  1. Heh, so you figured out that she wanted to have revenge on Atris, Sion, Nihilus, the Jedi Counsil and she wanted to destroy the force after leaving Telos? But i shouldn't be that hard on you, i have several relatives in North Bay(Forsman) and i don't want to bring harm to my kin
  2. Almost true, you knew that she was evil almost from the start. But her reasons eluded me until the ending.
  3. I felt the same way too, until my PC landed on the last planet.
  4. Of course it should. But by whom is the the more accurate question. By Obsidian, or by the mod-community?
  5. When my girlfriend played TSL, she managed to have scene with Atton and Disciple fighting over the Exile + Atton asking Bao-Dur about his chances with the Exile.
  6. Kreia: - "There is no great revelation, no big secret. There's only.....you".
  7. Yep, sounds like he's mortally wounded, but Visas heals him.
  8. If that was the reason, then Lucasarts should pull out of the entertainment business. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just imagine a Star Wars film where Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO, Artoo, and Lando all die...I'm certain everyone would love that film because it just brought out all their emotions...NOT. In truth, some of the people wanted their characters to die...but Lucas didn't have it...because that's missing out on his vision of Star Wars. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If true, how could Lucasarts then allowed Bioware to do the DS ending of KotOR?
  9. Before doing anything, you should PM Chris Avellone about it, just for the sake of it. From what i've seen, the only mods that are available for KotOR were something in the vein of save game-editors. When crafting a new ending, you're dealing with more complex stuff than retexturing and changing character stats. If the engine works as i think it does, you have to change certain flags and event-triggers and your own stuff by re-compiling it within the content of what is in the game already. I can say that it's really difficult to do, you need someone with great experience of C++ coding and great knowledge of the Aurora-engine (NWN), which KotOR's Odyssey-engine is built upon.
  10. If that was the reason, then Lucasarts should pull out of the entertainment business.
  11. I'm posting here as a proxy for my girlfriend. She thinks that Mandalore is the only one manly enough.
  12. At http://www.totalvideogames.com/pages/artic..._id=7197&page=3 (I mean the link is on teh Obsidian homepage so I'm sure you've all read it) Was this made up? If not.... that's pretty friggin awesome. Is there a quote from GL anywhere that even mentions KotOR I? I didn't think there was. Anyway, sorry for wasting everyone's time if this has already been discussed in a thread (I could probably have searched but... well I'm kinda trying to complete History coursework at the same time so ya'know... " ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Interesting, maybe he will be personally involved in the development of KotOR III?
  13. You can always (in a polite matter) email Lucasarts and ask for a seperate patch for the soundtrack with a re-mastered audio-files at 44kHz stereo.
  14. The only way they would do that with saving face so to speak, would be a that they released a "Director's Cut" ending as a seperate patch, stating that it would be something special for the fan community.
  15. The xbox version is mixed in mono aswell. But the quality is higher, it's 44kHz at 128kbit/s.
  16. How Jedi of you (i have twisted kind of humor, nevermind that). But yes, Kreia and Malak are evil to the bone if you want to measure their evilness(is that even a word?). However, i like Kreia manupilation tactics alot more.
  17. Hey there, are you saying that can't beat up your wife/husband because you love them too much?
  18. Time might not have been the reason. I think some of that stuff would have pushed the game into M territory and also it's not very star wars like either. It's too dark and downbeat... If Obsidian was told by LA to pull those parts late on then that would explain why the game was as it was. To re record another ending would have required rehiring the VO talent. If Obsidian hadnt discussed the ending with LA before going ahead then they are somewhat to blame. Of course this is purely conjecture. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is EXACTLY what I had said earlier in this thread. I even said the bit about not just plain knowing what really went down. But I have a very strong suspicion that LA probably wasn't comfortable with this content in the game because it just wasn't Star Wars-like. Some of that stuff would've definitely pushed the game into M territory. Time may have been an absolute factor, but I really think because this was a Star Wars game, LA had the final say what does and does not go into the game. And I really do believe they just felt this material, though utterly great, was not Star Wars. That's probably why the BioWare scenes in K1 that involved Carth dying with Revan and such were cut out. And BioWare had three years to develop their game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But you can still kill Jolee, Juhani and corrupting Zalbaar to kill Mission, what difference is that from K2's "missing ending"?
  19. Here you go. Scroll down to Highpriest post in order read it in a more user-friendly format.
  20. Sounds plausible, if the GameInformer article is true.
