  1. I think it was a good call on the Basalisk war droid... ...but then, when I was playing I was too wrapped up in the story to care whether or not it was accurate. And I suspect everyone else was as well...at least at first...
  2. I always thought that the Darth title was pretty much a "if you want it, grab it" deal. Meaning that anyone who had the cajones to declare themselves a "Darth" could do so. And its too bad that Lucas axed that idea, because it would have been a great plot device to have a Hanharr be a Sith. But then, this game has already been called "unchallanging", and therefore having a giant walking carpet with Force powers and extreme hatred fueling him might make the game ridiculously easy (that's nothing against the devs, mind you) ...
  3. Viridian? Not sure what that colour is...
  4. A small correction: The world of Althir isn't the one at which Canderous rides his Basalisk droid. That world is unnamed in KOTOR I, and Althir is the battle in which Canderous was promoted to lead a subsect of his clan. It later comes up in his side-quest, with Jagi, one of the soldiers under his command at that battle.
  5. You say that with such...hatred... I can feel the love in this thread...hey, I have an idea for KotOR III! Let's make a Force-power where you can have floating lightsabers to help you! For every upgrade to that power, you get another lightsaber to float!
  6. All things considered, I'll take the version that we got in the short cutscene and that rather awesome FMV of the (rather awesome) combat landing as the real thing. I've never read SOTE (I consider it a rather cheap tie-in, from what I've heard about it), so I don't know the specs of the Virago fighter. And "concept art" is just that -- a concept. It doesn't mean it is the end-all be-all final result.
  7. Bingo. We have a winner.

  9. Monty Python meets KotOR...
  10. Actually, if you look at the wreckage that surrounds Malachor V in the cutscenes, you can see parts of other Ravager-class vessels floating in space. I also strongly suspect that Nihlus renamed the ship after he "found" it.
  11. Oh, I don't know about that. The Leviathan reminded me of a giant, iron-gray disembodied lobster claw -- there's no way I can fear a ship that looks like a friggin' shellfish appendage. The Ravager, scars and all, was IMHO a lot more badass-looking then Saul Karath's vessel.
  12. I didn't know about Bao-Dur, but you can make Atton into a Jedi Sentinal, and I think Mira as well, but I didn't get that far with her my first (and only, thus far) time through so I don't know what type she would become.
  13. Correct. Victory-class warships made their first apperance at the end of AOTC. But now that you bring it up, the Ravager definately resembles one. Capital-class warships of that period were generally a lot smaller then their Trilogy counterparts, after all, this is nearly four millennia before the ImpStarDeuces became en vogue... Woopsie...
  14. I think the Ravager was a Republic warship. One of the Mandalorian boarders says something to the effect of "it still bears the scars of Mandalorian guns..." It does look a lot like an Imperial Star Destroyer, but I think that was intentional. Its certainly no Levithan-class, though it is a hell of a lot bigger...
  15. I was a bit too busy running around and completing the game to talk to Bao-Dur that much. The first I heard of a "mass-shadow drive" was when Beo-Dur was talking to his remote on the planet itself -- I don't think I ever had the opportunity to talk to anyone else about it, and then my character "suddenly" know what it is...
  16. SPOILER ALERT! It seems to me that the game forgot a few vital scenes in dealing with the Ebon Hawk in the end. There should have been several scenes and maybe an action section where you have to get the ship operational again before departing Malachor V...and what's the deal with GO-T0 and the remote? Shouldn't they have duked it out over control of the mass-shadow drive? And what the hell is a mass-shadow drive? The game never explains that... SPOILER ALERT
  17. In the "Kreia's Fall" movie, you can see that they're adorned clumps of hair. Yikes, she's an old cow...*shudder* Insofar as alien languages in KOTOR II, however, I will say that I'm glad to hear the Aqualish speaking their native tongue instead of Ithorian, the Duros sound more like Duros, the Rodians are simirlarly more unique, and the Bith, Quarren, and other aliens also speak their own unique languages instead of KOTOR I's "everyone speaks Huttese but with different inflections from the same guy doing it"...
  18. Sorted. My computer's fault, not the game's. <--- feels like an idiot...
  19. Thanks, I'll look into it.
  20. Show-stoppers: Whenever I load a movie, any movie, the game crashes to desktop, Windows produces the error reporting screen, and my taskbar is "hidden" and inaccessable, needing a restart or logoff to regain control. I can create a character, but nothing else. When set to 1024x768, the lower and right-hand sides of the screen are cut off. System specs: Athlon XP 2500+ MSI KTE Delta KT600 (disabled onboard sound) GeForce FX5200 w/latest drivers Creative Labs Audigy 1 10GB and 40GB HDDs (installed on 40GB drive E) No patch? Someone mentioned one earlier...where can I get it?
