  1. Past hour
  2. Why is it left to right. It keeps tripping me up...
  3. If you’re looking for scorpion free, there’s a stack of wood holding up one of the legs of the snack bar that’s easily accessible right at the start of the game and it’s really close to the Ranger station. There’s also the log fence that goes around the picnic table area and a fair portion of those logs have ropes going between them that you and/or your buggy can use to go between them. You can build bridges between the ones that are not setup for walking on the ropes. There are several trees in the yard where if you build upwards towards where mushrooms that are on them you’ll also find a fairly safe location from scorpions. The podium comes with some enemies around the bottom and on top, but there are some sections at the top that let you build out from it giving you a very high base.
  4. Read Osamu Tezuka's ODE TO KIRIHITO. This is a very good - but very difficult - read. Human, fallible characters are brought to (or near) ruin by their - or others - greed, lust, desire, ambition, or need for revenge against the backdrop of a mysterious medical condition creeping out of a small isolated town in Japan. Some very human unpleasantness surrounding the fantastical elements.
  5. Today
  6. I also liked the base music in Grounded 1 and would welcome its return though I wouldn’t mind if a few other tunes rotated with it while at the base. So far in Grounded 2, I like the one that sounds like a music box that reminds me of the slowed down version of the Gravity Falls theme.
  7. I spoke too soon, after I responded to this its constantly crashing. So no, the latest NVIDIA driver did not fix the crashes. 580.97 still breaks Grounded 2 so I went back to 577.00
  8. I installed it this morning and so far no constant crashes.
  9. Hello! Firstly, thank you for Grounded and Grounded 2. Grounded quickly entered my Top 3 games of all time, and I am constantly trying to get everyone I know to play it. I will preface everything with I know it is currently in early access and many things are still in development, so these are just some of my thoughts 1. Omni Tool - I love the concept, but currently do not enjoy the mechanics of its use. I would love for it to be able to be bound to a different key, as having it set with the same button as interact has me constantly getting back on my mount, or unable to interact with anything around materials like blades of grass or things that require busting. OR - and this would be my dream scenario, have a dedicated button to pull the tool out and have it held in your hand, and be able to cycle through its different modes (or just automatically switches to work with whatever you click on like it is now). That way it solves the inventory space issue, prevents the unfortunate overlap with interact key bindings, and lets me click to use it and feel like I am still using the tool rather than holding down the button (which takes away some of the immersion for me personally). I also hope that there are weapons/items in the future that can double as chopping/busting so if we want to carry those around and use them instead we still can. Best of both worlds? 2. I love the mount system, but need them to stop walking in front of me when I hop off to harvest resources. 3. I would love a mount that can do busting damage to break stones, acorns, pinecones, etc. (maybe also clay even though that is not busting?) Something with a hard head that would just smash them or pincers to crush it. Being able to have a mount Roly Poly that you ride around like Raya and the Last Dragon would be awesome. Maybe a centipede that would be a mount for up to 4 players, one to steer in the front and the 3 others have a section to sit on in the back? 4. I would LOVE to see a Hercules Beetle or Stag Beetle that can throw rocks/players. Maybe even as a mount too (which could work for point 3.) Stick and Leaf Insects could also be cool to include, hiding on stems and leaves. 5. I really hope that if diving bell spiders are included again, there are actual diving bells that can be found underwater and used! (and maybe underwater base building somehow???) Thank you for reading and thank you for including the community on the game development process. I am so excited to see where Grounded 2 goes!
  10. Never change Denji...
  11. I was thinking since the current way of hot equipping your torch while on your buggy and how it's not really helpful. If fireflies make a return to this game could we perhaps harvest their parts to make a mining hat-esque helmet for our mounts?
  12. I don’t know about the cicada noise from a personal preference standpoint. That aside it seems like they would be a neutral until attacked insect for us but get into fights with hornets…actually it’s more like the hornets would pick fights with the cicadas. Crickets are listed in the winter update so look forward to that. Dung beetles could be interesting. If gardening had a stronger focus in the game, I’d say that armor set could provide gardening perks, but gardening is limited in grounded 1 & 2. We could craft a new shovel using their shells. Maybe collect dung as another fertilizer. Dung beetles can be territorial towards their own kind. Maybe the dung beetle armor set has a consequence of triggering their aggression when otherwise they would be passive. I haven’t quite figured out what the perk would be yet to offset that negative.
  13. Hi, Does anyone know how to fix this texture bug. I'm playing on gamepass if that helps. Intel Arc A750
  14. New Nvidia driver available. Anyone had the chance to try it out yet?
  15. I’ve been playing grounded 2 since early access and apart from going up the statue of burgle and the podium feels too empty and flat along with finding the outposts. Apart from the suitcase, it feels too bland because of the lack of puzzles unlike in the first game, I feel like the point of buggies to get from point A to point B as fast as possible and race through grass but there’s nothing to stop for and at that point the world feels empty from the lack of puzzles and it being large and it feels like that everything is stuck to the outside and there’s nothing in the middle of the map.
  16. Wouldn't mind beetle type bug that has a buildable saddle, that we could add pallets to for more harvesting. being a single player its a bit much to make so many trips for wood.
  17. Based of the number of posts I’ve seen and the positive responses to them I agree, many players want something of this nature. It would certainly give us a reason to be switching up armor, more often or to have multiple sets stashed around the map in various bases. I think it might be interesting to have some resources and bugs spawns only appear in certain weather. It might be frustrating waiting for the right weather though… shrug. Who’s to say we can’t make a weather machine in the late game. Once you accept shrinking machines and mind controlled bugs, the sky’s the limit.
  18. As I mentioned in my original post, nothing in the fight one-shots you, except when the boss perfect-parries, dazing you and stabbing you. It's extremely rare, but it can happen. You’ve probably never experienced it because you can easily complete the entire fight without the boss doing it (I’ve already beaten this boss without getting hit a single time and ofc she never parried any of my attacks so i never got dazed). So, the problem isn’t the gear or max health, but that one move, probably not even an intended mechanic. Secondly, I disagree. T3 gear (even if rogue) and max health at that point should be enough to avoid getting one-shot by any of the current creatures in the Yard. That’s the gear you'll be using to face the stronger bugs and bosses in the next patches. As for the ladybugs, you're free to disagree. I’m not saying they’re hard to kill; they’re not. I mean, if we go by that logic, nothing is hard to kill once you know what to do. The point is, at the current stage with max health and maxed T3 gear, nothing in the current Yard should be able to one-shot the player. Again, you might disagree, and that’s okay, but there are bugs of the same level who barely do damage to you let alone one-shotting you and then you have that Orc Lady Bug, just doesnt make sense. So, you shouldn’t be punished like this just for missing one perfect parry or dodge. As for not running hardcore, I just enjoy it because it helps me get better, run the game more times, discover more stuff, notice details, and refine certain strategies. In Whoa! you lose a tone of durability from dying, you have to go back and retrieve all your backpack, so even if you don't play the game in Hardcore this type of unbalance will still affect you and that is why, in my opinion it should be looked at.
  19. I believe most people want this.
  20. The same thing happens to me. I've already lost several ants.
  21. found a bug that happened with arrows and the bow shooting at orb weaver jr. and arrows would grow massive. i was using grub armor and had the beginner bow sprig bow and normal arrows. file size is too large https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3547587265 not sure if this will work or not .
  22. Any chance of adding these insects? African dung beetle, cricket and cicada. Just a suggestion.
  23. So part of the problem here is neither set of Tier 3 gear we have right now is good for taking single big hits of damage: Rogue armor is like the second squishiest archtype in the game (after ranger) and Fighter Armor is great for shrugging off multiple little hits, but doesn't have the Resistance to endure big single strikes. Since we don't have a T3 mage armor with its higher resistance, big single hit attacks are just going to hurt. Also make sure you're using your Sticky Lady in Reds and Human Foods. The Mosquito Rapier is also massively buffed in this game compared to 1 and easily let's you keep a Ladyguard to just, ignore any attack in the game. Even guard crushes deal chip damage through it, and sword stamina boost means you almost always have max stamina for light attack sequences. I also don't know what at all you mean with the boss having a parry attack. Sure they deal a lot of damage but nothing in the fight came close to one shotting me in just the scorpion armor with only 1 health upgrade. Ladybugs definitely deal massive damage though, especially with the Stampede/bull charge, but that's okay, because I don't think they have a single attack that crushes guards, and attack very slowly and rarely. Big sneak attack strategies resolve normal ladybugs easily enough and will give a big boost against the 1 ORC ladybug in the game that you sort of 'have' to resolve. (and even that one is pretty avoidable) Also, don't hardcore this game, especially as a first run, in an EA that has that just seems, excessive.
  24. Still cant access multiplayer. tried to even create new account and stuck on infinite login loop with live login.
  25. My buggy went down while fighting, I died right after. I respawned and my buggy is now under the map w a red skeleton head. I wasn't able to get to him in time to revive him. I cannot call him and he's not available. I cannot hatch another buggy bc it says I already have one but can't cancel this current one. Xbox platform. My last save is from like 10 hrs of play time before that......and he's full of good inventory. Hopefully they patch it so I can retrieve him.
  26. If the reason this wasn't fully fixed was memory, I would prefer it to go back but thanks for fixing it in the latest update. The game now runs much worse over all but I do see that this is fixed.
  27. That’s what the national guard is for, right? Other totalitarian governments have “forces of the Interior Ministry” to deal with dissident and critics
