Chauvin & George Floyd may have known each other. The both worked as bouncers/security at the same nightclub. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/george-floyd-officer-who-kneeled-his-neck-had-worked-same-n1217976
  23. I say to hell with all of them.
  24. Forget the national guard, no good comes of that. Suppose for a moment I owned a pawn shop or something and was holed up inside gunning down looters as they came in. Any problems with that? None that I see.
