Inquisitor vs Psyblade

Hey guys ! 

 

I'm planning a 2h melee multiclass cipher using a great sword to be a strong damage dealer while remaining survivable, and I'm torn between two options:

 

- Inquisitor (Bleak Walker/Soulbound) for FOD, Soul Annihilation and paladin accuracy aura and abilities

- Psyblade (Devoted/Soulbound) for Devoted bonus, Soul Annihilation, and figther aoe stance and abilties

 

Which do you feel is more powerful/fun to play ?

I can't say how the Inquisitor is, but the Psyblade (dev/soul) is really strong. I'm dual wielding, with draining whip (100% more focus gain) and mob stance. High pen gives 100-130% dmg with normal attacks against almost all enemies and Soul Annihilation is up and ready after one auto attack.

Currently my watcher is the only dmg dealer I need (with about 10x the dmg output of any other party member), the other 4 are more there for support and splitting damage.

 

She is a bit squishy since I use light armor, but got some defensive abilities to handle that, and the theme is more kill the enemies before they have time to hurt you.

 

Mob Stance is really satisfying to see her instantly kill 3-5 enemies in one go.

Have you tried Barbarian/Soul Blade? Carnage fills up your focus really fast.

Did they change that? Carnage in the beta did not generate focus...

Psyblade is better at soloing because fighter has two aoe Charge and Cleave early in game. Inquisitor is more supportive.

 

Also Fighter resistance is better than pal's. Stun, Paralyze and Terrify resistance covers all hard CC in the game.

Barbarian fits my concept less.

Seems there's a preference for Devoted/Soulblade so far

 

I will be fighting with a 2h greatsword and medium/heavy armor, not dual wielding, is the psyblade still the way to go ? (With draining whip)

Regarding soloing, I'm in a party with Eder (fighter tank), Aloth (Wizard controller), Xoti (priest heal/support), and soon Pellegrina (Off-tank and DPS, Paladin or Paladin/Fighter)

Greatsword with the added accuracy and pen bonus from devoted is excellent for Psyblade. You'll be filling your focus in one or two attacks (one with Whispers of the endless paths) and dish out 100-150 damage with soul annihilation.

Psyblade is stronger but has less group utility.... i tried an orlan 1h psyblade with 80-90% hit to crit for a while....was very reliable

Nemesis what group utility am I giving up on the inquisitor ?

Also do you have recommendation for talents that worked well for you ?
