  1. Wizard seems to be more aoe destruction, while Cipher has a lot of single target heavy damage abilities and aoe disables
  2. On the melee cipher you showcased in the video, how fragile did you feel? Does +4/+5 deflection make you feel noticeably more durable in the game? Also, how fast is weapon swapping?
  3. Yeah guys I mean if some **** come in and rate it under 85% because they CLEARLY dont understand ART and want to just RUIN things for those of us who are intellectual enough to objectively assess this unreleased game to see that it is OBVIOUSLY a 95%+ game. It just bums me so much that these trolls and illiterate, reading- hating IDIOTS would even think of rating this game lower than that. I mean, if you don't like it then dont share your WRONG opinion. Everyone knows that negative reviews and opinions poison the games review receptors and negatively impact the game's awesome essence, that will lead to these SCUM MONKEYS ruining the game for everyone!
  4. I find it quite perplexing how so many people are reading reviews, previews and opinions on the game just to find confirmation for their own stances. Enjoy the game yourself. Whatever number different people with different opinions will give the game should not impact your enjoyment of the game, and if people proposing a different opinion are "asses" then maybe you should not be reading opinion pieces, which reviews inherently are.
  5. To sort of illustrate why deflection/will etc. might overall be a preferred stat to constitution: 1 point in CON gives +3% Endurance and Health 1 point in Resolve gives 1 Deflection Every point of deflection you get over your enemy increases the cases out of 100 where you take no damage by 1, take 50% by 1, and decrease a case of full damage by 1. While 10 points in constitution might give you 30% more health, 10 points in Resolve in addition to other things gives you (assuming same base deflection/accuracy between defender/attacker) 66% increased chance of having enemy attack miss (base 15%, with +10 deflection 25%), 29% increased odds to take 50% damage (base 35%, with +10 45%), and decrease chances of taking full damage by 20% (50% -> 40%) while also giving you safety against critical hits.
  6. Okay, so: Death Godlike Cipher AKA MINDFLAYING MOTHER****ER WHO WILL REK YOUR DAY 1.2 damage multiplier on <50% hp targets 1.2 damage multiplier from Biting Whip Primary stats: Might and Resolve (Going with Resolve as I understand that it has more dialogue effects, while perception might be the better choice from a numerical standpoint) Secondary stats: Dexterity/Perception Dexterity speeds up action times, nets more focus with faster attacks. Perception gives defense. Why no intelligence? Ciphers lack aoe and already gain will through Resolve. Base stat effect duration is 15 seconds apparently, and average attack cast is 3 seconds.if a point in INT gives 5% longer duration, you need to spend 4-5 points to get enough duration boost for your stat effect to affect the enemy's attack one more time, so not worth it. Why no CON? Doesn't scale with it as well as other classes. Defense is achieved through high deflection, which is further increased by Psychovampiric Shield.
  7. I messed up my distillation in the labs because I was too busy getting hyped by reading up stuff on my phone. So yes, you could call me excited. First time in 5 years I think that I've been hyped for a release.
  8. Why wouldn't you recruit the "premade" companions first time around, though? Surely they will offer a more interesting playthrough and story than creating your own and sort of playing by yourself.
  9. Ok, ok that's difficult, read this What name would you suggest for a Godlike born in a small boreal dwarf colony in The White That Wends? Um. Me personally? Because I haven't even named my own character yet, buddy. May I suggest xXxShadowAssassin420xXx? Needs moar "k" sounds! xXxShadowAssassinKillerKlown420xXx ftw. A chanter named WeedWizard420Blazeit that uses Snoop Dogg's discography as his chants?

  11. My community event is to not be involved with the community and play the game instead
  12. I usually look to existing mythologies/folklore/religion just because I think that's neat. Making a mindflaying (cipher) death godlike, who I'm going to play from a stoic half evil-half neutral half villain (or chaotic neutral I guess), so I picked Samael for his name. Samael, wrath of god. angel of death, has been regarded as both good and evil in jewish texts.
  13. Dear Sensuki, since you've played the beta, how viable is it to just start playing Ironman style? As in: -Are there moments when death will just strike if you are not in the know of the upcoming adversities (hard difficulty)? -How fast does the game open up? As in, if I start a new character do I have to repeat the same 2-3 hours long stretch of tutorial/intro every time after a character dies?
  14. So many people here seem to be picking wrong based on the pictures posted. Here, let me help you: The only correct race to pick is Godlike. Now make me some death godlike portraits, slaves.
  15. Yeah, unless the manual is really old the game's undergone a lot of changes suddenly :D
  16. There never were any brakes. I spent the entire evening masturbating to going over the characters i want to make, reading race backgrounds and checking out nonspoiler previews... My body is ready.
  17. I've been planning to create a Death Godlike Cipher who uses Greatsword/Arquebus and all ins on Might/Resolve. One of the things I was thinking about was that since the initial defenses for the cipher class are quite low except for deflection, I could make the character "tanky" through using deflection and blind debuffs. By combining Psychovampiric shield with a very high resolve and blind debuffs, I could then make him survive melee combat through people not being able to hit him well enough since the gap between enemy accuracy and my deflection is so high. To people who have played the beta, or are in the know of the systems, has anybody tried this? How does deflection actually work? Can I find the math behind it (or other game mechanics) somewhere?
