Overseer Griggs Skill Checks
Peakstar replied to zeran166's topic in The Outer Worlds 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I have the same issue. None of the possible checks actually show up in the conversation (locked or otherwise), but I tried putting 7 points into leadership and that actually made that option appear. Can't get the engineering one to show up at all, however. -
In PoE1 I generally like to optimize them for Torment's Reach (lots of INT and a dual weapon setup). It is very cheap and causes a truckload of damage. I like sabres with this but any heavy one hander setup is nice. But a focus on Force of Anguish is also nice (also high INT to prolong the already long-lasting prone). A single War Club of the Mataru can be very good because it's fast and has extremely high accuracy (+38 if fully leveled and used as single weapon). If you cause a crit, the prone effect of Force of Anguish will last even longer (+50%). Combined with high INT this becomes a very powerful CC tool. You just need to make sure that you gain enough wounds since FoA is pretty expensive in PoE1. You can also use a two handed weapon instead. Less accuracy but more dmg per hit. Llawran's Stick (quarterstaff) is nice bc. of reach and speed. Tidefall is very nice because while the enemy flies away and lays prone it still gets damaged from the DoT.

Just noticing stuff here and there and thought I’d document as best I know how. I’ll change the date if I notice more later but this is as of version 1.005.000 getting stuck walking up the stairs to the left side of the majors residence in Westport. The small stairs between the infirmary and the house with the shortcut to water treatment. There is an invisible collision on the staircase. Very minor and can be jumped over. the lady in the church on the first map (deVries friend I forget the name) will be lying dead in the church after peaceful resolution with deVries. Sometimes she still spawns on free market station sometimes she won’t. Happend twice for me and I tried to keep her door closed on the second one because I thought she might have gotten killed by mobs. But I think it’s something wrong with moving her. I don’t know When respecing after the intro you loose access to all all crafting recipies owned by default. The object is still in the inventory but the option will not show up in the crafting menu. Pretty dire as we loose the basic pistol rounds, grenades and distraction devices as well as inhaler charges. It’s a testament to the flexibility of the game that it’s still playable on the lower difficulties with that. Also I sort of think that bullying us for trying to get a „perfect“ start then switch our build might be funny. Radio triggers seem to be broken. When and where the radio reacts of even if is sort of inconsistent. I don’t think that is the intended effect. Or maybe I’m just unlucky and/or rushing.

achievements not tracking
BaconCat02 replied to MaccaCFC's topic in The Outer Worlds 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I was able to get those achievements. For the Dance Saber I had to send my companions to the ship cause even if I got the final blow it wouldn't count unless it was only me. oThere are other ones that are stuck for me or bugged. Such as completing all companion quests, big bang, finding all the rifts. I hope they fix the achievements soon, glad they're patching everything. -
Music: Sharing and Listening - Where words fail, music speaks

Always loved this story-song. When I was really little, it even made me sad. Poor Big Bad John. : / But I never knew there was a "sequel song." I don't like it nearly as much, but hey, I don't have to mourn for Big John anymore. -
https://edition.cnn.com/2025/11/13/politics/epstein-files-house-vote-johnson I have mentioned many times I dont waste much time on conspiracy theories and that includes Trump conspiracy theories that either he peddles or are about him But I do wonder why the WH is so opposed to the full Epstein files being released. The House will vote on this and hopefully they get 2/3 veto-proof majority I am now interested in what is so bad about the full release of these files
-
Trump has officially become anti-MTG because of her view that the full Epstein files must be released I have never liked her but its a good example of the mercurial nature of Trumps support for political allies

Jack Batson replied to Biblitz's topic in The Outer Worlds: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hello I am playing out of Worlds 2 and I am on the mission (the last day of William Wray). I have done everything required of me in the mission and my only thing left. is to go meet with Auntie Cleo. but yet when I go to the elevator I have no access at all. I loaded different save files that didn't work. Here's a picture of my quest board so you can see. Sorry it is so small but you guys don't allow uploads of less than 512kb. -

Random video game news... RNG is your friend!
LadyCrimson replied to Frak_the_2nd's topic in Computer and Console
Ah. Well, I didn't read all their announcements or dev blogs or any such. I just knew it was being made/probably saw some "upcoming" videos, quick read the store page, and bought it on ea-release. I still think it's a weird thing to utilize early-access for. I know "everyone" raises the price on full release, ofc. -

Karate Kid Legends - in a review of The Long Walk, the young Asian actor in that was mentioned re: this movie. Which made me go "There's yet another KK movie?" ----certainly can't hold a candle to the original film (RIP, Pat), but there was enough scattered nostalgia-bait to make me smile. I liked the middle section with the father chr. the most, it had the best chr. moments imo - the bully vs underdog aspects didn't work for me here because it seemed to take backstage, thus "don't care". I liked it a fair bit better than Will Smith's son version - although since - outside of J. Chan - I actively disliked that one, not sure if that's a glowing endorsement. Last Samurai Standing - battle royale, short series, in the after-Edo period. Desperate ex-samurai get into a thing - with over-dramatic political/rich conspiracy in the background. ----I wasn't super feeling it until the 3rd episode. 3rd episode was a corker imo and convinced me. Once the number of people is whittled down a bit, series starts to come together better. ----action sequences, mostly awesome. Camera work, choreography. ----No magic/superpowers, but some of that anime speed/strength, especially a couple chrs. ----you'll hear "it's like Squid Game" a lot perhaps in reviews. But outside of the rich politicians making bets (which IS very squid game feeling), the rest isn't. ----mostly action, some humanistic elements, good cast, I ended up liking it. Action stuff: 8.5/10, overall: 6,5/10 -
Sound effects: Since starting the game, the corner that the pets are in have sound effects without the pets out. They all overlapped until the new update. Now it's only the continuous aunties choice AD sounds with whatever pet I have out. Pets glitching/not appearing: it started with the sweet roll worm. It was chosen when loading my save then after using the workbench, now it won't appear anymore. The premium edition sprat is effected now after a couple more hours.

I agree with maki, of course it feels great to slaughter everything that is in fron of you and see that nobody is standing. Though it feel like you are the only person on the planet which in return makes you feel regret that you'll be alone in ghost towns and wilderness. Maybe bodies could decay after a while and we could see more enemy spawning through portal or airships? Maybe to claim the land for themselfs. That would be so cool to have a mechanic like this that you never can expect whats going to happen next time you take a visit in place, more random encounters and watch patrols/bosses roaming around the planet minding their own business.
