  1. Irrelevant. Is there market? Make it and sell.
  2. Glengarry Glen Ross Alec Baldwin sets the tone and Al Pacino gives the best talkdowns to Kevin Spacey, all while Jack Lemmon did the role of his life.
  3. You live in London, don't you? I couldn't imagine anywhere else in Britain a white guy would be called that. On the other hand, i find it cute when people try make fun of the color of your skin. Cracker? White bastard? White Devil? The last one sounds even a bit bad ass. Maybe it's that what irritate them the worst; they can say whatever they can, but they cannot verbally hurt someone white for being white.
  4. Meshugger, I think you better sit down for a bit. I have something I need to tell you, and it's not good news. It's about Voltaire... Touché!
  5. "L-l-l-l-looovve meee-eee!"
  6. Nope, sorry, trying sounding smarter somewhere else. Death to Voltaire! Death to the enlightment! We have a new King!
  7. Piracy is piracy. However, i think that the laws trying to curb it are ridicolous and isn't exactly helping. In the eyes of the law in the western world, you are worse scum if you pirate than if you do assault, rape, or sometimes even murder. That's simply injustifiable. It should be treated as petty theft.
  8. Within the SA constitution its not illegal at all, we have free speech enshrined in our constitution. And no offensive words were used. This would be a debate around the morals and principles of acceptable journalism. Because this issue has become an argument where people say " its racist and unacceptable that a media house allows such a cartoon to get on there website" Look at it this way, if you censor hateful and offensive speech you might go on thinking that some people you meet are decent when in reality they are a bubbling pot of anger, misogyny and racism. Let them reveal their character so that you can freely oppose them. Pretty much, yeah.
  9. Within what framework are we working here? Within the South African constitutional law or in the moral domain? Because i am only interested in the latter.
  10. Are there any good graphic overhauls/mods out there?
  11. Has Oby ever pretended to be one?
  12. If this is true, I could write a long segment about the separation of powers, the judicial process and the policy on customer rights, all in a most eloquent and succinct manner. But i think a more ungentlemanny, direct and hard approach is needed for the DoJ. "**** you, **** your kind, **** everything that you stand for and may god have mercy on your soul, because your flesh is most certainly not getting it". Sorry, but injustice get the worst of me and sets me in a pretty primitive mode.
  13. 1. Does not really affect me. 2. Does not really matter, just buy the needed again 3. Does not really affect me, just untangle them.
  14. And yes, Bruce is actually right on the common identity thing. There are simply too many languages and cultures in the EU to allow any deeper "integration". While we share to a certain degree common western values, we do not share any cultural identities. English is the language of the trade, which is also the very reason why most people like EU as a coalition of trade agreements. Because if you want anything deeper than that, you have to learn the languages and cultures of each nation, or simply dismantle or undermine each of them. Which is why it is not going to fly for anyone except for the beaurocrats in Brussels.
  15. Also, while Hitler hated the socialists and their ideology, he admired their organizational setup in their protests. He used to study their chantings, marches, flagwaving and use of symbolical regalia because it inspired the masses. He simply copied those aspects and incorperated them into his own NSDAP-rallies, which is as far socialist the guy got. I suggest reading "The rise and fall of the Third Reich", there you can get a quite good understanding on what went on in Hitler's head and Germany in general between 1920-1945.
  16. for years we would hear a studio release from the dead and wonder what all those drugged-out hippies were smoking to make'em believe the dead were good, much less great. nevertheless, we happened to see 'em during the period bruce hornsby were touring with the dead, and we were kinda shocked by how much better they were in concert than on the radio. is still not a favorite band for Gromnir, but after we saw 'em, we kinda get it. HA! Good Fun! True. It seems like most of the *great bands give an incredible live-experience. But as soon as they hit the studio, it's like the magic, or whatever you might call it, dissappear. It's like touring and playing in front of people is what give them that special mojo. *great as in those bands that do not sell ridicolous amount of records, but somehow manages to get up to 10 000 attending each venue.
  17. A picture says more than a thousand words :D
  18. Good old Earl Gray whenever i feel like it (4-5 times a year). Any other brand means that you have to go somewhere else than the local supermarket, something that i would never bother myself to do.
  19. Cringey voice acting and some weird glitches, I know, but still. I also just found out this existed. Thanks!
  20. Note that you made no mention of a common currency. How shrewd. Not quite the way it seems to be going, anyway. Took someone long enough. With credit cards, the local currency doesn't really matter that much in the long run. I do hate the TATD though.
  21. ^As with the others ports, i'll wait for the community mods and patches to fix it.
  22. Lots of deadheads in this thread. Not that i am complaining...
