Is it that you believe the whole game will be short, boring and unimaginative? You haven't even said what you want! ..., but why so much hate on the devs, the game and the posters over here?
Huh, when did I say or do any of that?

I assumed from the aggressive stance you have towards ME that something like that is what seems to be your problem with it, is my assumption wrong? I think that's what I read in your review of the game after all, not in those exact words but as the gist of it. As for the hate ... when you keep saying "you're doing it wrong" all the time and that your way isn't just the right way but the only way in a sense, you are offending not only their dedication but also their experience, their effort, the very sweat of their brow. For me, such contempt and disregard, I can only take it as hate. Then again, just as defining an RPG, this in your eyes may very well be constructive criticism, but just because posting on the internet is faceless doesn't mean it can't be personal.

"That's like saying "Because I liked it!" What was good about it? If that's considered good, AP better be 10 times better, because honestly ME completely fails as an RPG, is mostly on rails, is shallow and half-baked, and features some extremely amateurish design."

ME is a better game - RPG and otherwise - than any KOTOR which you are obviously a huge fan of (most likely more of KOTOR2).

If AP has similarities to ME that's a good thing. The less it has in common with eitehr KOTOR the better. That is for sure.

Hopefully, AP will not have what i dislike about ME; but keep the good stuff (not much to keep since they arne't the same game nor is AP a sequel).

LONG LIVE ME! DEATH WITH KOTOR SERIES!

Hoepfully, AP will be more the ME way not the KOTOR lameo way!!!

You can stop using sarcasm now Volo.

... you've been using sarcasm all along, right?

Right?

"Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

You assumption is not wrong about ME, but when did I say I expect AP to have the faults of ME? The only thing I said was I hope AP will be ME done right. We already know it will have a faction and reputation system, so right there it's different. Edit: If I thought what you claim, I wouldn't even bother.

No, I said Bioware did it wrong, I didn't say anything about Obsidian doing things wrong. Edited by Wrath of Dagon

Hmm, then it would rightly seem I misjudged you. Expressing skepticism is something understandable, though my slightly controlled enthusiasm is quite the opposite. It would have been much better if you had just said "Oh God, please don't do it like Bioware" in the first place, in those EXACT words.

OK, I guess I better consult you on my exact phrasing next time before I post. :ermm: Edit: Here's my first post in this thread btw:

ME did really well for good reason
Name one.

It's true, AP does look similar to ME both in concept and graphics. I'm hoping Obsidian knows how to do it right though.

This is true, but the offer of free stuff is valid.

Cycloneman: In Eve my stats are all combinations of my character's skill level and the equipment/ship chassis you use. "Character" statistics are primarily used for filling pre-requisites to use equipment and many skills have no (or minimal) numerical value in the field.

They still increase your character's power, if only by enabling him to access a greater variety of weapons/abilities (versatility is a power increase).

Okay, here, I think I've got it:

RPG: A game where a "currency" (skill points/experience points or whatever) is used to gradually increase your character or characters' (all the ones you directly control) power/ability in the game.

This currency can be used to permanently increase the powers/abilities of individual characters, which includes (but is not limited to) all the characters under your direct control.

It is not gained solely by progression through the story.

The currency can be used to increase your human or anthropomorphized character

Plus, Kaidan is hot. So there.

I have to agree.

P.S. I loved ME. I thought it a very good game that gave the player lots of leeway to explore at leisure and take missions in whichever order wished. Plus, Kaidan is hot. So there.
What was there to explore? The big mall called the Citadel? The same boring cut and paste planet repeated 35 times called the Uncharted Worlds?

Thread Pruned: Closed.

I am at this moment spending time with my 4 and 7 years old niece and nephew. And I have to say that their etiquette and respect of others far exceeds the wee tantrum and rhetoric that has been used herein. I guess I should not be surprised, but it is always good to see the sandbox messy, to remind me there is always work to do to help people recognise their poor choices ...
