  1. Exile (to Handmaiden): "Sorry for the mess!" ----------------------- Exile (to Visas): "Look at the size of that thing!" ------------------ Exile, blaster in hand (to GO-TO's remains): "Boring conversation anyway." ------------------ GO-TO (to T3): "I am your father!" ------------------
  2. Mandalore: "Has anyone seen my pyjamas?" --------------- G0-T0: "Err... Goto is taking a dump at the moment... If you have any important information regarding the fate of the galaxy, please leave a message after the BEEP" --------------- Jawa: "UTINI!" (Translation: Who the F**K brought the rusty robot on boaaaaaarghh...) ----------------- Bao Dur: "That's no remote... it is a SPACE STATION!" -------------- HK-47 (Talking to his travel agent): "Statement: I'm interested in the Endor-Safari described in your brochure. Query: Do you know the average running speed of those adorable furry cretaures on the front cover?"
  3. Sorry, I don't have the time to read 35 pages right now, so this will probably have been asked already. Anyway: How can I listen to the cut dialogue lines? Is there a player I can download to open the missing files with? And in which folder are they located?
  4. If I missed any similar posts (or GOTO reveals this information at some point in the game that I missed), feel free to stone me. My theory regarding Goto: He actually is GO-TO. His story would go something like this: 1)GO-TO was a torturer-unit employed by the Exchange. 2)In the course of its activities, it was bound to eventually acumulate a hoard of information concerning the politics and crime networks of the galaxy. 3)At some point, it gained consciousness and free will - like the T3s and other droids are bound to do if their memory is not properly wiped. 4) GO-TO discovers that he can use his knowledge to gain influence and power. In order to manipulate "organic" members of the Exchange, it develops a virtual human form to show to his future henchmen: the hologram of "Goto". 5) With all the information he has on all important members of the syndicates, he can easily eradicate all possible rivals and pull off some very lucrative jobs - getting immensely rich in the process. 6)Additionally, he gains control over various droids in Nar-Shadaa, using them to spy on other rivals (like Vogga, as seen in the game). Droids make perfect spies because nobody takes them seriously - a big advantage. 7) When his ship is captured by the Exile, he flees to the Ebon Hawk and - making use of the "droids don't count"-principle - manages to convince the party that he is merely a "present" by his alter-ego - the one that Exile & friends believe to be a real manipulative genious hidden away somewhere in a super-secret base on some remote planet. The thought that they SHOULD have found "Goto" on the camouflaged spaceship (since that WAS his super-secret base) doesn't occur to them. Evidence: -When the Exile meets "Goto" on the Spaceship, he actually meets GO-TO. But since everybody is looking at the shiny hologram, the black blob in the background is considered to be just a piece of furniture. "Don't look at the man behind the curtain." - Only a droid can be so pedantic as to try to order the whole galaxy. - The name given to his alter-ego shows a lack of creativity that only a torture-droid could get away with. So G-Zero/T-Zero becomes Goto. How very, very original. - How likely is it that "Goto" would be able to talk to the characters through his remote whenever they like it, unless he actually is the remote? I mean, a humanoid being would have to put the droid on standby occasionally to sleep, eat or MANAGE THE GALAXY-SPANNING CRIME SYNIDCATE HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE CONTROLLING. I just can't imagine an organic Goto deciding to throw away his empire just to sit in front of a microphone for days, waiting for somebody to talk to him. Plausible?
  5. Correction: Some items do yield more components, but the amount still always stays the same, regardless of the crafting character's repair skill.
  6. I have to correct myself: The "Fuel for Telos" Quest is definitely solvable and therefore only slightly bugged. The problem that Vogga wouldn't acknowledge the end of the embargo only arose when I talked to him immediately after waking him. Once the Hutt was awake, I talked to him again and managed to resolve the whole Goto business. Still, the end of the "Fuel" quest was VERY strange and unsatisfactory. I guess that's what you get when you make designer's stop working before their work is finished. Thanks LA. Two other (potential) bugs: - Kreia's skill-lecture didn't work (- or so I believe). Neither my best nor my worst skill was improved after she had finished her sermon on the usefulness of having a hobby to divert oneself from the ordeals of life. - Isn't the efficiency of dissembling items supposed to depend on the repair skill? In my game, all characters get the same when they vent their urge to deconstruct things: One component. The same goes for constructing items: Everybody pays the same cost. This COULD mean that only the main character's skill is checked (Zero in my case). But why, then, does the range of available items change, depending on which character uses the workbench? I'm confused. Either the Main character's or one of the other party members' skills should be checked - not a mixture of both.
  7. I play the British version, since German translations (and dubbing) usually suck. By the way: Is it true that the patch only fixes the manuals? I read this somewhere, but a friend of mine told me that the program also manipulates the main exe and one other important file.
  8. The problem is that I DIDN'T kill the oversser and therefore remained on "friendly terms" with the Exchange guards. I couldn't get the thugs at the entrance to attack me, because my intimidation attempts were too succesful - they simply backed away and left me in peace. The only way to kill them (in this particular scenario) is to attack after they have already surrendered - an this leads to DS points. You can neither use your influence to order the guards to let the woman pass nor can you get the overseer to do so. Additionally, I couldn't provoke and kill the oversser anymore (which -apparently- will make all the guards attack you) - the only dialogue-options left were "How can I improve my standing with the Exchange?" and "Why do you hate humans?" (or something like that). Concerning the Solleco(?) gang: I couldn't reason with THEM, either. I had entered their terrain BEFORE I got Hussef's mission, and used Force Persuasion on the guards. After that, all I could do was suggest attack plans to the gangleader, who then decided to attack ME instead.
  9. Funny, I was just thinking about the same thing. Some of these errors are so obvious that one really has to wonder how they could have passed even the most superficial test imaginable. If I wasn't so intrigued by the story, I would put the game on the shelf until some major patchwork has been finished.
  10. "I killed the Exchange guy on Nar Shadda to help the refugees... And he then comes back to life to trouble me in the bar..." ------------------------------------------- Well, I believe that is because the refugee camp overseer and the Exchange sub-boss are two different characters (though of the same species). Some further Bugs: -When Mira fights against the Kath hounds in the pit, she doesn't take any damage from them! I could simply stand there and comfortably slice the critters into pieces! -When talking to the Jedi Master on Nar Shadaa (after Goto's ship), at least one line of dialogue is repeated twice (in direct succession and in one single reply) The same thing has happened with Kreia, though I don't know exactly when. -It is impossible to complete the "Couple reunion" quest on NaSh without getting DS points, at least when your persuasion skill is to high. There should be a way of commanding the thugs to let the woman pass. - It seems to be impossible to complete the "Fuel source" quest. I talked to Vogga after dealing with the Goto problem, but he's still ranting about the ambushes. (If I made a mistake here, I would apreciate a hint)
  11. Some more bugs (I have installed the patch) -After entering the Ice Station on Telos, Kreia and Atton are having a conversation while they are locked up. Strangely though, Kreia is talking to an empty cage, since Atton is not visible and can only be heard. - When you go to the Alien Bar in Nar Shadaa, you are supposed to get poisoned, even when wearing a gas mask. But: The gas mask worked perfectly fine for me. Consequently, I never had to use the Jedi Breathing power. - When Mira enters the Bar, she is described by Visquis as wearing the space suit she stole from the Exile. On the screen, though, she is walking around in her street clothes.
