  1. And the game does indeed have a darker storyline. Nowhere however does it say we want gratuatus scenes of violence and an M rating. So perphaps Obsidian misinterpreted their wishes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If true, then the DS ending of KotOR 1 would never have seen the light of the day.
  2. I would like to add to the music department the tune called "Ruins of the Jedi Academy", played when returning to dantooine for that perticular meeting at the end of the game. Simply fantastic, right up there with "Bastila Shan"from KotOR 1.
  3. i didnt want to get into an obsidian vs. bioware thing, but.... funny thing is i couldnt even play kotor1 until the second patch. and i couldnt play nwn right out of the box either. so if i went to biowares forums and stated my problems as fact, does that make it any more valid? nope. and neither does his comments. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, hey! Don't be so cranky about Bioware! I was able to play KotOR 1 at ~12 fps about 15 minutes a time before crashing (windows complaining something about my 2,5 gb swapfile not being enough for this behemoth). That's until the second patch when Ati support got better and the memory leaks got taken care of.
  4. 1. Kreia 2. Visas Marr 3. Darth Sion -"This is not a battle of words, but out of blood!"
  5. It was reported that it sold about 500 000 copies on the Xbox in december in the US, and it opened at #1 in the UK (280 000 copies sold). Fair enough i would say, but nothing compared to the Final Fantasy series though.
  6. I just browsed through the E3 site and noticed that Lucasarts have hired two booths. While one is most surely for the "An empire at War" RTS-game, could the second be KotOR III? (And it's not Episode III, it's released prior to E3)
  7. There are people within the mod community looking into it, but so far has no one given a definite answer whether if it's possible or not to mod a "complete ending".
  8. The amount of damage that the rifle is doing is insanely high though.
  9. Unfortunately The DS ending is no better <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Almost even worse actually...
  10. They changed the font from blue to gold-yellow on the main page
  11. Actually it is possible. Sadow was reawakened 500/600 years after the GHW. There is only one source that says he was actually killed by Nadd, others add the BELIEVED to be killed(never believe the world believed, in believed to be dead), and others call it a mystery. The theory can still stand. Sadow is reawakened, and leaves Yavin after Nadd does. 500/600 years later, Exar Kun comes and finds his amulet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? i must've misread somewhere. IIRC, isn't sadow's soul embodied in his amulet?
  12. Chris posted in another thread that they(Obsidian) were quite busy with the patch. Probably some performance issues and bug-related stuff though, just don't expect the droid factory, a whole new ending and a re-mastered soundtrack to be included.
  13. Not possible. He was already dead when Exar Kun entered his tomb on Yavin IV, the only thing remained was his amulet, which Exar Kun used for other targets.
  14. *Force bump* Check the main page about the upcoming patch. Seems like it has been written in panic
  15. Here's an article about making the music to TSL. Look at the people and equipment involved in making this soundtrack, such a waste of talent. For christ sake Lucasarts, if you get sound engineers who has been working on Lord of the Rings("!") don't insult their work in such a humiliating way.
  16. Hah, a dev is lurking at this thread. Back to work with you and convince Lucasarts to fund a proper ending
  17. Wow, you got some set of standards. If you hate playing any other character than yourself, (I like it though, it added a nice touch to the story) try out Bloodlines. That's if you can live the not-so-good combat system and dodgy framrate.
  18. Here's the link. I'm too having problems with chitin.key file, hopefully the peeps at the forum will help.
  19. Ack, after hearing the tunes "The Sith Lords" and "Darth Sion" at Griskey's homepage....Well, feels like half the game is made by a snakeoil-saleman. Of course Lucasarts will never release the soundtrack at a higher bit-rate, we're enthusiasts afterall, a mousefart in the universe.
  20. 1. A new engine (Unreal Engine 3.0 or something alike) 2. Improved influence system. 3. Harder combat (yes, harder. Not longer). 4. Unlike most people, i liked when you have split up your party, more of that. 5. Romances in KotOR II were the step in right direction, but a more conclusive one this time. No shallow Bastila "save the princess"-scenarios. 6. T3-M4 and HK-47 must be in, they're the C3PO and R2-D2 of the series. 7. Let the story focus on finishing the story of Revan/the Exile, making it end in a huge epic battle. 8. I rather have 6 big, involving and varied planets than 10 dull and uninspired ones. Consistency and balance is paramount. 9. No non-jedi bullsh*t. KotOR is about lightsabers and the force, not blasters and grenades. 10. Have a female Twi'lek as a love interest.
  21. Sadly, Obsidian didn't have the luxury that several other developers have (almost everyone of them): To delay the release.
  22. It did break when Kreia died. It was never lethal, she simply lied to you.
  23. Make enemy force users actually *use* the force.
