I'm always worried that lack of visual fidelity, diversity and animation quality will utterly destroy indie games. Sorry if this seems superficial but if you don't have those things your whole game is ruined no matter how "deep" or expansive anything else is. This is 2014., not 1995., so let's all stop pretending it is, OK?

And don't get me started about cutscene induced stupidity... "No you stupid computer, I don't want my squishy mage to walk right up the 8 elder vampires to carry on a conversation. If I must talk to them before we fight, I'd much rather do it via shouting from the doorway!" That's a good observation, the game making your character retarded by artificially setting up a situation. I wish they would stop doing that. They even did it in Dawn of War 2 campaigns, you could actually lose whole squads due to forced ingame cutscenes.

Here however, you have top side view, with large verity of different actions and creatures, with main goal is to distinguish each as much as possible in away that would be best viewed from our preservative, so it seem to me what you suggest is really counter productive. And that's why Titan Quest with ragdoll physics feels much better than Torchlight 2?? That's why Diablo 3 and Grim Dawn feel much better than Path of Exile? You have to have rag doll physics in games, emphasis on the PHYSICS as in physicality which brings immersion to the world!

This kind of disinformation annoys the hell out of me, I've never experienced any of this and I've been gaming since amazing Titan Quest ragdoll physics, this feature was so fantastic, it made the world so much more immersive, that I thought this would become a new standard in all games but here we are, people lying because of sheer lazyness. How the hell is this not great?? I'm really getting sick of this stagnation and active sabotage of progress.

This might seem nitpicky but for an isometric game, ragdoll physics is quite important. I've always felt that a game feels flat without it. That's why I preferred Diablo 3 over Path of Exile despite the latter being far superior in many areas. Same with Torchlight 2. You really need that procedural grounding element of physicality to make things more authentic and enjoyable. I kinda assumed there would be ragdoll physics since Dungeon Siege 3 also had it but is this really the case?

Dungeon Siege 3 alongside Kingdoms of Amalur really do have the best combat systems ever created. You have just listed perhaps the worst two combat systems I've ever laid my hands on, and believe me, I've played lots and lots of them (in a PC game, that is) -10/10 And with that statement you just lost all credibility to even sniff around this subject.

Sorry but Dungeon Siege 3 alongside Kingdoms of Amalur really do have the best combat systems ever created. This is pretty obvious if you had bothered with either of them. But as I said I don't expect such level of action based skill combat here, just as long as it is better than Dragon Age Origins.

After the Shadowrun Returns experience I've definitely concluded that pause system is much superior than turn based system so I'm glad that at least this is on par. But it always comes down to the quality of animations and visual effects, if it has rag doll physics(without it games feel flat), particle effects, etc..

Is Obsidian going to make Dungeon Siege 4?

It is better if Obsidian petitions Square Enix. -
It would be amazing if you could play as an Inquisitor, Tech Priest(Arch Magos, they even have access to Legio Cybernetica) or rise in the ranks of the Imperial Guard. So many possibilities there, WH40K is the richest universe ever conceived for gaming.
