  1. I talked with them in January and they are cool with it as long as we stay away from Fallout2.exe
  2. Hello everybody! I'm going to post updates about the game Fallout fans are developing: Van Buren: A Fallout RPG Adventure https://www.facebook.com/f3vanburen http://www.indiedb.com/games/f3-van-buren https://twitter.com/f3vanburen Van Buren: A Fallout RPG Adventure is a remake of Interplay's canceled Fallout 3 by fans. You are the Prisoner in this - the biggest ever - Fallout game. P.S. Can someone tell me how to change my nickname? I'm stuck with my old nickname currently -Hexer
  3. If you're looking for a Baldur's Gate-like game why not wait for Dragon Age to come out? It has been described as a spiritual successor to the original series. Also, there was some talk of BG3 in the works but that was just talk. Here's a BG-like indie being (slowly) developed as well. http://www.planewalkergames.com/content/view/32/46/
  4. I got goose bumps on good ending. The evil one was kind of disappointing with Bastila as the main focus.
  5. REMOVE THAT PICTURE!!!!
  6. I really like roman numerals. The "2" has that generic feel to it... can't explain it right.
  7. What's that place that resembles a grid over planet's atmosphere in one of the concept art pictures?
  8. Could be one of the Sith assassins sent after you? No way, that's not your average Sith assassin... more like a lord
  9. My question... Will this game kick me in the n*** as Torment did?
  10. It's more than obvious who's good and who's bad on that very cool picture.
  11. Whoa! Now that was a creepy picture I like it
  12. Maybe I should finish my post next time I was hinting towards Bioware and Obsidian being something like best friends, not the opposite
  13. You can't have a d20 system CRPG without any "turns" (rounds). The whole system is based upon that. But they could tweak the animations or whatnot to make it appear as real-time if that helps you feel better. We
  14. No, I think that he's saying there's this weird sound effect in Ahto that has this super market feel to it P.S. Cool signature; simple but effective
  15. Well, I guess it depends on someone's taste. Of course, I'm still waiting for Jeremy Soule to beat his TES scores (no matter they're in MIDI). Speaking of scores, where is BIS
  16. I was thinking about that too. I would only do that favor to my best friend, so...
  17. Why was the music lackluster? Believe it or not but that is SW music and will forever remain.
  18. Since there are going to be more Sith Lords, I am wondering in which one will Mr. Avellone "hide his (super) secret alter ego. I am pretty sure that one of the lords will be a half-autobiographic work. Just like Morte
  19. Yes, that's the song I was referring to. I have a DVD right here but I don't have the soundtrack so I can't help you with the song's name. However, the song appears somewhere in the middle of the movie - when Conan decides to find Thulsa Doom on his own or even a bit earlier. But the overall impression is that the song in Icewind Dale 2 was put together from various bits and pieces of Mr. Poledouris' work. Even the different instruments didn't help in disguising the original song. It seems we all agree that the song is somewhere in Conan but we can't decide where I checked out the Baldur's Gate song as well and it's obvious that the composer is finding inspiration in Mr. Poledouris but he's just disrespecting him by giving him no credit. I wouldn
  20. Icewind Dale 2 music has one of the most shameless rip-offs I have ever seen in a game. The movie Conan the Barbarian (1981) has the same tune that is playing in the area above the Targos docks. I have much respect for the original composer, Mr. Poledouris, and it is a shame to see someone else taking credit for his excellent work (unless he was actually credited but I haven't seen that).
  21. I think it's a bit too late for any KotoR 2 wish list, but maybe this topic will help Obsidian in some future projects. * Story (the most important aspect of any CRPG) over hack & slash. Really, what happened to role part in CRPGs? It's good that I can still play good old PnP to get a healthy dose of roleplaying part, but what about those that can't? * Getting out of SW box as much as possible without any Lucas lawyers noticing it * Let us hear good voice actors. At least I can never get enough of a good NPC voice. * Rules system should be complicated, something like that of Fallout. You know, use the same thing in different ways. * Damnit, I want to see European science fiction (preferable French) but that's just me. Boy, aren't they good or what?
  22. Why would someone want a "realistically evil" CRPG villain is beyond my comprehension. I mean, it's just a game If anyone needs a good fill on the realistic evil, slide down into the following pit : http://www.portalofevil.com/
  23. Sounds good to me, can't wait!
  24. Hi! In my case I would go for "entertaining replayability". That's the key word. You know, IMO Tetris isn't quite fun in terms of anything other than simple addictiveness which is often viewed at as replayability. Anyway, Tetris doesn
