  1. Skip the Soundblaster X-Fi and get this one HDA Xplosion It's the only stand-alone Soundcard that has a realtime Dolby Digital and DTS encoder.
  2. I would guess re-animation. But that's just me. Since the Planescape is cancelled, i have nothing to fall back on.
  3. Link. Ironically, he got the last laugh. No trial for him.
  4. Good answers everybody. The bullsh*t rhetoric hasn't spread to Obsidian.....yet.
  5. Only Cloud had spickey hair - Squall furry hair - Zidane had pretty long hair - Tidus and wavey hair - Vaan has the boy-band-hair
  6. I saw this rather funny remark at another forum: "Liberals hate america as much as conservatives hate americans" True or false? (in terms of american politics ofcourse)
  7. That would be the most awesome of awesomeness
  8. No problem The controller itself looks much better than being comfortable though.
  9. the US didn't actually lose a single battle in vietnam. we certainly lost a lot of people. we simply lost the propaganda war back home and had to pull out. that's not to say it was a good idea... just that calling vietnam a "loss" really isn't very accurate. taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would say "victory was certainly possible, but the costs in terms of reputation home and abroad, flawed strategy (not inwading north vietnam) and cost of manpower and military equipment for a mere doctrine made it simply not worth it."
  10. Goddammit Volourn! This is my thread! Shoo! shoo! Stick to the "MCA at the 'codex"
  11. Let's just add NWN and JE to the thread and we have 20+ page discussion of "r00fles"
  12. True, true. But there's a couple of awesome ones.
  13. "I suppose outright stupidity and complete lack of taste could also be considered points of view." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which is only a more direct way of saying something that's often expressed here as well. Only difference is that here people try to mellow it somewhat so they won't get moderated. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Throwing flames and telling "f*ck you" isn't something that i want when debating at a forum IMO.
  14. they didn't face hitler, did they? they didn't even have to yell "I surrender" when he walked in. they just handed over the keys to the kingdom. dunno, but they lost, didn't they? taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Still, the French army was more of a threat to the rest of europe during Napoleon than they were when Hitler was around. Thus, my point, what the hell happened? They even put up some sort of fight during WWI, stalling the german troops.
  15. I don't mind it being without it, if a game is well designed within its designated framework, i see no need to implement a world map 'just because'. But each to its own, i guess.
  16. no need to invade... we'd just walk right in! taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's quite interesting on how the mighty, disciplined french army of Napoleon, who made even the russians tremble in fear, degenerate into a bunch of whiney pups, screaming "I surrender!". Did they all die during Napoleon's russian campaign?
  17. NO! PS:T is the holy bible. And Codex are the preaching evangelians.
  18. Seriously, is the existence or even the implementation of a potential world map that makes the game (Oblivion or FFXII)?
  19. If you don't want to play and purchase console games, that's your choice, but who are you to question the companies that back them? They only give the consumer what they demand. The bit about stealing gaming products is what really bothers me, though. Pirating does more damage to the industry than anything else. The actions of people like you affect developers such as Obsidian, Troika, and Bioware that I support. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I will not buy a console or a game specificly developed for consoles out of principle. That principle being that I do not want to support commercial giants like Microsoft or Sony, and also because I believe in the freedom of the PC.. GNU, open source and all that. Its like me not buying porn or products that are made with child-labour. By refusing to buy, Im making a statement. So if a company makes a game console exclusive, theyve already lost me and many people like me as customers. They know that, and it is their decision and their loss. Im never ever going to support the console industry by purchasing any of their products. However, that doesnt mean Im going to miss out on potentially good games And if I help spread console piracy, Im helping the PC market. It might be illegal (copyright vioilation, not theft) but sometimes youve got to stand up for what you believe in no matter what. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What about Nintendo? They aren't pushing the envelope on DRM and other pseudo-security matters. They even admitted that the console isn't part of a larger corporate goal (or so they say) compared to Sony and Microsoft.
  20. I've read some what some people who can read/speak japanese said at other forums. I take it that it is from the Dangeki "first impressions"-page. Most of it is about "great story" and "fun gameplay" but one previewer was 50 hours in and isn't anyway near finishing it and the other was clocking at 100 hours and was at the end. Is the game long, or are the japanese slow?
  21. "Al-aqsa Martys Brigade". I like that.
  22. Isn't that a bit late for that? Why sue now when the game is not even for sale anymore, or if you can find it it is sold for less than 5 bucks? My copy says it's copyrighted in 2001. Guess you talk about GK2 (also seeing the wherewolf reference)? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably true, i've never played GK3 then :">
  23. GK3 drew heavily on Holy Blood, Holy Grail - the book was even featured in the game. The authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail are currently suing Dan Brown in the UK courts for stealing their idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For what? copying fiction? Priory of Sion has never existed outside the mind of the french artist who made it all up.
